  from this site, I checked the memory compatible types.

  As this link says "1024 MB (1 GB) memory PC2700 DDR SODIMM (333 MHz), 1 GB PC2 - 4300 DDR2 Memory, 1 GB memory DDR2 PC2-4300" are the compatible memory. (But in the manual of the laptop that is present in the C:\TOOLSCD\manuals, the compatible option only is 1024 MB (1 GB) PC2700 DDR SODIMM (333 MHz) memory).

  I checked a few memories of laptop DDR2 by traders the but they actually wouldn't fit in the memory locations with ease. If I force it to adapt, it can insert into the slot. But there is a chance to have a broken and useless memory. Memory DDR work with 5 volt DDR2 memory work with 2.5 to 4 Volts AFAIK. Of DDR and DDR2 memory slots are also a bit different from each other. Now I'm confused.

  Official web pages of Toshiba says and what I found in the laptop manual are contradictory to each other. Who is telling the truth?

  I can understand that you are confused, but it is not so complicated. I checked a few pages and here is the result:

  Tecra A4 comes in two different models.
  1 Tecra A4 - PTA40E-xxx (your model). Compatible memory module is 1024Mo PC2700 (PA3313U-2M1G)
  2 Tecra A4 - (PTA42E-xxx). Compatible memory module is DDR2 400/533 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G)

  As you can see that the two hardware platforms are completely different. Copy the PA3313U-2M1G module. It is compatible with your Tecra.

  I put t know exactly what you want to do, but I assume that you need this card for an upgrade.
  New bad guy! Laptop graphics cards are often fixed on the motherboard and cannot be deleted!
  In addition, you must know that the mobile graphics cards are simply different and you can't compare these chips with adapters for desktop PCs.

  I tried to recover my Equium A60 with the recovery DVD and it does not boot to windows. I tried to install a number of different versions of windows and the error messages lead me to the conclusion that the module memory is faulty. The system came with 256 MB of memory and it is hard because it is part of the motherboard. My question is if I buy a memory module and install it in the expansion slot will be it be prevented from working by the faulty memory?

  Hey Kevin,

  There is unfortunately no way to isolate the faulty RAM on your motherboard. Even if you install a second module of RAM the system always tries to use the built in so defective module.

  You will need to take you laptop to an ASP for the defective replace module.

• Issue of material change: new y710s with numpads?

  Keep in mind that I am well aware hardware mods as this will probably void the guarantee, but this issue is essential to know if I get a y710 or not.

  Here goes:
  I'm really not a fan of the gamezone pad, as a numeric keypad (as was on the former y710s) is infinitely more useful for me, and I'm not left-handed so it does not help the game a lot. But that's just the reason of my question.

  Probably not... If you buy the Y710 with gamezone, then you're stuck with the gamezone because of the way the motherboard is designed for the Y710s with the gamezone as boost cpu and mini LCD, then the entire upper bezel must be replaced also... more trouble than its worth... the bios most likely is set up with the gamezone in mind too!

The operating system supports 64 GB of memory and material support it 16 GB of memory, so everything is compatible. Is there something that should be set to 8 GB term well?

I installed memory several times, I just never came across this problem before. all the other pc I installed all thje memory memory has been shown. with this pc I have this problem before. the pc is a Compaq Presario SR2150N

  If you had probably two problems

  Permissions, the other is the hardware problem causing slow import and the card cannot be read by your operating system.

  • WD 2 TB sata 600 (black edition).
  • Windows 7 prof 64 bit.
  • Adobe Premiere Elements 10 + Photoshop Elements 10

  On the 128 GB SSD, I installed Windows 7, office 2010, Adobe software, and the SSD is used to swap/temp-drive for Adobe elements and Windows 7.

  The second WD SATA 600 black 2 TB drive is used for all my equipment photo and video.

  When searching on the internet and on this forum, I understand that until the first elements Adobe 9 unused RAM memory beyond 3 GB because of the 32-bit adobe core of the series of elements.

  Can you and first Elements 10 (or higher) will use memory beyond 3 GB?

  When I install 32 (4 x 8 GB) GB of DRAM memory, the recommended windows pagefile will be around (2 x 32 =) 64 GB. With windows 7 and some software installed there are not a lot of space on the SSD to the first elements temp adobe reader. I probably set the temp on the WD 2 to 600 sata drive because there is more free space left.

  I don't know if it makes sense to upgrade my memory.

  2 it is sensible to upgrade my memory up to 16 GB (4 x 4 GB)?

  You have a lot more power to edit AVCHD and other high-def video.

  You certainly won't hurt anything by adding more RAM - but you won't see better performance with first Elements 10 from 8-16 GB of RAM.
