Yellow flash - Satellite Pro 6070 DC power led

I have a Toshiba laptop that I got from a friend, when I push the power button that flashes a green light as if it's going on, but then the DC power led starts flashing yellow. I have looked this up, but wanted to make sure it was good...

I thought he had 3 batteries on the cell phone the main bios one and another one. I looked at other newspapers on here and tried to run right next to the power, but the same thing happens.

How would he fixed or what could be the problem?

Hello

It dose not sound very optimistic the domain controller IN the witness lights usually green when DC is supplied from the AC adapter.
But if the output voltage adapters is abnormal or if power outages, this indicator flashes orange.

Either there is something wrong with electronic power supply on the motherboard or adapter AC is defective.
I think it s the first possibility and in this case I n t think you will be able to fix it yourself.
I'm afraid the technician advice and help is needed: (m

    Hi Tommy

I think electronic power on your laptop is completely confused. I recommend you contact the customer Service of your country partner. It is unclear to me that you can do something like the end user.

Only thing you can do is to remove the battery and use the laptop with AC power and be happy that it works.

  • Satellite Pro A120 - no power supply the AC adapter

    Hello

I recently had some problems with powering the my Satellite PRO A120. Initially I was not getting any power to the laptop of my adapter. I bought a new card on ebay that seems to have solved the problem as my laptop turned on once more, even if I could use it only for a few minutes on the stand alone mode as it would drain completely after a few minutes. After a few weeks, the adapter has stopped working. This led me to believe that my battery might be the problem that caused the adapter switch defective.

I then bought a battery of reco and tried to see how long he would stay on without the adapter - even once the laptop only lasted a few minutes before I die

I can only use my laptop with a power adapter borrowed right now. The battery is the cause or is there an underlying problem with memory or the motherboard?

It will be expensive to fix or should I try to buy a battery and the original power cord and see if it works

Your opinions and comments would be greatly appreciated.

    > After a few weeks, the adapter has stopped working. This led me to believe that my battery might be the problem that caused the adapter switch defective.

It is a nonsense. The battery does not affect the power adapter!
The battery loses own performance during use of the laptop and sooner or later, the battery will discharge.
This is nothing unusual happens to all batteries

In your case, it could be a defective battery and AC adapter malfunction
It is very rare that the two parties would begin to malfunction at the same time, but it possible s

However, in my view the laptop must be tested using the new battery and AC adapter.

  • Behavior of cooling after only the BIOS Flash - Satellite Pro A300

    Hello everyone,

I have two laptop computers, Satellite Pro A300 Satellite A300. Both have the same configuration, C2D E8300 2 GB, ATI 3650 512 MB and so on...

Today I flashed BIOS to the latest version (from V3.90 to V4.20) on both of them. Version 3.90 cooling was OK, fan worked only when it was necessary. But now after that flashing the BIOS fan runs constantly, he does not stop.

What I did in Vista under Toshiba Power Saver Power Options, I changed the cooling method of maximum Performance to optimised battery, reverse cooling operation, but coverage (keyboard area) has become a bit warmer.

My question is, what is the problem with cooling in the new version (v4.20)? And how to fix this?
Yet once again, the problem did not exist before flashing the BIOS and the problem is on both computers.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Best regards
    Osman

    > What I did in Vista under Toshiba Power Saver Power Options, I changed the cooling method of maximum Performance to optimised battery, reverse cooling operation, but coverage (keyboard area) has become a bit warmer.

I doubt that there could be something wrong, I want to say that you said that after changing the method in cooling Toshiba Power Saver, the fans don't run all the time
Usually the cooling modules are controlled by energy savings and the BIOS contains only the table fan.

Keyboard of my laptop or on the left side of the laptop becomes too hot because on this side, you find the cooling modules that blow hot air

    Nothing so unusual...

  • Satellite Pro A300 PSAJ5C - power cable is broken

    Hello

    Do you mean the adapter?

I advise to use original Toshiba adapter because evil or not compatible adapter can damage the motherboard or would have an impact on the functionality of the laptop.

Check the part number of your old sector and google for this adapter usually some online dealers should provide such part otherwise you can get in touch with a Toshiba ASP in your country to get compatible part.

The specifications are: DC 19V 6.32 A (part PA3290E-3AC3 number)

  • Satellite Pro M70 usually power up when the AC

    Hello

I bought my dad a Satellite Pro M70 for his birthday and it was used for about 3 months. All of a sudden without any reason that it not power up if it is not connected to the AC. The battery registers itself as 100% charged.

When on AC, everything is fine no problem.

But when it is not plugged into the AC, it lights. When put under tension however you can unplug the AC and it will all work very well again.

    Any ideas?

Should I try a BIOS update? or does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello

This problem appears at the beginning?
Sounds a bit like electroninc power supply malfunction and in this case, you should always ask the service provider to Toshiba for assistance.
Don t worry, seems, the guarantee is valid and each procedure must be done for free.

But I m interesting if this will help you:
Please, try to disable powerplay in the properties of the graphics card and do not set the CPU at low speed in Toshiba Power Saver mode fixed.
    Check this option.

  • Satellite Pro C660-16F: power adapter that is compatible

    Hi all

I recently lost the charger of my Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-16F.

    It provides the output DC 19V - 3, 42A

My father also has a Toshiba Satellite, model A300 1RF

    Supplies of its DC 19V - 4, 74A Chargers

I don't know if I can use the charger of my father for my computer, like I don't know
If it is just the current or excessive current it can cause damage.

Can someone give me the answer to that?, thank you very much in advance!

    Hello

You can use another adapter 19V.
The value of the Volt is very important. You can ONLY use the power adapter that supports the 19V
The ampere is too important, but it may be a little different.

Your original adapter supports 3.42 Ampère and other 4.74. It's a little higher but not really relevant.

  • Satellite A65-S065 - button Power LED is blue & amber at the same time

1st off I have a S065 A65 and worked well after a replacement motherboard, my fault, he had to be replaced.

In any case, I have the power button LED is blue & amber LED light up at the same time. Anyone has any idea as to what it means, or maybe I'm going into something, I don't know what it is and it should be reset at the back. Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Ben

    Hello

I checked the manual of the Satellite A65 and there I can find information that the Power LED blinks orange indicating the machine is in standby mode. So for me it sounds like that your laptop is in sleep mode.

What happens if you click Start > stop and choose the closing down in the menu drop-down? Normally, the power LED button must be turned off and also the laptop is in sleep mode.

  • Satellite Pro U400 starts - power problem?

    Hey,.

my liquid U400 down without any reason and doesn't start anymore.
My first idea was damage from CPU, but even if the laptop is taken to power the power led does not illuminate.

    (1) make U400 notebook work normally when the battery is removed, but pluged in power? Because if not maybe only the battery is broken.
    (2) any other ideas? :)

Guarantee is more than 1 months :(

Answer to your question is YES. You can remove the battery and use your laptop with AC power only. In most PC stores showing the rooms are placed laptop without battery. Probably the batteries have been stolen in the past.
Anyway, they can run with AC power only.

When you connect the laptop to the power plug and the power light is not on I assume that there is a problem of electronic power supply.
Contact the nearest authorized maintainer and ask for help.

  • Satellite Pro A40 HDD power level and general clean.

    Hello
I hope that someone can help you.
I have a friend who knows very little computers and received a Satellite Pro A40. She asked me to clean it and reinstall XP and all the relevant software for access to the internet and Microsoft Office.
During the process to do this, I noticed that the hard drive is clicking, which with a tower PC experience means his failing.
I would like to replace and modernize, but I cannot find what type of drive it is. Is it IDE or SATA interface. I suspect the IDE due to age.
Also can I buy a 2.5 IDE/SATA generic "hard drive, like Seagate or Maxtor? I would like to put a 80 GB, but not too sure if the laptop can handle, or if it has a Toshiba-specific connection.

And finally, I tried to get fans to give them a good clean as their obstructed upward, I can't apparently everything else but the fans. The only way I see now to do is to take the mobo off, something that I prefer not to do so.

I'll probably be eBay or similar sourcing due to the age of the laptop.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

You can upgrade HARD disk 80 GB HARD drive. Autour Googling, I found info on compatible hard disks of 80 GB. You can use the tracking models:

    TOSHIBA HDD2188B HARD DRIVE
    IBM G8BC0000Z810
    HITACHI G8BC00017810
    HITACHI G8BC00014810

Use these numbers and you will find info on hard drives.
AFAIK all older models of laptops have hard disks IDE and the same should be used on the Satellite Pro A40.

What about 'clean '? You are right.
If you want to do that well the laptop must be disassembled, but this must be done after disassembly procedure in maintenance manuals.

The problem is that maintenance manuals is not a public document. So please be careful what you do with it.

  • Satellite Pro A120 - broken power adapter

My adapter is broken and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where there is a list of compatible adapter model numbers that work with this laptop.

Can you please tell me why you need the list? The adapter can be replaced by the same. According to the specifications of the laptop you need adapter with * PA3092U-1ACA * part number.

Just one thing, the Satellite Pro A120 is almost identical with Tecra A8. Tecra A8 comes with the AC adapter / identical CC.

  • Satellite Pro A120: AC power-power LED blinks orange

    Hello

could someone tell why the power supply light is orange flashing?

In this case my laptop don't turn on.
Its has turned on the strange, 1 or 2 times only that when the display shows the deskstop it turns off automatically.

    > could someone tell why the power supply light is orange flashing?
The LED flashes as an error and the fault on the motherboard has been detected!

The LED gives an error which can be read by Toshiba ASP. technicians

This is why I would recommend contacting guys for control of the laptop!

    Good luck

    Hello!

I think that you have not installed the drivers for the laptop.
Search on the Toshiba site, you will find all necessary drivers:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

If you install the laptop with the Toshiba recovery disc you must not download and install each driver. This disc contains factory preinstalled drivers with tools and it is easier and saves more time than the drive Microsoft.

  • Satellite Pro P100-327: Power Saver utility

I have a Toshiba Tecra S1 and Toshiba Satellite M40X and two of them had a utility called 'Save energy' that I found very useful. Windows has its own power plant, but it cannot control things like the brightness of the screen and separates not plugged in battery modes modes as well.

However, the download page here does not list Power Saver for the P100 series and it was not bundled with it, is it not possible to get the energy savings for my new laptop? It would be really nice to be able to use it here. In addition, a gain of power for a different Toshiba laptop would be compatible? If yes which?

    Thank you

    Hello

The Toshiba Power Saver is installed on the model more Toshiba laptop. On some models the Toshiba Power Saver is not included. Therefore, the Windows power management manage energy consumption.

Obviously the Satellite P100 units with PSPA0E, PSPA3E and PSPA6E description are not delivered with the Toshiba Power Saver utility. Usually it is not recommended to use tools designed for other models of laptops.

Sorry, but I think you have to live with it.

  • Satellite Pro A60 USB power failure?

I can only use USB 2 ports / 3. Separately all 3 USB ports work fine (features too) but I can not use the 2 on the face back at the same time.
I use a USB and a USB mouse. I have TO use the USB port on the right side, otherwise it won't work.
With an external USB HUB, everything works fine.

Drivers have been installed again. Disabled for testing USB energy saving.

All ideas, looks like a hardware problem (power) for me.
Are there more options that I should / can test?
