  The video codec required to decode and display the video can not be installed on your computer. For example, if you try to read a file that has been encoded using the DivX video codec and you do not have this codec installed on your computer, you will probably hear the audio portion of the file, but you will not see the video.

  Similarly, if you try to read a file that has been encoded using the MPEG-2 video codec and you do not have a compatible MPEG-2 decoder (also called a DVD decoder) installed on your computer, you may see an error message or encounter other problems of reading.

  Let's try the following:

  1. Close the browser windows
  2. In Explorer, navigate to the following folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ (the best way to do this is to type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto in the path of the Explorer bar).
  3. Remove the Macromedia folder
  4. Then, go to the Adobe folder and delete the folder 'Flash Player' inside.
  5. Finally, go to "c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash" and look for a file mms.cfg.  If it is present, please rename it.

  Once done, try those sites to reoffend.

• Firefox will not play many videos, sounds and other Html5 applications but Youtube is fine.

  No matter what are the options I change (I tried everything under subject: config), videos html5 play not (format not supported, etc wrong mime type.). On youtube, html5 player works fine.

  I'm trying to burn a DVD with a slideshow of 11 minutes and 5 title slides.  The original slideshow is a .mov format.  FormatFactory ver3 to convert to wmv.  When the 11 min wmv file is imported into Windows Movie Maker 6, only 50 seconds to play.  The timer/counter shows he is still streaming, but the Visual remains frozen and the audio stops.  This is true even for a dvd burned from the file.  The burned DVD will load and play, but video and audio that freeze the counter continues.  The wmv file plays completely using windows media player, but I need to burn DVDs for this file.   I checked the images on my PC & camera before its importation for Premiere Pro and it worked perfectly without delay or problems, but now when I try to play when editing images, it keeps late and the sequence marker keeps constantly jump at the earliest in the video on its own... I tried to re - import images and restarting my computer but I still get the same results. I have the more return version of Premiere Pro on a 30 day free trial before you consider buying a monthly subscription.

  Your videos mp4 actually is H.264 on probably W10.

  I'm guessing you laptop is unable to process the images in first. Play pictures say WMP is no guarantee that it will do in a video editing software.

  We won't know for sure unless you give us your model specifications.

  Maybe a better idea to shoot avchd instead of mp4 with your camera.

  It is obvious that the DVD is protected against copying. Therefore, you cannot copy the contents of the disc. But to read the DVD, you need a suitable decoder. If it is missing/corrupt/out of date, you may need to install the most recent.

  Have you installed the readers of third party DVD like PowerDVD, WinDVD, etc.. ? If so, it should work.

  When the game is selected, it scrolls through the list of titles and then stops.  It is on a work computer running Windows XP SP 2 and using roaming profiles.  Another user is able to play the cd on this computer and this user is able to play the same cd on another computer.  I tried the update of Media Player 9 for Media Player 11 but no change.  I tried to delete the user profile directory and not recreating also no change.

  So, your best bet would be to rename your profile.  You will probably need an administrator to rename your profile.

  Rename your profile, simply add .old the end of it.
  When you reconnect, a new profile will be generated, and you should have music again.
