• Problems with brightness adjustment

  Hello!

  I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8 Pro. It's a Sony Vaio S Series, aged only two days.

  My eyes are very sensitive to light, so I kept the brightness on my old laptop less over time, but it won't let me change the brightness settings.

  I tried to change it on the charms of the bar, as well as the settings of the power plan and the Fn keys, but every time that I change it, it immediately self-aggrandizing ' adjusts to full intensity.   The brightness and all the other keys FN keys are controlled by value added and Flash Cards Support utility package. I think that don t work tools much more then I recommend reinstall these two tools of Toshiba. You can download on the official website of Toshiba:

  But remove older versions first before reinstalling the newest one.

  I put t know how help you buddy the point is that the graphics card driver that is available on the page of the Toshiba driver is modified for mobile use and its recommended by Toshiba.
  Usually, you use this driver to make sure that the correct feature for laptop.

  Of course, you can try to use the other graphics card drivers, but in some cases, different version could lead to small different questions: in this case > problem with brightness control.

  However, you can try to install the graphics driver AMD/ATI driver Toshiba UE page but check the driver released for other series of laptop. You might get a more recent version of the driver.

  However, if you want to use the brightness of the screen constantly down then I recommend change the screen brightness option in Vista power settings.

  As far as I know Vista there are 7 levels of display brightness. To be honest, I can't imagine that is the lower, for you, too bright, but all we have own opinion on it. Just for example, for my daily work, I use level 6. I don't like the maximum level.

  So there is not much you can do. Power settings choose your preferred plan (I use BALANCED) and set the brightness of the display. This plan will be loaded whenever you start your laptop and you can work on your laptop by using the lowest level of brightness.

  Here is a thread in the Forum of Dell, I found on the issues of brightness with the Dell Inspiron 1545.  It includes the same procedure described above - but it includes a position that most of these problems is caused by problems with the motherboard.  I don't know if this is the problem, but if it is then, we deal with a hardware problem and not a software problem.

  I just tried this and IT WORKED! I don't know how much luck you'll have, but try the Fn key and pressing the up and down arrows while your computer starts. It worked for me. For my Inspiron 1420, I adjusted the brightness, while he was when the screen went black and the words "Microsoft Corporation" above and the Green loading bar going across the screen. That's what I did and I hope it works for you! :)
