Yellow dots and two lines on the screen

My computer shows the points of color on my screen which vary according to the background color and are mostly yellow. There are also lines on the screen that disrupt the display. The problem is not with the monitor, and I do not think his material. I had this problem before, which then developed into my computer crashes when starting each time, and someone managed to fix it for me when he reinstalled windows. It worked very well, but the other day I started a demo to the steam and the messed up display as soon as it is loaded. I tried to reinstall windows to see if it works, but the problem persists.

My system is running a processor intel E6750, a Radeon HD 2900 XT 4 GB of RAM and Windows Vista 64-bit

Sorry, for obvious reasons, I'm not here to sell you a computer.  Most of the all-in-one computer today have the specifications you are looking for, except perhaps the webcam integrated according to the model.  You can see the HP, Amazon or Tiger Direct store as examples.

If you are looking to buy the same more or less the same model as you have now, they are abandoned or not available unless used or refurbished which I would not recommend it.

Before doing something drastic, discover the repair costs to the one you have now.

Check the video cable to the monitor and the computer side, the lines of deformation may indicate when its loose or if you have a bad cable. A bad cable is unlikely, but one cannot rule out completely without trials.

If you have another monitor or know someone who you can borrow a display test, it would be the fastest and the most effective way to be sure where the problem is.

If lines change or "move" when you move the mouse or a window autour, this indicates a bad connection or bad cable as indicated above or a problem with the video card. Overclocking can cause this kind of things happen as well so if you have overclocked your hardware, return it back to the factory settings and the problem may disappear.

If the lines are always the same and do not change when you move the mouse or a window autour, the monitor is probably the problem.

Figure 8 and 9 on the link below both show what it looks like when the monitor is the problem in the above example: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph05236&lc=en&cc=ie&dlc=en

  • Satellite P300 - vertical red and white lines on the screen

    Hello

Red and small white vertical lines ' pixels may 2 each) are appearing on almost all of my screen. Sometimes, if the background is grey or white (for example a box on a web page), the display is normal on this particular area and the lines are everywhere around. This is the second time that this has happened. The last time, it disappeared after a few days. My computer is a Satellite P300.

    What can I do?

    Thanks for your help.

    I understand this correctly?
This problem appears on all screens: internal and 2 display attached external monitor?

Well, in my opinion, this means that the graphics card may be affected. :(

When you do a Reset (reboot) on the iPod

Learn how to reset your iPod - Apple Support  (see iPod with a click wheel)

do you see this line on the screen when the Apple logo?  If you do, it is probably a hardware problem.  If the line is not there at the start, but returns after the iPod starts, you can do a restore of the iPod using iTunes.  This d erases the IPO, reinstall its software and sets it to the default settings.

If the problem persists after the restore, the cause is likely to be hardware problem.

I try to get back, but unfortunately came with the laptop recovery CD doesn't seem to work...

Whenever I finished to recover I have "windows loading files" and once this is done, it shows me the so-called "blue screen of death"...

    Hello

I m afraid. I have bad news for you ;(
I think you ve you have a problem with the hardware in my eyes, there might be something wrong with the GPU chip.
The white lines on the screen could be related to a faulty graphics card and get the BSOD error due to a hardware malfunction or software serious questions

I m sure that the recovery CD does not contain software problems and therefore only the fault of hardware could be the reason for the lines on the screen and the BSOD.

In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance if all goes well you guarantee is valid.

    Good luck

  • Qosmio G10 has vertical lines on the screen

I have a G10 which I use for the last 15 months since I bought it.
However, there are now 4 vertical lines on the screen, 2 Purple (magenta?), 1 yellow and 1 cyan. Other than these lines there are no other problems, it never fell down or something like that.

The lines are still there, they do not change in any way and are always in the same place. They appear on the screen at first power up, before the Qosmio logo lights up.

They have not all appear at the same time, they all appeared individually in the past two months. I've seen the last of them disappear briefly, then stay on.

I guess that my screen is dying slowly, I guess to be an expensive item.

Any advice thrown my way would be greatly appreciated!

I took a picture of the screen you will find at:

    Hello

I suggest you connect an external display to check if it's a graphics card or a display problem. If cela pipes appears also on the external screen then it could also be a problem with the graphics card.
If these lines do not appear on the external display while the display of the laptop has a malfunction.
However, this does not change your situation. I recommend you contact the Toshiba ASP to solve this problem.

  • Satellite Pro A210 - repeat vertical lines on the screen

I hope someone can help me.

I am a teacher and was bought by my school a Toshiba Satellite Pro A210 for me to do my school work and connect to a SMART board to teach with. Throughout its probably one of the best laptops I got through school. I got it two months.

There is only one problem with it. Its developed a rather weird problem. Occasionally, the screen suddenly freezes, and the display will be replaced by thin, alternating vertical black and white lines. The only way to get rid of them is to turn off the laptop and restart it (particularly annoying when it happened in the middle of a lesson when I've been respected by an OFSTEd Inspector!)

Technician computer school has no idea what is the cause. I was wondering if someone here might have some advice.

    Thanks in advance.

I ve the same laptop but I didn t receive similar lines on the screen.
What you could do is update the BIOS and the driver (if possible) display.

If the same problem happens again, you must connect an external monitor to the laptop.

Then check if the same lines appears on the external display. If so, then a problem of graphics card might be possible!

  • I asked before but everyone has discovered what causes vertical lines on the screen?

I have vertical lines on my screen about 6 or 7 and his worst do. They go to various shades of pink, green and yellow. I asked if anyone knew the answer later when there was only 1, and even if other people had this problem no one knew the answer. Has anyone discovered yet because its getting so irritating, I think I need a new machine. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Rupture of the membranes that make up the screen is what causes the problem.

Rupture may be caused by indifferent manufacturing, overzealous pressure while cleaning and old age.

Sometimes the graphics card can go wrong, but they will generally 'very bad', not just some annoying lines on the screen.

In the end, you will have t get the screen replaced... :-)

  • Satellite M70-339 vertical lines on the screen

    Hello...

I have a Satellite M70-339, which will show only the vertical lines on the screen.
I connected an external monitor and booted in safe mode.
    I uninstalled the display drivers.
I started to monitor and reinstalled the display drivers.
The computer will now boot up screen.

I put the display to indicate to both monitor and screen.

    On the monitor, all right.
On the screen, I get vertical lines color, similar to a wallpaper (wallpaper is not pretty).

Did anyone has got any ideas what could be the problem, or how to diagnose the problem
    Any help would be appreciated.

    John C

If everything is OK on the external monitor that is the best evidence that this problem is related to the internal LCD. Display must be exchanged.

  • Qosmio G15: Green vertical lines on the screen

All started an ordinary day, when I was playing music on my iTunes.
All of a sudden my screen went black and the music stopped, but my power button is always blue. Since then, whenever I try to start it, it goes on the Qosmio screen and Windows XP screen and plays the startup sound, but there all those green vertical lines on the screen. And then it goes black and tsays in this way.

I was able to use Windows VGA (whatever that means) with lines all over the screen, but I am not able to start normally. Does anyone have any suggestions or have had the same problem? Please help me!

  • Re: Equium M50-216 - lines across the screen

Hi my Equium M50-216 has lines across the screen and low who go up and down the screen.
There is no picture it s just white.

If I plug it into an external monitor I get a fine display on the monitor is so the screen is defective or something else?
I think that the inverter is ok because it of bright and not dull.

    See you soon

    I agree with Luke.

If the image on the external monitor is ok then the graphics card should be ok.
If an FL inverter would be defective then everything would be visible, but just a little more dark and as behind a fog

In your case, it looks like a display problem

I think you should ask a technician for replacement laptop

  • Satellite L830 - horizontal line across the screen

All new Satellite L830 has a horizontal line across the screen.

What can be the cause and how can be fixed?

If the laptop is brand new it back as soon as possible and ask for replacement.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but it may be related to faulty display, especially if you can see from the first moments when the laptop is turned on.

Don't try anything. Request a new one. If you can not new, contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They need to exchange the defective part.

  • Satellite Pro M10 - horizontal lines on the screen in different areas

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help.
My Satellite Pro M10 seems to suffer a display problem where I have horizontal lines on the screen in different areas.
It would be well for 10 minutes and when the laptop seems to warm up this problem begins, then shortly after
The laptop would crash and enter in a resolution of 800 x 600 16 colors or sometimes freeze.

Graphic drivers have been resettled, and even a new installation of Windows XP from the recovery CD does not help.
A reboot doesn't solve what the same thing happens again and after one minute of use, so I thought it might be a video or cooling problem.
I changed the video card I had a spare part of my last motherboard hoping this would solve the problems, but the problem persists.
Perhaps a cooling problem? Or problems of motherboard?
The motherboard has been replaced twice, hoping that this isn't another mobo problem.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure but to me it looks a bit like an overheating problem
Maybe the graphics card may not be properly cooled after a certain period of time and that's why these strange horizontal lines appear on the screen.

I wonder how you were able to replace the graphics chip on the motherboard?  :|
If I m not wrong not the chip is fixed and the replacement is very easy and difficult

It of always difficult to say what's maybe wrong without running several diagnostic tests in most cases this problem may be related to the defective chip or motherboard and so the following should be checked

Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

    Best regards from my friend
