XPS 420 Blu Ray does not play because of the HDCP copy protection

My powerDVD program displays an error 0110 that she cannot enable HDCP encryption and stop play on blu ray movies using the DVI - D connection. Plays well with VGA cable. Video card Radeon 2400 with the last driver and is HDCP. Monitor is 2408WFP and is supposed to be HDCP DVI port. Windows XP Service pack 3.

Blu - ray player plays 5 seconds of video correctly with DVI connection but then stops due to copy protection. I lowered the resolution (1920 X 1200 to 720 resolution vertical and the lowest was 800 X 600), installed the latest drivers, reinstalled the PowerDVD program supplied with the Dell computer.

CyberLink has an Advisor on Blu ray and it indicates that the video connection is NOT HDCP (the monitor). Everything happened. I am aware of the program AnyDVD HD but prefer not to have to buy.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

  • Samsung Blue Ray does not connect to internet, but being of other devices.

I used this Blue Ray Samsung drive with this router for over a year without problems. A few days ago I set up parental controls, by downloading the Netgear Genie app on my PC from Windows desktop, on the router, and now Blue Ray does not connect to the internet. However it connects to the router fine. I have 2 phones Andoriod, 1 tablet of Andoriod, a WII Game Console and your Windows desktop that all connect to the router and the internet very well. I tried shut down the drive several times over 2 days and has been turned off at night twice. I deleted and re - establish the creation of a Wi - Fi connection on the player. I even updated the router. and off the Parental control. all this without any success. The DNS and IP are obtained automatically by the player. Any ideas?

  • hppavilion dv7-4177nr blu ray does not

I ' v got this laptop awhile back and I think that the first I used for bluray and it does not work. Updates are shown as updated. When I place the disc bluray inside says "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD. The disk has been created in a way that does not support the player. "What should I do? I'm still learning how to use my laptop.

    Hello

You need a licensed software in order to play a Blu - ray disc, WMP does not support this format.

HP provides a version of Cyberlinks PowerDVD 10 - download the latest installer for it on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56904.exe

Once the download is complete, open your downloads folder and double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK in this software.

  • Not supported format - Blu - Ray will not play on HP Pavilion

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC WA794UA #ABA CNF0162R76.

Whenever I try to play a Blu - Ray disc in my Blu - Ray player, I get an "Unsupported Format" Message in HP MediaSmart DVD Player.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

If you use HP MediaSmart DVD (which can be glitch) to read the Blu - ray disc, try the following.

HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the installer for it on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.exe

When the download is complete, open windows panneau Panel configuration, open programs and features, right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.

    Kind regards

d.When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK.

  • Blu - Ray will not play on Satellite P855-307

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop but I can not play Blu - ray discs; Toshiba Blu - Ray disc playback software loads but does not recognize the drive. The player will play DVD/CD without any problems. The same problem happens with Nero Kwik Media software.

Any ideas what is the problem?

I tried running via integrated and graphics NVIDIA, but it made no difference.

Have you tested with different Blu - ray discs?

Problem: late for my annual consultation of AVATAR on Bluray. Suddenly, Blu - Ray is no longer 'works or bed. " I remember that it works last some time in mid-2012. I hate a HD 5750 both as a player BluRay 3 years.

Attempt of solution (s): heard the analog sunset. Bought a brand new BD Drive about a month ago (September 2013) (see above) and installed it with 7 freshly from the 64-Bit window wiping. HDMI cable is plugged. Each driver is up-to-date (YES! I'm sure!). Display the default HDMI. Even with disconnected VGA, HDMI to HDMI output in does not work when you restart.

... I even plunged into "The onion" for responses and is still short came.

EDIT: I've heard theories of a defective HDMI port in my monitor... My argument is that he has not moved within 4 years, I got it and if something were to go (which he did not), it's nothing that a simple keyboard Cleaner couldn't fix. It has not folded or damaged.

Then... After all those months of research and everything... everything that...

My friend and I were dooped last night it STILL didn't work. I watched the HDMI, he given and which was already plugged in and noticed something that I'm stupid to not have noticed before. However, there is no block of interference... Through all his equipment and caught me a HDMI cable with alto and blocks of interference... works.

Sorry for wasting time! Problem solved!

  • Blu Ray does not work after upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit

Hope someone can help with this problem. I found a lot of forum and users with similar problems but I can't solve this problem.

I bought this HP Pavilion DV7-1055EA about 3 years ago the drive blu - ray one of the points of sale, it was loaded with Vista 32 bit. After making this computer has 4 GB of RAM instead of 3, I did a clean install of windows 7 64-bit. After which my Blu Ray player stopped working.

When inserting a CD/DVD, the drive works fine and everything is as usual, however when insert a Blu Ray disc windows does not recognize the drive IE "drive is empty".

Different things, I tried to set the inclusion of the problem, reflashing the BIOS, install the latest firmware, re - install the game media, installed PowerDVD but without any change in the symptoms.

Can someone help with this problem? Well, I'm stuck on this one like blu ray readers are not my strong point in computers. Maybe HP (in their wisdom) printed a digital brand on the device which prevents him from being compatible with more recent versions of windows? I talked to HP however my warranty has expired I do not pay £15 for a fool to tell me to come back for win vista (which is the worst OS known to man kind) or that there is no solution available. Help, please?

    Hello

After writing this last post, so I decided to download Nero Info Tool to look at information from drive etc.

The program asked if I could put in a disc to test the speed of running, so I thought... what the hell I'll put in a blu - ray disc and see what happens.

Next thing I know that running speed test took place then everything suddenly the blu ray kicks in life and he was here... smooth as the more calm waters, known for the kind of man... my blu ray film.

Reboot the machine and now the blu - ray player works fine. Any idea on what just happened?

  • Blu - ray does not work after upgrade to windows 7

Hi, couple months ago, I installed windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv5-1070ew (previously it was pre-installed Vista). I installed the latest version of HP MediaSmart DVD (4.0.3822) downloaded directly from HP.com, but unfortunately, when I'm inserting a disc BLU - RAY it is not played. HP MediaSmart DVD opens and he writes that "the disc is ready to play" (so it is able to see the disc), but when I click on the "Play" button, the monitor starts without flinching for a moment and then nothing happens...

Thanks in advance for any help

It's amazing! I found this thread:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/CD-DVD/HP-MediaSmart-DVD-crashing-Blu-ray-issue/TD-p/100943/page/2

where DragonflyKing writes that Comodo Firewall can cause, MediaSmart will not work. So I uninstalled and now everything work perfectly! It's really amazing!

But now I have another problem: what free firewall should I install instead of Comodo? Do you know anything as good as Comodo?

Thanks for all your responses, time and kind help!

  • upgrade to windows 8.1 now my blu ray will not play blu - ray movies

I have a Studio XPS 435 t/9000 with an amd radeon r9 200 series graphics card and the hard drive is a PLDS DH - 6E2S 6 X HH SATA multiformat DVD-RW/BD-ROM. and I have cyberlink power dvd 14 ultra. all suggest how to get my computer to read blu ray update firmware of the dells site doesn't seem to work on windows 8.1.

When you insert a blu - ray disc, open Explorer and click on the optical drive and tell me if you are able to read the contents of the disc. If you are, then the drive is fine but you need an application to read any blu ray movies. If you can not read the contents of disc, I suggest Dell diagnostics running on the drive with a blu - ray disc in the drive and perform the test of READING.
