Xperia XA does not accept my PIN and some other bad experiences.

Ok. Here is my experience with my new XA Xperia.

Number #1: Pin code is not accepted

I I had a few months ago and was very happy with it. Last weekend I went to bed and the battery was about 50% charged when I woke up the battery was completely empty. So I put in the charger and turned on after a while, but now the pin code is not accepted. The phone says only: "incorrect pin code. I have the same code as on my last phone and know 100% that I him have not changed my car during the night. I don't know even how to change. So it seems that either there is a bug for the correct pin code is not accepted or pin changed what it self.

Question #2: Xperia companion do not work

SOI a phone change the PIN by him then, it's annoying, but it must be possible to do a reset of some sort. So, I'm heading to the sony site for support and find this guide this visiting me to use Xperia companion to reset my phone. (http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/xperiaxa/faq/I-cant-unlock-my-screen/)

I have install Xperia companion and follow the guide to do a reset, but I can not complete guide and get an error instead. I'm so trying to solve this error, but so far without success.

The error code is: UEStartNoMorePorts L_2384

#3 number: The support contact page do not work.

At this point, I realize that I won't be able to fix this on my own, so I'm heading to the Sony support page to get a cat to support. But even if this seems to be a problem. When I access the support page the selecter country do not work and the "contact us link' send me just to any work I'm already on following page.

Sorry, Sony, but it's on the work experience that I have had with any phone and support department. Not only my phone does not work, but any attempt to solve the problem and get appropriate support has failed. I spend hours on this and are very disappointed. Please let me know how to proceed.

I proved that the drop-down list countries worked for the Australian version of the site...?

in any case, I managed to get a cat to support going after selecting the Denmark as my country. However, the support was not very helpful. The supporter has no solution for the Xperia companion error and suggested that I tried on another PC or turned my phone the retailer.

Now, I am stubborn and finally came with a solution of my self. I uninstalled all the Sony software namely:

  • Engine update Sony Mobile
  • Companion of Xperia

Then did a registry cleaning with a small software called CCleaner.

Then I reinstalled Xperia companion and tried to do a factory reset again. This time, it worked.

So, if someone else has this problem, please try the method described above.

Support staff of Sony is useless and I have to say that the level of support is terrible. If my trip can be reduced to this:

Phone does not > software does not > Web site works not > when I finally support is useless.

Figured it out myself but spend too many hours in the process.
