Y it's expandable text fields?

Well, I am new to Acrobat and LiveCycle.  I have crossed 9 hours of videos and still can't find an answer to what I know, I should be able to do.  Is it possible on a form to create a text field that has the ability to increase his size versus create a scroll bar, then when you print the form it is not cut and missing?      It is a form of 2 pages for a text box has the possibility, it could divide between the 2 pages.

The forum software is running a virus scan on the files downloaded before their release to the public.  Until that analysis is performed the attachment will appear as in queue.  Unfortunately, I don't know how many times the scanner works, but I saw attachments in queue for a day or two, so keep checking back once in a while.  Once the queue label is gone, you can download the file.

  • Expand text fields, only when printing

    All,

    I have a dynamic form that includes several text fields for user input. These fields have a fixed height, however, allow multiple lines beyond the visible area. I don't want these fields to develop when you leave the field, but when the form is printed. The form is set up neatly on 7 pages, and I would that this still 7 when the user is working, however, I would like to expand to account for the extra text to print.

    How can I make sure when I print, expand the fields and the data flow on the next pages?

    Thank you!

    There may be a better way, but when I need to position elements in a past form I use rectangles set no border so that they are invisible and put where I need spaces.

  • Expandable text fields

    Hi fellow users, can anyone help with the more fundamental question - how can I get my text field are developing to allow large amounts of text? My form is "format XML dynamic" active, the subform text field ' flowed, the page subform is 'set', I have "multiple pages" checked and also "expand to fit" checked. I use LC v8.2. Appreciate any help. I have included my form - the most basic of forms ever!

    Concerning

    Barum55

    The problem is that the form has been saved as a static PDF file. If save you it in dynamic PDF and enter a lot of text in the field, you get the appearing on the right scroll bar, but it grows as soon as you exit the field. I suspect that you set it on a dynamic XML form in the Preview menu, properties form that works only to see a preview of the PDF file inside the designer. You will need to save it as a PDF dynamic when the form is ready. Your form that has been saved in dynamic PDF format is attached. (You almost had it)

  • Text that develop with the expandable text field

    I created a form using Livecycle Designer. I have 2 questions;

    1. how to create repeating fields.

    2 it is the text before and after the extensible text field, how the texts after the text growable field 'navigate' the text growable field. (when the user starts to fill the field expand the text after the demon of the text is expected to grow to the right as the text field.)

    3. how to create the text field in double capture / will reflect whatever the user type in a field in another text field without filling actually twice.

    See attached file

    Will be grateful if anyone can help! Thank you thank you =)

    For Q1 and 2 there is something called a field floating allow you to merge the data in a text block and reflow to remove all spaces in the block. This is available only when the data are merged on the form. This isn't an interactive field. Once the data are merged, it is transformed into a block of static text.

    For Q3, this is a case to assign a value to another.

    FieldNameofTargetField.rawValue = OriginalFieldName.rawValue;

    This code must be run on an event related to the original material. In general the exit event is used for this purpose. So when the user leaves the field, the target field will be updated with what was typed in the original field.

  • How can I insert hyperlinks in text fields?

    Hello, I create documents pdf using Livecycle Designer for an organization, and recently I had a request for a document that includes expandable text fields.  The user also wants to put hyperlinks in these text fields.  I did the form and tried to put links in the text fields (using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5), but the form operation stops and I can't click on anything else (even if the cursor changes) or do something else that remove the information I entered and/or close the document.

    Does anyone know how to create a form in Livecycle Designer, which will allow the customer to insert hyperlinks in a text field that expands too?

    Is not possible.

  • Creating form fillable to expand the text field

    Hello

    Currently in research to create text fields that expand when the amount of text exceeds the size of the text field.

    Any ideas?

    Not possible with PDF forms created in Acrobat.

  • Text field expand to show total texts

    I use xi to adobe acrobat. I'm hosting multy lines for a text field so that it is possible to write more words that he has in fact roommate, so that the text scrolls upwards. However, the problem is that it is not possible to see all of the text at a time. Now, my question is: do you know if it is possible, when you click a field with too much text to display at once, then clicking, it shows all of the text at once - so that the fields is bit expanded. And the cause when you click somewhere else in the file, the largest text field disappears again.

    I see pdf created in livecycle designer allows text field to be increased according to the request of the texts. But the field becomes enlarged, it do not go to the previous position.

    You must use Livecycle Designer to do this.

  • Expand the fields of text not cooperating

    I have created a new form that spans over 2 pages and saved as a dynamic PDF. I am trying to allow for text fields to expand as the user beyond the initial size of the field. The field is set to 'extend to worthy. I have several sections of the form all separated by lines of text. I tried to wrap each section in a subform (value "Flowed"), then wrap all subforms to a larger subform (the "Flowed" value).

    The problems I encounter is each article that is wrapped in a subform loses the positioning and space between the fields in all fields and bring them tight to each other. Then when I wrap all subforms in a larger subform (the value "sunk"), my text headers and all other text get rearranged and I can not change the order to reposition with white space.

    Here is a picture of my form in the friendly and tidy format that I want to keep. Then a picture of the way she looks with each section in a subform and all these subforms in a larger subform.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

    If you look at your hierarchy, you will see that this subform, the schema object is equal (or to) the background. Click on, and then drag it in the hierarchy to the top of the subform:

    It should be resolved for a subform from top to bottom Flowed.

  • Text fields to expand to accommodate the text

    Hello

    I would like to create text fields in form that are small at first, but grow to accommodate more text.  I know I can create a text field and I text resize when it is running out of room, but this is not what my client wants.  Also, the shape and the text can flow back on new pages?

    Thank you very much

    This is not possible with PDF forms created in Acrobat, that in those created using LiveCycle Designer.

  • How expand/collapse text fields?

    I'm working on a newsletter in Acrobat format. What I want to do, it's a paragraph & at the end of the paragraph, have a link 'more' that the user can click to enlarge to read the rest of the story. Then at the end of the story, have a 'less' link that collapses the info. Is it still possible in Acrobat? I use Acrobat X.

    Depends on... Make you the text field hidden/visible, but it won't really

    minimization/maximization in the sense that when it is not visible, you will just have

    a large blank area, where is the hidden field.

  • Expand the text field to allow multiple pages

    Hi all

    WARNING: Not a programmer JAVA/type. I usually Google things to death and try to learn from there. Create a form and have followed some other suggestions, but I'm in a dead end to the expansion of a field (text field) to allow users to enter information, and to print the full entry once submitted.

    I changed the form must be sent using the e-mail button to choose the recipients and as doc pdf. I want to keep it this way. I created the form and do not use a template. I just signed up and looking for the button attach doc, created in Livecycle Designer ES in the hope that someone could take a look. Could not find the button attach. If anyone can provide their e-mail address to take a look, it would be great.

    Niall, I've been reading your posts and actually I tried copy and paste in one of your fields (re: subform as a debit, etc.) but so far no luck.

    I selected all the usual variables for the subform/text box:

    Allow multiple lines, allows breaks, will develop to adapt (height).

    Please indicate if someone is available to take a look and I'll send it to you. Thanks in advance for any recommendations/availability.

    Hi Jeff,

    Users return data can still submit a PDF from a dynamic XML form. It is always a PDF, it's just that description indicates that the form will enable dynamic behavior.

    There are other issues to consider. Knowledge that users interact with the form - Acrobat or Reader? Then you'll be reader allowing the form before deploy you? Finally, if you allow the shape, you use Acrobat or LC Reader Extensions ES2 to enforce the rights of the reader?

    Here is a table summarizing the options:

    There is a post here:

    http://www.assuredynamics.com/index.php/2010/11/using-LiveCycle-Forms-in-Acrobat-and-Reade r.

    So in summary:

    • The dynamic XML form is always a PDF file and can be opened in Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
    • The features of this user with reader can use will depend on what software they use and how the shape was active reader.
    • Refer to the question of whether the user needs to save the form and format in which you want to the form returned to (PDF or XML format).

    Hope that helps,

    Niall

  • Expand the text field

    Hey guys you can take a look at my request.

    The text fields are to close on the other, is there a way to spread a little wider text boxes?

    Thanks for all the help guys.

    As I see this example those are elements of single page (resembling a tabular presentation). You can put

  • Shrink the text field

    Hi all

    I have a problem with my textfields in Livecycle. My goal is to have a text field of a certain size that can expand to accommodate more text or reduced to fit the text that does not have full space that offers the text field. I put my height of the text field to display everything and wrote a javascript statement to minimize the size of the text box to fit all text entered. The code is as follows and is in the output of the field event:

    If ((this.resolveNode("$").rawValue! = null & & this.resolveNode("$").rawValue! = "") & & this.resolveNode("$").rawValue! = "Enter text here.") {

    this.resolveNode("$").border.presence = 'hidden ';

    this.resolveNode("$").h = "";

    }

    EC that it is supposed to do, is to minimize the height of the text field when the user leaves the field so that the field corresponds to the amount of text (there is a default value on the field "Enter text here."). Everything works perfectly and the field will develop and adjust the text, however when the form is saved and then re-opened, the text field is reduced to an incredibly small size so that only the first line of the text is visible and it is cut in half.

    I suspect that the problem comes from the fact that the script I've written sets the height of an empty value, but it is only in the case of output, so the size of the field should not change from when the form is saved to when it is open. Does anyone have ideas for how to fix this?

    Replace this.resolveNode("$").h = "' with this.minH =".01in ".

    Also, this.resolveNode("$") is the same as just 'this' (as I know).
