Yosemite 10.10.5 sleep bug?

I got a reproducible bug pop up for several weeks I saw a few months ago.

If my Mac Pro mid-2012 falls asleep on his own under energy-saving, or I put on standby for a period of extranded, it will go to the black. But when I try to wake him up to the top... the screen is all 'hash', nothing and the keyboard don't wake him and the computer does not respond to uo wake orders.

I have to physically press the power button until it turns off completely and then restart it.

It starts with the warning, it has not been closed correctly and takes some time to restart.

What happens, why it becomes inadmissible and why the screen is filled with "static/hash" and no picture?

If I put it to sleep and wake up after a few minutes, it seems fine.

Maybe it's a bug with sleep and the hard disk stops after a few minutes of inactivity?

But under power settings I have checked "never" for the computer sleep and display sleep, but have power saving ' also to sleep as much as possible to put"checked.

Ideas, suggestions?

If you have a model 15 "then see this: 2011 MacBook Pro Extension program repair the graphics issues.

If your model does not have the requirements of the above, then you can consider that there is a software problem. The best way to test this is to install a new copy of Mac OS X on a different disk. Start and use this copy for a short period of time stable if it has problems with sleep/wake. If it is not then you have a problem with your third-party software. You can install one at the time and test each one before installing another.

  • Bug Mail Yosemite El Cap in Sierra

    Mail to Yosemite was a really annoying bug in Mail. If you had an e-mail selected in the message list and changed the sort order, the list changed the view at the top of the sort, instead of sorting 'around' the selected message. You need to scroll the list of messages to find your selected message.

    This made it very difficult to find "not send this person an email about this a month ago or something? ' without having to resort to the search bar.

    It was also in opposition to the way E-mail worked * never * (I use OS X since the first beta) and is completely out of the norm for how all customer email works. If you have a selected message this message should stay in the list see no matter how you sort.

    Fortunately, they have fixed this in El Capitan.

    Its baaaaaack. :-(

  • Satellite on L9W Mini - B - couldn't pass it until the battery is completely discharged

    Hello

    I have the following problem with my Satellite click Mini L9W - B - happened already twice.

    I suspect that this may be connected to a Windows 8.1 setting. It may also be that it is BIOS associates.

    PROBLEM: if I leave the phone in standby mode (by simply close the lid), then if I do not use it for a while (> 10 hours) and then after that I could not turn on laptop - it simply does not meet all the keys including the power on button. It does not matter that I connect the power or unplug it, I still can't turn on the laptop, as it doesn't matter I have try with or without connected keyboard. BUT: the battery on the back on the screen is hot, so of course the laptop is not off completely and something (i.e. windows sleep mode or bios or something else) keeps me to turn it on.

    The solution I have at the moment is to leave the laptop for a very long period offline (to drain the battery completely - it will be not hot not more!) and then connect the power and then it will be able to turn it on. Otherwise, open the cover of the screen and manually disconnect the battery and connecting it then still also work. After that, the laptop can be marketed and works very well.

    Of course, it is not very good because to wait very long (several days!) or to open the lid isn't really a good option when you need the laptop!

    Can you help me?

    Maybe it's something to do with some Windows power saving features?

    Thank you very much!

    There is a quick fix rather than wait for the battery drain...

    Hold down the power button / stop for about 20-30 seconds. That the material should turn off power completely allowing you to turn it back on.

    Updated the bios with the latest version and apply all windows updates after that, it can solve the problem of sleep bug

  • ScanFile will ignore the zeros

    Hi, I use this algorithm for some time in 2012 CVI, but now in 2013 of the CVI, I found that ScanFile does not work the same for me.

    I'm not clear, whether it is a question of CVI 2013, or just a sleep bug I had never seen so far.

    I'm scanning via a tabs-delimited ASCII log file.  Some "columns" text, others are digital. I prefer to browse the columns in a way not rigid; that is, I'm not strictly following the order of the column as it exists in the log file.  Here's what it looks like:

    for (i=0; i%i[x]",&unitData[slot].id);
                break;
            case LOG_COL_SERIAL:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%s[xt09]",unitData[slot].serial);        // discard tab (ASCII 0d09)
                break;
            case LOG_COL_REVISION:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%s[xt09]",unitData[slot].revision);      // discard tab (ASCII 0d09)
                break;
            case LOG_COL_STAGE:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%i[x]",&unitData[slot].logStage);
                break;
            case LOG_COL_RETRIES:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%i[x]",&unitData[slot].retry);
                break;
            case LOG_COL_RUNNING:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%i[x]",&unitData[slot].running);
                break;
            case LOG_COL_COMPLETE:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%i[x]",&unitData[slot].complete);
                break;
            case LOG_COL_ELAPSED:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%s[xt09]",elapsedString);    // discard tab (ASCII 0d09)
                break;
            /* Now fill a placeholder string with the remaining fields so that the file pointer stays in sync.*/
            case LOG_COL_DATE:
            case LOG_COL_TIME:
            case LOG_COL_VOLTAGE:
            case LOG_COL_CURRENT:
            case LOG_COL_STATION:
            case LOG_COL_SOFTWARE:
            case LOG_COL_SLOT:
            case LOG_COL_DESC:
            case LOG_COL_COMMENT:
                ScanFile(fileHandle,"%s>%s[xt09]",tempString);       // discard tab (ASCII 0d09)
                break;
        }

    The behavior I see now, it's that if I have all zeros in my log file in the numeric columns, these are are ignored until a value is found.  Suggestions?

    OK, I found the bug.  It was a little insidious guy!

    It turned out that I had an empty value for a column shortly after the creation of the log file.  Thus, there was a double delimiter (two tabs) and ScanFile was apparently stop after the first tab and discard the rest of the reading.

    So it's more prudent to conquer strings or values in each column.  Unless there is a safer way to sweep the line.

I tried absolutely everything already to try to solve the problem as reseting; Landau, MSC, deleting of plist files, remove and reset pefferred adding new location and reset service order, pure networks install of El Capitan 10.11 and upgrade 10.11.2 and even get my card replaced airport and macbook pro replaced shorty after. Until I replaced it, it ran from El Capitan. And now the replaced macbook pro is running Yosemite 10.10.5 and the problem is still there.

    I found has temporarily solution which was to download nosleep Yosemite version extension program that disables the function sleep at all times, but eventually it will damage my screen. I would like to know if anyone finds a solution for this problem? My wifi works fine on all my other devices such as my: 2 pc, chrome book, iPad and iPhone. It gives just problems on my macbook pro only. Everyone knows about this problem? And did you find a good solution that I have not mentioned? also I have Time Warner Cable and I have a 2 in 1 router modem by model Arris DG1670A which has 2.4 and 5 G-banding and the problem occurs on both frequencies. I have also the 300/20 DL / plan UL which allows to connect more devices to the internet if that helps. • Anybody have the same bug bit of lag with Wacom and photoshop cc from Yosemite installed two days ago?

    HY everybody,

    I just installed Yosemite on my mac two days ago.

    27' iMac, with 32 GB of ram... so I actually not lag issue.

    I use a Wacom Intuos 4. Last driver installed yesterday.

    But since the upgrade to Yosemite, there's a bit of lag but horrible bug when I touch the wacom with my stylus.

    Please help me!

    Alex

    After the installation of Yosemite and faced with the delay of two weeks, I spent a week on all the forums trying to find a solution, then I spoke with several representatives of the customer service of adobe and wacom.  According to a representative of adobe, wacom drivers are not completely comparable with yosemite, but they hope to be soon. I finally uninstalled and resettled yosemite mavericks, November 2014 wacom cintiq driver and photoshop CC 2014 and now my machine is like new.

    Hi people...

    Okay so Apple did all updated us to 10.11.6 yesterday we did. But now, none of our iMacs

    can be put to sleep by pressing the power button more.

    What is a temporary bug or a permanent part of the update?

    No idea how to say back to normal?

    How Apple did you update?  Apple does anyone update.  It is up to the user to decide if they want to update or upgrade.  Here, I'm still on Yosemite because I'm comfortable with it and have no reason to upgrade.  Do not fix what is not broken.

  • El Capitan e-mail, a lot of problems. Yosemite no email no problems.

    E-mail from Apple on the new MacBook Pro 15 "was so buggy, it is almost impossible to use.

    Most of the time my 3 email accounts are offline. I can get them online if usually 7 to 10 minutes. If the Mac goes to sleep or I leave him unattended for awhile I'll find my email accounts are offline. When the accounts are online, I'm still barely getting emails because they are sent to me, generally, hours later or the next day!

    Setting up a new e-mail account, 100% of the time it is an error (unable to connect to the server). I have to wait 24 hours before an e-mail account works.

    I run my old MacBook Pro along the side of my new Macbook Pro, so I can have reliable e-mail. On two Macs email accounts are set up as close as possible to each other. I tried every step that I could find online, however the e-mail problems remain problems.

    I am using IMAP.

    Any suggestions on how to fix the issues e-mail El Capitan, or recommendations for other email applications?

    Christo

    Hello

    In your e-mail application problems are not caused by bugs. I have - and tens of thousands of others - use 3 + accounts under El Capitan, and experience no problems.

    The most likely cause is a setting of mail account that need to be changed from when you were using OS X Yosemite. Please, try the following:

    Open your e-mail application and find the menu: ' Mail > Preferences ' , then the [accounts] - tab. This is your e-mail accounts.

    Click on the tab called [Advanced] and uncheck this option (as appropriate for the types of accounts you use):

    - automatically detect and manage account settings

    Then, in the same window, go ahead and check the box:

    -allow insecure authentication

    Repeat this operation for all your accounts. When you're finished, close the preferences window and choose to save the changes you made.

    Then, look for the menu: ' display > connection doctor ' you will be presented with a window listing all e-mail servers configured in your email application. If you have any servers SMTP-type with a red connection leads, double-click on this server and another settings window opens.

    Here you have another opportunity to uncheck:

    -automatically detect and manage account settings

    and check:

    -allow insecure authentication

    Repeat this step to save them all - SMTP servers that you use, the changes each time.

    Restart the OS X via: '  > restart " and let us know if this solved your problems.

    Since the installation of El Capitan, my streaming to my Audioengine DAC D2 cut after 12 minutes (the default duration of sleep). It will restart by pressing the space bar. When I change the duration of sleep, the cut outs are becoming more frequent and intermittent. Help?

    I checked the wifi and changed frequency (new modem, frequency change made no difference). The Board battery seems fine - all updates well. My computer is an iMac (2011), 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, with a new AMD Radeon graphics card. I recently installed a State strong 1 TB SATA drive and fitted with a LaCie Porsche 4 to USB for backup and a 4TB disk storage RAID LaCie drive.

    I'm frustrated, having to come in my computer since my living room every 12 minutes to continue to listen to Spotify on my stereo system.

    My guess is there a bug in the software of sleep in El Capitan, which disrupts his (I've tried different USB ports connect the Audioengine sender and same thing).

    Should I go back to Yosemite?

  • Stop the CC menu item to arise after sleep

    Whenever I wake my Macbook Pro (Yosemite 10.10.3) of sleep, CC (v2.1.1.110) shows its window. This is not desired, for me anyway, especially when there is no notifications. I want to stay in the shadows and show only when I click the menu bar item.

    Support cat gave me the advice to disable "start connecting" which I think is a ridiculous tip because I want CC to run all the time, just not show up.

    Is there a setting for this? Is there a place where I can file this as a bug?

    Since the installation of OS X Yosemite, I have problems with the components of the images blacking out completely on all floating windows in Photoshop CC 2014.

  • IOS 10 keyboard bug

    There is a bug at the moment where the software keyboard when my iPad Pro running the latest iOS (from today 06/10/16) displayed in the bad sense.  It happens as follows:

    I'm holding the iPad in Vertical Mode (Home button down) and I'm on the home page of apps.

    I pull down from the center of the screen to access frequently used applications.

    As soon as these applications appear that the software keyboard appears also, but in fashion landscape on the left side of the screen. It crashes me out to make a choice of app and I have to tilt the iPad to type the first letters of a couple of my app type laterally in the wrong way.

    Expected behavior: in a vertical position the keyboard should be popping up by underneath the screen, applications frequently used at the top of the screen and there is no occlusion.

    If someone has corrected it somewhere, I'm all ears, but I expect that what needs to be fixed with some magical-spackle code.

    Thank you all!

    Hello. You have restarted your iPad since the last update? Here's how

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
