  • Remove malware from the iPhone 6

    Hello

I own an iPhone 6. I have whatsapp on it. Someone sent me a video through whatsapp and I clicked it. However, I fear that there might be malicious software that I do not trust the source who sent me the video and I opened it by mistake. Is there anyway to detect malicious software or remove it from the IPhone 6 without having to reset to factory settings? What is the best way to secure all my data and passwords on my phone? The software was not updated when the incident occurred. I have updated to the latest iOS a few days later.

Also, I have an iPad that has the same applications and passwords for my iPhone. Is it possible that the malware would be transmitted to my iPad when I'm online? I also have a Mac book. Is my Apple ID even course or should I change it?

  • How can I locate and remove malware from my Windows XP laptop?

Last week, my Windows XP laptop (at work) became infected with one or several programs of virus and malware (including a program of Netsky).

I ran my McAfee virus scan and removed the virus that we found.  When the Netsky pop-ups started to happen, I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (mbam - setup.exe) by following the instructions in our IT Department.  When the Netsky guest continued, I have downloaded and run W32.Netsky FixTool of Symantec 1.13.0 who stopped the guests.

This morning, I met 'Update KB977165' failure in the startup problem.  From what I read this problem seems to be limited to "infected" computers  I just finished rerunning McAfee and Symantec Malwarebytes with no infections found.

My COMPUTER service feels that the mbam - setup.exe should have solved the problem.  Whenever I look at using malicious software removal on the internet, I get more ads for questionable software applications than anything.

Is there a detection and removal of malware simple tool that doesn't cost a fortune (as FREE)?

Sometimes you need something like CCleaner to remove the no side program. If not, look under your Program Files directory and see if you can find a link to these programs/toolbars and see if there is an uninstall for them otherwise you will have to make a Chrome uninstall and see if he has hidden the uninstallation of these emissions. Otherwise, you will need to use like the other poster or restart your computer to the last frame of work to wipe these programs to the wide and this time reinstall as "custom" or let me choose how to install options NEVER use express install is how you get these malicious toolbars and stolen file associations. In this way, you can stop the programs you don't want to install and only install the browser Chrome itself.

  • remove my photos from the ipod

I have an old Ipod Nano that I give to someone.  How can I delete all the photos of this unit?  Thank you!

    Hey dafhfdhgfgh,

I understand that you want to remove photos from your iPod nano before giving it away. It's something I can help you with that.

The first thing to do is to connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. The next thing to do is to create a folder on your computer and then in iTunes, you will want to select this folder. Then it comes to synchronization and the photos will be deleted. Take a look at the first article below for more details.

Delete pictures and videos synced from iTunes when you can not access the originals

Ideally, you want to restore your iPod before you give it away. This will also delete photos from your iPod but also a part of your content on it. The steps to do this are in the next section below.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

What is a good software to use?

    Annelie salvation,

I think I wrote you with feedback in application (you wrote through the application of the model), but just in case... I think that the draw could work for it. If "mode flat drawings" are what I think they are.

The only problem, if you have a computer, would export to high resolution, but if this isn't a concern, I think that the tools would be good for what you are doing. There are also sketches Photoshop... it has excellent tools pencil and pen.

  • Good software to make a font?

I did a search here, but the last thing that appears is from 2003.

Anyone know of any good software I can make fonts with? This is my first attempt and I want something free or cheap just to see how I like it.

    Thank you!

Here are your options. Note that some commercial applications have a free demo version, but the limitations of the demo can be too big for your needs.

Forge of fonts: open source, free. Not all that easy to use, don't use standard OS user interface controls. Powerful enough and done a lot. A very good choice if you're a technogeeks with lots of time and zero money.

TypeTool: $99, the "low end" tool from the creators of FontLab Studio, same interface etcetera. Probably your best choice if you might want to take seriously, even if it's not terribly easy to use.

FontCreator: $99. They claim massive popularity for her, but I've only heard of one or two people using it in the type community. No comment on the quality or the interface.

Fontographer: $349, relatively easy to use.

FontLab Studio: $649, not so easy to use, but incredibly powerful. The tool used by > 90% of professionals and hardcore font developers.

CorelDraw can technically be used to make the fonts, but I wouldn't bother unless you already have a copy, what makes 'free' your POV. Even then... ick. It's like eating soup with a fork. You can do it... type of.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Its best to use several methods to ensure that all malicious software is detected and deleted.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
It will display all the infections in the report after you run - if it will not run changed the name of
TDSSKiller.exe to tdsskiller.com. If she finds something or not does not mean that you should not
check with the other methods below.

  • When removing malware, damaged or corrupt files?

I have a microsoft technology removes the fake Vista Total Security 2011 on my computer.  Then my IE wouldn't load and I couldn't get a satisfactory answer (on Sunday).  I reinstalled my windows vista operating system and had to reload everything from scratch.  All my previous files are in a file called windows.old.  Question: If I transfer files from windows.old in these circumstances, will be corrupted files?  I want to transfer my files from windows.old MP3 music.  I am also risk reinfecting my system with a virus if I do this?

I don't know that other answers exactly answered your 2 questions so:

When the malware is removed, it is possible that the files could be damaged or corrupt, but only occur if malicious software has infected these specific files, so in the process of getting rid of the malware, the AV program is perhaps not able to distinguish malware from the original file, so it could just delete the entire file and then you would have problems because the file is now missing.

Unless the MP3 files became infected, it shouldn't be a problem to copy. However, as Steve has said it's a good idea to get a good AV like MSE realtime and an additional scanner for all what MSE doesn't pick up, like Malwarebytes. If you use both to analyze the Windows.old folder before copying anything, this would significantly reduce the risk of infection of your new installation.

  • iPhone 6 - display lights not on; need to remove photos from phone

    Hello

Two nights ago my phone is dead, and I do not have a charger certified by apple for the re - load. I tried to use imitations, but she would not charge from 1 percent.  When I got home, I connected it to my computer with my apple power cord and it started to load. The screen worked and I was able to access my applications, photos, etc.  I * think * the device was recognized as "IPhone Kimberlee 2nd" or something like that on iTunes, but I am not sure that I was just happy he was charging at that time there.

When I got about 50-60% of the battery, the screen all of a sudden would not turn on.  I was able to turn off the phone by pressing the power and the homescreen for 15 seconds, and then pressing the power button to turn it back on.  But the screen remains black. I received notifications for emails and SMS and the ringtone to vibrate control worked.

Then iTunes prompted me to update the software on my iPhone, I did.  Still not illuminate the screen.  In addition, at this point, my only option in iTunes is to "restore" a back that was before I got my iPhone 6 (probably my last backup to my iPhone 4) or "put in place the new phone.  I'm also not able to sycn or remove pictures through my vs PC via iTunes. Given that the screen is black and iTunes does not recognize my iPhone, I can't take action on my current iPhone.

At this point, I want to really just get my photos out of there before I do more troubleshooting or DIY.  Once my photos are turned off, I'd be fine with restoring my phone. I'm sure that I was not backup via my iCloud because I had too many photos, so I disabled it (probably a bad idea in hindsight).

So, is it possible to get my photos off my phone when my screen is not working and the iPhone is not recognized in iTunes?  If I have "set up as new phone" will that erase data, photos, etc. on my current phone?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!

If the phone is not recognized by iTunes how did you do the other steps in your message? If it is recognized that you could try to import pictures in the article below explains. If not, your only option with a black screen is to take it to an Apple Retail Store for evaluation.
