  1. it is possible that you are missing the codec to play the file or it is clashing with other codec files.

  You can determine which codec was used with a specific file; read the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On thefile tab, look at the Audio codec and Video codec sections.

When I click on the 'play to' it will show the name of the amplifier and model number which I click on and then it opens the player where it will then tell me that "an error has occurred on the device" and then she'll tell me under the song that tries to open that "the device cannot be controlled."

  1. under Network TX-NR509 shows as a support device and I installed the drivers.

  2. I checked the options of streaming media and my receiver is set to "allowed".

  3. in WMP, I did of course "allow the remote control of my player" and "automatically allow devices to read my media" are both checked

  4 reboot the router & mobile.

  I have no idea what could be the cause and to say it's frustrating is an understatement.

  I'd appreciate any help you could offer.

  The case, first try to find the executable file for Windows Media Player and create a new shortcut from that.
