Equium A210: broken screen

Hello

I have an Equium A210 and yesterday when I turned it on the bottom of the screen was broken.
You can see the ink where it broke.
I went back to where I bought it (his only 2mths old) and they won't do anything about it because that's not covered and I rang the Bell and will cost nearly 400.

Is this happen to someone because he has not been abandoned, and nothing fell on her. Help!

Thank you
Shirley

Hello

I have a laptop A210. It s not a satellite, but a series of satellites.
However, the two are very similar, and to my knowledge that the same plastic covers and TFT screen are part of the laptop.

I can close and open the upper cover easily
So I can't believe that an internal screen damage itself without resorting to force or to fix a heavy object on the lid of the laptop.

In any case, agree with Marina and it turns out that the ASP must check the laptop to make sure of what actually happened.

So, check the path shown above and contact the ASP in your country for a manipulation of the Fryer.

Bye and mate good luck

    Hello

I got my Equium for about 6 months and from time to time so that I use the screen goes suddenly blank.
It may be while it is plugged in or during the use of the battery. It doesn't seem to be a special moment happen.

Blue light 'on' poster still and the computer sounds like it's still on, but no matter what happens, the screen does not return to life.
I tried waitng for half an hour, in the case where it is overheated, but then really cooled off, the light on but shows nothing else.

I have to manually turn off the coast, and always restarts immediately, she said there was a problem, etc...
Is this normal? I'm worried about losing files etc as it is not shut down cleanly.

Sorry I'm not very technical so hopefully I'm supposed to someone.

Have you tried with BIOS and update the display driver?
As much as I know these questions are often set with combination of BIOS and driver update.

  • Black screen suddenly on Equium A210-17i

The screen on my Equium A210-17i will sometimes just completely black, although always backlit. This happens usually when the computer is left on during a fairly long period of time (tonight after 3 hours) when using it.

When it happened tonight I just internet browsing. It's happened several times, and the only way to recover whatever it is is to turn off the computer with the power button. My friend who also has the same laptop also has the same problem, and although it occurs about once a week, it's always boring. All solutions?

It s certainly nothing wrong with you material
I read that this problem could be related to Windows Vista bugs too

Then all first of all you need to update the Vista for the last State.
Then check the driver for graphics card for updates and * then you must update the BIOS if a newer version * is available

My computer was working fine, I stopped him, the next time I start up, it shows windows loading screen, then a second a blue screen flashes by, it restarts and repeats, I stopped and began to tap F8 until the advanced boot options appears, safemode ect... None of them work and lead all the blue screen If I select the repair option at the top 'Repair your computer' it begins to load with a background of vista and a cursor and then displays the error "the installed program cannot start. Click OK to turn off the computer. »

in Advanced Startup Options that I try "disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" and the rest of the blue screen to the top, so I can see, it shows an error on usual blue screen, read:

  • Equium A210 won't start

After a recent accident I had rebooted my Equium A210, and now it does not start. The power light turns on and nothing else happens. There is no display on the monitor, not even the start screen opens. I tried to restart on battery and power. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium.

    Hello

There is perhaps a bit of luck to start the laptop again.
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter from the laptop.

Wait about 30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.
Finally try to power the laptop by pressing the power button.

If she won't help your last chance would be the ASP.

The Toshiba certified maintainer would be able to help you

  • Equium A210-1AS: Touchpad problem - the mouse becomes unusable

    Hello

I have problems with the touchpad of my laptop Equium A210-1AS.
After some time of use of the mouse becomes unusable and just starts bouncing around the screen and becomes uncontrollable.

The only solution then is to unplug the laptop and turn the power off, re start the touchpad works again.

I use Windows Vista and downloaded the latest touchpad drivers.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    See you soon
    Widdy1961

    This problem very strange s.
Could you please tell me if this problem occurs after you reinstall the OS from the Toshiba Recovery CD?
I read on several forums of Vista that some Microsoft Vista updates may have a bad influence on the touchpad driver
Therefore, it would be very interesting to know if this problem appears immediately after the use of the recovery CD.

  • Equium A210-171 - how can I re - install Vista

    Hello

I was updating operating systems (Vista 32 bit) Microsoft online when the laptop (Equium A210-171) stop.
It may have reached the limit of overheating and this is the reason that he stop (I guess).

I let him cool computer down and when I tried to boot from the instructions as per

    the computer seems to hang.

When I get to start in safe mode, the computer seems to hang on \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys or another file system.

Action press 0 and then turn on the computer with the recovery CD in the drive is also reflected by a lock to the top of the system leading to a black screen only. By pressing C on startup also has the same effect.

As a test, I put a different Linux Ubuntu CD in the drive to see if I could run another operating system on a hard drive.
This action was successful. But my kids need Windows for games they play.

So, my question is... how to re - install Vista. The factory re - install Setup seems to not work.

    Thank you very much
    Tommy.

    > As a test, I put a Linux Ubuntu CD in the drive to see if I could run another operating system on a different hard drive.
I mean that you have installed a Linux on a different partition and not of HARD drive. Right.
Well, it means that the HDD is OK and the laptop should run with Windows as well.

    > The action of pressing 0 and then turn on the computer with the recovery CD in the drive is also reflected by a lock to the top of the system leading to a black screen only. By pressing C on startup also has the same effect.

All first of all I recommend to start the BIOS and set boot from CD/DVD drive at the beginning.
Then save the changes and restart the device.
While pressing the power button, press F12.
This allows you to get the boot on the screen menu.
Insert the disc of Windows installation (or the Toshiba Recovery disk) and choose ODD (CD/DVD drive)
Then laptop should begin to boot from the CD/DVD drive.

Notes; If you use the Windows CD (not recovery disk) then you need to change an option in the BIOS.
Select compatible SATA mode and save the changes.

  • Replace a Macbook with a notice of need broken screen

My hard drive went out on my early 2011 Macbook Pro with a broken screen. The broken screen this weekend, I've not had the chance to put in place for repair. Before the hard drive went out I used it Clamshack mode I know that it does not in recovery mode, but how bad of an idea do you think it would be to replace the hard drive and install Mac OS X blindly? Or do you think I should buy a tablet in Windows of 100 dollar budget to use temporary while that I set up for the fixed screen?

I can't speak for your calendar or your budget, but... I asked when my MBP 2011 will no longer support the Genius Bar (products Apple will "legacy / obsolete ' possibly) the deadline is the end of this year early next year.   Don't wait too long to save for repair in my opinion.

  • Broken screen, iPhone 5 c Unresponsive and doesn't turn on

    Hello guys,.

About a month back I dropped my iPhone 5 c from far away, I would say a metre or more. I couldn't get it fixed so I decided to let the battery drains down and leaving a safe place. After two weeks I went to turn on my iPhone and nothing don't to happen so I decided to try to load. Still nothing, I tried pressing the lock button and home for 15 seconds and connection to the computer and still nothing happens.

I would appreciate an answer on what to do.

    Thank you

Tare in there and see if you can get one off mandate changes for her.  Completely drain a lithium-polymer battery will usually ruin it - they do not real discharge of 100% recover and probably will never charge again.  And with your broken screen you cannot use the device anyway, and you don't know if there are other internal collateral damage.  I would say to cut your loses and get a new phone at this point.

  • Equium A210-17I do not start - how to access password protected HDD?

My Equium A210-17I (model: PSAFJE) died recently and I'm trying to recover the contents of the hard drive.

I hope that I can just put the drive into another laptop and start (either by using the player itself or a Live CD). Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.

Anyone have any ideas? The Equium stores a version coded the password or something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What I've tried so far:

1 put the drive in Toshiba Satellite C655. Request password and after 3 wrong attempts to stop.

    2. put the disc into the Compaq 610. Request of password and after 2 attempts to let me Live CD boot. However, once started, the drive is not visible at all (disabled by BIOS).

    3. with all the variations of portable password input - completed by zeros, dashes, spaces, etc.. Uppercase, backward, etc..

In what concerns the attempts to revive the satellite (so I can remove the hard drive password):

When it is plugged in, power and load front lights.
When lit, the logo turns on, the fan turns and can also hear the hard drive.
Then there's just in this State.
No display, no beeps, no lights on the keyboard.

Tried to start after removing the hard drive and CD-ROM drive. Also tried without the installed memory. All the same result.

    Thanks for your help.

    > Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.

It seems that the HARD drive has been guaranteed by a HARD drive password.
Mate sorry but this password cannot be deleted if you n t know the password.

Usually to remove the HARD drive password, you must put the HARD drive in the Toshiba laptop, have access the BIOS and there is an option called HARD drive password which allows you to remove the HARD drive KNOWN password.
