Yesterday my Firefox browser changed - default page was that Mozilla?

The homepage of my Firefox browser has now of a newspaper of Gone8.com + some low ad - wasn't there the day before yesterday - Mozilla has change cela or has some 3rd added something? IF it's a third party how can I get rid of him? I tried to reset the default page, but nothing has changed.

Hi dordeknet, this page doesn't appear at startup, or whenever you open a new window (for example, Ctrl + n)?

  • Only at startup: check the program icon allows you to see if a new URL has been injected in the path target Firefox start. Right click > properties > Shortcut tab.
  • Every time: If Firefox is not to honor your layout home page in the Options dialog box when you open a new window or click the Home button, make sure that you have disabled all Extensions of the addons page section (Ctrl + Shift + a > click Extensions in the left column).

Hi jirothankyou, that sounds like an add-on, installed itself without your consent. You can try to remove the Add-ons that might be problematic since the Add-ons Manager. The process is explained here. If this does not work, or that you have never installed add-ons, or you want to have a quick fix: just to reset Firefox. This will remove all the Add-ons and put Firefox by default, but it will keep your history, bookmarks, passwords etc. Here is a description of how to do it: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.

Let me know please if this helped.

  • Cannot change default Page Size

HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more

    Windows XP

All the installation instructions were followed, and the printer works well.

However, whenever I try to print a document, the Page size in the default printing preferences window is always letter, and I change manually in A4 before continuing.

How can I set the default Page size for this printer A4 (instead of letter)?

    Hello

In order to define the document by default to A4, you should try the following settings.

    1. go to printer and Faxes folder
    2. right click on the printer and select Properties
    3. then click the Preferences tab.
    4. go in the paper/quality tab
    5. Select the paper tray and paper and type format you want.
    6. click apply then OK to save the settings.

  • change default page to "current page" print range of 'all '.

I use Vista SP2 and Office Pro 2007.  I don't want the default print page go to eb "all" pages because I am usually needing to print the current page.  When I have a lot to do, I'm frustrated by always having to choose "current page" and want to know how to do this by default instead of the current default of "all the" pages to print.

    BKucharczuk,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

The quick answer is no, can't do it.  This behavior is controlled by the printer driver and software, no Windows or Office.  I've never seen a manager of the printer that allows you to change the number of default pages for anything other than 'all '.  That said, you can visit the web site of the manufacturer of your printer and are looking for their knowledge base or ask this question on their forum, and you might find someone who has found a way to do.

    Thank you

  • How can I change the page so that my Firefox restarts?

This isn't a question on the Firefox start page - when I start my Firefox, all right, he goes to the page I want.

However, because I have installed as an add-on Leechblock (it blocks all the distractions), I have to restart Firefox on a regular basis (every time I want to enable or disable Leechblock). Whenever I restart Firefox, it goes to this guardian web page which shows a boring video. How can I change this?

Hey cor - el, thank you for your detailed answer!

I solved it another way. I changed the setting of the story of Firefox to "never remember history" and the problem was solved. I don't know if simply delete all history would solve the problem the same way, but for now everything seems good.

  • How to change default page scale paint when you print a file

I use paint all the time, but it drives me crazy that printing by default (through the Page Setup) option is at the 100% level, which almost always means that my file is centered on two or more pages. I try to remember to always go and reset it to fit to 1 page, but if I forgot, my file will be printed on multiple sheets, wasting all that paper and ink, and it drives me crazy! Is there a way to change the default so it is still evolving to fit on 1 page?

    Hi RAllan,

Your photo may be too big to fit on a single page.

I suggest you to check the size of the canvas in inches. Go to the Menu bar and select the Image, and select the attributes.

For a great picture. Follow the steps to fit the image to the frame.

    a. Select the image in the photo folder in Windows Explorer.

    b. select print in the toolbar.

    c. choose: How do you want to print your photo?

    d. check: [photo] made the block option.

    e. click on: [print].

  • Open in browser changes 2 pages

There are several reference pages, but they all have the same law.

    At the bottom, click "compare."

A pop-up will up - which is supposed to happen
But then the main screen also shows the comparative table

I can't find additional code errors.

    Any suggestions?

    You have-

    onclick = "MM_openBrWindow ('compare.html', 'compare', 'width = 800, height = 500'); return
    false "> COMPARE"

There is a transport back before the 'false '. Please make sure that
line of code is on ONE LINE (in code view, it should all be in one
(No line). 'return false' should only be separated by a space.

  • Whenever I open FireFox browser, I get a message that says, "you are not on the latest version of FireFox." and says click here to upgrade now?

Actually, it says it's 'you are not on the latest version of Firefox. Update today to get the best of the Web! ", but I use the latest version of Firefox, FireFox 9.0, so there is nothing to be upgraded to! So, why my browser seems determined to force an upgrade on me I already have?

Google is no longer seems to keep this page and assumed that you are using an older version of Firefox, if you visit again you and this site warns that you are using an older version of Firefox and invites you to update.

You can ignore this message if you are running the latest version of Firefox, as shown in the window "help > About" (Firefox is updated).

You can use a different page than the homepage as subject: House or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle).

The article says to reset the following, which you included as having:

    • General.UserAgent.extra.microsoftdotnet (first element bulleted under 1.)
    • General.UserAgent.override (comment: it is very probably that you the origin of the problem)

NOTE: restart Firefox after resetting these elements.

Those are both shown as "1. If they exist, you may also need to reset: "following step 3. (1. should be a 4.; it is an error in the formatting of the article.)

  • Default Page format

    Greetings,

I'm pathetically naïve with respect to Dreamweaver, only since recently started working with her. in any serious. What is the default page size that I want to start by when you create a new page? I guess only a maximum of 800 x < height >, but I'm not sure that I don't know if there is a default screen size (for example, 800 x 600) that we need to get in shape for. I have a few books on the subject then they will be enough reading to do.

I also noticed that when you use rules to define an initial page (for example) 740 x 'Y', there is a significant amount of empty space on the right side in the Layout and when the file is saved and displayed in a browser. Why is this? I'm just throwing that out there that I am sure that the answer is beyond the scope of a Forum and probably lies in one of the books.

    Thank you!

I suggest an analysis of comprehensive anti-malware running on your system. Download http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Malwarebytes and a scan of your system. You can run a scan in safe mode.

I suspect that you have ad-ware on your computer which forces Firefox to change its home page every time it starts.

    Running an anti-malware analysis helped?
