You can temporarily be on 2 different computers 1 copy of XP?

Hello people, here is a good question I need to answer. I own a copy of Windows XP OEM and have activated on at least 3 or 4 generations of the same PC as it is revised in accordance with the standards of the day. And right now, one of my friends (who has a small notebook) need a new hard drive replaced on their machine. His notebook running Windows 7 Starter and had the product key... but... do not have the Windows 7 disc just in case she had to be reinstalled on the machine. In order to be a good guy, I suggested to my copy of Windows XP, so that we can see if the laptop is in full working order (which fortunately is.) Now... that's the problem. I don't have the money to buy a copy of Windows 7, not my friend. Since it was such a pain in the * to replace the hard drive in the first place, we cannot go out and clean the disc. We can not format the hard drive at all because of the way the BIOS is configured on the machine. And installed Windows XP on the laptop is demanding to be active and registered or it remains off completely. So the question is this... If the copy of XP on the laptop is turned on, it will kill the registration of XP on my PC and prevent me from using my PC? I need to know if it is really safe to temporarily run a copy of XP on 2 machines until get back us Windows 7 Starter on it somehow... but without depriving the damn thing apart again. It's on you. Hope Microsoft gets this one because I tried the live chat with one of their buddies from tech and pointed at a phone number that I can not move to.

Hello

The answer is no.

He explains:

Pre-installed Licenses OEM (HP, Acer, etc.) and the Microsoft System Builder OEM licenses are tied to the first machine that they are installed on and channels of license when this machine dies.

OEM licenses are not transferable.

Contact the manufacturer of Netbook on the way to reinstall Windows 7.

See you soon.

You can install the software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or everyone. If you install on a third computer, you will be asked to turn off this feature on the other two computers. You can then re-enable one of the previous two computersand use Cloud Creative apps on it.

Yes, you can activate the PS CS5 on 2 computers according to the EULA but cannot use them at the same time.

Activation is an automatic process which is in silent mode when you launch the application first time after installation.

If these are logical networks on the same physical network, you can simply create a new portgroup, or use the existing one.

If these are physical networks, you must create several vSwitch (for each network) and connect to the physical layer.

If these networks are the VLANS on the same physical core, you must create several portgroup and tag to each VLAN.

  • I have no sound on You Tube on Firefox on 2 different computers - I audio on Outlook and google on You tube. Why?

I couldn't get audio on YouTube videos on firefox for several days - I audio if video is a source other than you tube on Firefox. I am able to get you tube audio on Outlook and Google so I think it's a problem of "Firefox" and not on my computer. It's also happened on my counter top and my laptop. There is an X by the volume button on the You tube video, but it won't let me get rid of the X and turn the audio.

You'll probably notice a silent X next to the volume icon (speaker) on the control bar of the Flash Player on YouTube (hover the player). There seems to be a problem on the YouTube site and the sound is disabled by default.
If you need to pass the "speaker" icon and move the volume slider to the right to turn the sound back on.

  • After the upgrade to CS4... Can I install CS3 on different computers

This is a matter of license...

I disabled the CS3 on an older Mac and did a clean install of a CS4 upgrade to a new Mac (I just used the CS3 serial number to validate the upgrade). So, now I wonder if CS license would allow me to legally install the old CS3 on another computer? I know that I can install it legally on the same computer, but what about another computer?

CS4 license replaces the license of CS3. Legally, they are tied together.

  • You can create a name of different default used for the conversion of lead?

We use CRMOD for a high volume call center and we have a son with the same name. According to the online help, the first name and the last name for the lead appear"in the default opportunity name field." That works fine, but it would make our lives easier if he does something different, like maybe the first name, family name and POSTAL code, or first name, family name and a timestamp. Is it possible to do? I know that users might do something manually, but then I get all the associated problems.

Shmonty, at the moment it is only the field of interest is produced. We do not expect to provide customization functionality to the conversion of lead in a next version On Demand.

If it is the individual subscription, you can activate on 2 computers only.

However, there is no limit for installation, but you can connect and activate on 2 computers only.

If you had already signed and activated CC apps on 2 computers, and there still if you want to activate on a 3' rd computer, you can simply disconnect one of the 2 comps, so that you can keep counties of activation.
