  Exactly 10 days ago, I bought a new laptop, the Acer Aspire.  It has replaced my seven-year-old Dell Inspiron.  After that a series of file transfers, I now InDesign files available from the hard drive of Acer.

  So I opened one of my InDesign, a personal project files that resembles a program memory which would have awarded a fictional family in NC for a 'meeting '.  To create a editorials and "advertising", I used dozens of fonts that I could access it from the Dell printer.  These fonts included with the endings 'BT' and "BTN."

  However - and to my horror - when I open this file on the Acer, "BT" and "BTN" fonts, as well as four other people, was missing!  TypeKit has been able to find the other four fonts and transfer them to my new version of Acer, but 'BT' and 'BTN' fonts are missing, and the dialog box wonder of having them a unique default font whenever I open the file.

  I've isolated a part of the problem is that each computer has different fonts in their OS in-house.  There again, I don't know if Dell has installed the fonts 'BT' and 'BTN' can I access is no longer on the Acer.  I remember them introduced another way.  Some of them were like Adobe programs were installed. others may come from a program called Greeting Card Factory I have installed on the Dell computer.  (I would try this possibility now, but unfortunately I did not keep the CD I got with my purchase!) )

  Also, I realize that I can go to third-party Web sites to install the missing fonts.  But with 20 fonts in total are listed in the missing fonts dialog box, need me forever - and perhaps a lot of money - to get all of them back at once.  Is there a website or a program that can allow me to download at least some of them at some point?

  Also, if someone else has used the GCF and can remember which fonts it uses, I would appreciate that information.

  BT fonts are of Bitstream and would usually found packaged with CorelDRAW.

  If you have access to the old machine, look in the windows / folder fonts where you should find all your fonts. I also recommend a font manager well. I'm a fan of Suitcase Fusion who now has a feature that stores all your fonts to the cloud.

  To my knowledge, Microsoft does not provide a program to find duplicate files.  There are many 3rd party freeware programs that will provide this function.  Never trust a program to delete automatically a file duplicate, because it would be difficult for a program to know which file is the critical place and what file is just a backup.  The best they can do is show you the duplicates and let you decide which ones to remove.  One of these freeware programs is "Duplicate File Finder"

  I opened my Viewer and noticed that many of the photos that I took of my Blackberry are displayed twice (the duplicate is right next to the original with a #2 next to the description).  It may have happened when I sync or back up my phone to my laptop.  It would be tedious to go through each photo and delete.

  Maybe try pressing the F9 key. Who should open the window of Advanced Interaction and show you all the measurable items in a dialog box. You won't be able to something else that LOOK in this dialog box, but it would probably help you find what you are looking for.

  As for frustration - the solution is to take the time to learn how to use pictures - it's a new and different program that, like all new software, does not exactly work as pref = vious PHotos and software has a learning curve - until you take the time to learn how to use it you will continue to be frustrated because you will be with any new product tha tyou don't understand

  is there an easy way to access my photos in the Photo for OS X app?

  I know that I can export (for example on the desktop) and then drag and drop it into the destination folder/app

  Another way is to use the menu to access media when opening files in apps but its not convenient to get the right picture.

  Are there other/better ways that I can get my faster photos to other applications?

  Use the menu to share Photos to share on Facebook or other applications.

  And if you want to open photos in other applications, you can use the extensions of these photo editing applications.  Or use the External Editor extension to open any other photo editor of pictures.

• Is there an easy way to delete the original files replicated by iTunes game downloads?

  I have a library of great music stored on my Mac. When I subscribed to iTunes game, most of my songs appear in iTunes with the icon 'cloud' indicating that I was able to download the track, even if the files were stored locally in my iTunes music library.

  For various reasons, I wanted iTunes to recognize the local mapping to all my music files, so I selected my entire music library in iTunes, right click and choose 'download '. Now, it seems that all the files are uploaded to iTunes as a high quality files, which is great, but if I look in the folder for each album in my iTunes music library, I see now two copies of each song - the original file and the new higher quality file.

  In iTunes, I see only an entry for each track, so it's good, but the additional files are eating plenty of disk space unnecessarily. I don't want to go into every single album folder and delete old files to original, so I hope there is an easier way to remove.

  If you have decided to move to the new computer and don't use the old one, I'd take a glance article back up and restore the information contained in the Firefox profiles and restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer .

  If you are still using the old one or if you using sync would be easier to transfer your data, you must enable Firefox Sync on your OLD computer first. Then you could sync all bookmarks to your new computer. After that, you can remove your old computer from synchronization if you do not use it.

  Whenever the iPad Pro 'locks', connecting to my iPhone 6s hottest spot goes down, I can understand.  No need to have the connection when not to use the iPad Pro.  The problem is that you have to go all the way back in the reconnection of the hotspot settings.  Is there an easier way?  I wish it would just automatically reconnect.
