Yosemite postfix alias - problems

I have always used the postfix aliases in older versions of the OS X server without any problem

It seems problematic to after moving to Yoesmite...

I learned that they are by default not enabled. and so I uncommented the following main.cf lines in/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix

local_recipient_maps = proxy:unix:passwd.byname $alias_maps

alias_database = hash: / etc/aliases

alias_maps = hash: / etc/aliases

And I also learned that the installation includes standard postfix versions changed by Apple to executables (which came as a bit of a surprise!)

So after editing main.cf and alias that I did:

newaliases

postmap - c/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/access

Postfix - c/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix reload

, but no joy.  The client cannot send the message, then we can assume that the server rejects the user (with an alias).

Annoyingly, I had it worked briefly but managed to break it again.

I would be very grateful for any advice, thanks

Are you sure that you meant:

/ Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/access

and is not

/ Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/aliases

In all cases, you must use postalias and postmap not for the alias local

for example:

sudo newaliases

sudo postalias alias

sudo postfix reload

postmap is used for virtual aliases inside e.g./Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/virtual_users

To avoid having to specify the path every time, you can add

Tents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/bin:/Applications/Server.app/Con

to your PATH variable.

See here:

Ed-output-on-OS-x-Server-5/ https://topicdesk.com/FAQs/Why-do-postconf-n-and-postfix-Reload-Produce-Unexpect

Also, make sure that you put your alias file in/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix and not/etc to ensure consistency

HTH,

Alex

  • Watch for problems on Yosemite 10.10.5 on MacBook Pro

I run my MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010) with Yosemite 10.10.5. Since the loading of Yosemite, I have problems with the MacBook is running slowly. I think the problem is with the driver for my external monitor of LG W2240T. I can't type a 6 letter word without waiting in the Middle for the computer to catch up with my typing display. I'm not fast! I also have large black blocks on the screen, as well as blocks of different colors "noise." I'm guessing that maybe it's the monitor driver. Those who are supposed to be included in the software of Yosemite.

I don't want to buy a new monitor if the problem can be solved. I throw myself on your mercy.   ;-)   I'm 73 years old, female and worked with computers for 50 of those years. Now retired. I managed a Department with unix, IBM PC, and Mac. My computer knowledge is not true to date, however, so I hope for more help.

  • Anyone having problems of 'Blackout' image with PS CC 2014 on Yosemite?

Since the installation of OS X Yosemite, I have problems with the components of the images blacking out completely on all floating windows in Photoshop CC 2014.

It seems to happen after that display went to sleep and I'll be back. Images illuminate briefly in each window then all going black and if I create a new document and paste is an image, the resulting layer is transformed into a mixture of checkerboard of multicolored rectangles and pieces of the pasted image. (see attached screenshots).

I am currently with my CC updates and only, this has started to happen this week when I installed Yosemite. I'm running OS X 10.10 on a 2.7 Ghz MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, beginning 2013) with 16 GB of RAM.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Addendum: The thumbnails in the layers palette display as usual.

  • Failed to open session in Windows 7 'could not load user profile.', in VMware Fusion 7.0 after upgrade to Yosemite

I upgraded my Mac Pro in OS X Yosemite 10.10. Before the upgrade, I did a normal shutdown of Windows and VMware Fusion 7.0.0. I also checked first for updates from VMware and was up to date.  After completing the upgrade, I restarted VMware and subsequently started to Windows. Shortly after entering the password to logon to Windows, I received the following error message "the service user profile Service has no logon. The user profile cannot be loaded. "My only option is to click OK, then it seems to re-start Windows, but I'm stuck with this result every time. I restarted the Mac with no variation in the result. Before the upgrade to Yosemite, I have not had any problems. Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

I found my answer for someone who is interested.  This isn't a Yosemite or VMware problem.  That's all just a fault which occurred during logon more likely an anti-virus on Windows running in the background.  There is a fairly simple solution be found on the Microsoft support site, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215

I am once again running without any problem.

  • Permissions issue with the files exported from Adobe last, CC on Mac 10.10.4 Yosemite

    Hello

I have a Macbook Pro (early 2011) running on Yosemite 10.10.4 was last updated. I've updated all my apps creative cloud to the last update as well. My problem is this: I can use applications very well (except that they must constantly force quit instead of exit normally... but this could be another story) and I can export files. However, even when you export a file to the desktop, when I try to open it, I get an error message indicating that I don't have permission to view it. This happens in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign - all the ones I use regularly.

To see if there is a problem with my mac, I ran disk utility and repair permissions. I restarted in recovery also and terminal mode to reset my user password. Nothing has solved the problem of permissions and what I tested other applications (such as Text Edit), it seems to be limited to Adobe CC. I don't know if this has started to happen when I updated the CC or when I updated to Yosemite last or if it is a problem between the two.

    Any idea?

I recently bought a MacMini Yosemite - running and trying to get my Dreamweaver CS3 to run on it.  It seems that since the specifications that it should run, but when I tried to install from the CD, nothing was in the Dreamweaver folder - just a green DW empty folder.  I'm guessing it's bundles?

If not, I wonder if it's a problem of disk/disk drive as the Mac mini does not - so used a hard drive on my network of oldman: Tower of mac... tried to down load something from adobe that allows you to download the software - but that doesn't work either.

  • Flash player installation fails on Yosemite/Mavericks

I could not update or install flash player for some time now.  It started on the Mavericks several months ago, when an update has failed, but I am now on Yosemite and the problem persists.  I tried many, many things on the forums apple and adobe for trying to get flash to install or update including starting in safe mode, remove the drive completely, flash Offline Installer and many others. I even spend about one hour with Apple in a chat session and another hour to a Genius Bar appointment - two technicians have been very knowledgeable but ultimately could not help.  I became convinced that something weird was messed up in my OSX installation so tonight, I reinstalled the operating system tries to solve this problem, but even that has not set.  The symptom is always the same - download fine, but little time in the installation phase fails.  The more useful info that I could get is running Setup directly via Terminal.

Untrusted certificate...  Flash will not install OS X 10.10?

The installer is signed correctly, Setup online smaily refers both the Offline Installer. Setup online simply download and install Setup offline silently in the background, while the Offline Installer is the full installation package.

  • I need help for Lightroom CC for the launch of the creative cloud. 5 Lightroom always throws, but Lightroom CC only run my applications folder. I use a MacBook Pro of the retina Yosemite running. Also 6 CS PS does not refresh.

I've deleted and reinstalled creative cloud and all my applications. I upgraded from LR LR CC 5 but LR CC doesn't launch since the launch of office about LR 5 CC CC Desktop App, but also PS CC & PS 14 CC. LR CC will launch only in my applications folder. I can not also updated PS CS6. My desktop CC app had a '1' next to the icon for so long and this is an update for PS CS6 but it still fails. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the apps again, but he is not always up to date. I even opened CS6 PS in my applications folder and tried to update there, but still, it would not work and gave me the error:

    13.1.2 for cloud creative Photoshop

    Failed installation. Error code: U44M1P7

Has anyone seen these before or have any idea how to fix? I don't understand why LR CC does not work since the creative application of Cloud toolbar when running my applications folder. I never had problems with an update before, but I tried to update Photoshop CS 6 for more than a month and nothing works.

Thanks in advance to anyone who tries to help him.
