You cannot change the format of RMAN backup

Hello!

I am trying to restore a backup of the database controlfiles in a new host solaris11 with RMAN in oracle 10 g. I have a solaris10 box where I installed database10g. As far as I know what I have to do is this:

> define the dbid = 718308982;

> startup nomount;

> set controlfile autobackup format of disc type of the device of ' / u01/app/oradata/ACBET/%F';

> Restore controlfile autobackup.

However when I try to change the format, nothing happens.

RMAN > set controlfile autobackup format of disc type of the device of ' / u01/app/oradata/ACBET/%F';

executing command: SET CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT

RMAN > show all.

RMAN configuration parameters are:

CONFIGURE REDUNDANCY 1 RETENTION STRATEGY; # by default

CONFIGURE BACKUP OPTIMIZATION # by default

SET UP DEFAULT DISK DEVICE TYPE; # by default

CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP # by default

CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO "%F" # default < = same configuration by default...

SET UP THE DEVICE TYPE DISK PARALLELISM 1 BACKUP BACKUPSET TYPE; # by default

CONFIGURE BACKUP OF DATA TO DISK FILE TYPE DEVICE TO 1; # by default

CONFIGURE BACKUP ARCHIVELOG FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO 1; # by default

CONFIGURE MAXSETSIZE TO UNLIMITED; # by default

CONFIGURE ENCRYPTION OF DATABASE # by default

CONFIGURE THE ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM "AES128"; # by default

CONFIGURE THE NONE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY; # by default

And when I try to do the restore command I get the following error:

Hello world

The problem with this restoration has been far from my knowledge. The real problem was that the backup files that they sent were made in a different boutien than the one I used in the new host. For the sake of those who find this post in the future, you can not use rman to make. Until the date of this post, he must either use a simple import/export (with pump data if you like) or using transportable tablespaces to move a database between the hosts with another platform.

Thanks for all the help.

    I was forced to change my Apple ID because I changed my e-mail server.  I never put my ICloud for my Ipad and phone in place on my old ID and now I can not figure out how to change my id Icloud on my Ipad/phone, so I can set it up?  Technical support Apple didn't tell me that I would have no problem with this when I changed my ID but now when I go to the tab in my Iphone Icloud and I paved lists my old Apple ID without any possibility of change anywhere.  There is an Edit tab but which simply allows you to change your name and add a picture if you want, but the old address is grayed out and I can't access it.

    OK, so did you just changed the identifier on your Apple account Apple existing to the new address or haven't set up an Apple account nine for your new ID?

  • Changing the cursor for a helping hand in the text and you cannot change the sentence or paragraphs in boxes to listen audio mode

    In Acrobat Reader if you're going to see menu and scroll all the way to ' Read out Loud ' and activate it, you can listen to the texts.  And you can also take the blinking cursor and click on the sentence or paragraph and a box turns around the sentence or paragraph and reads within the selected text.  But in Acrobat DC the cursor flashing in the text box has changed to a f * k * g hand grabber and you stop to select whatever it is!  How can we change back the hand f * k * grabber g in a cursor blinking so I can choose the text I want to listen or to highlight or mark?  Can someone help me on this?

    Hi dales45194090,

    You can change the options to use Select or hand tool under Edit > Preferences > General

    Also, if you have selected "use keys.. accelerators" option, then you can simply press V as the shortcut key for the selection tool.

    Kind regards

  • You cannot change the output type and format in the page requests system - PeopleSoft process

    Hi all

    When I navigate to the PeopleSoft process scheduler page and try to run a process I see the output type and format web and txt only. I am unable to change the output type and format. All formats and types of output are marked as active in the system settings page. I'm super user of the system as well. I have as well the role of Admin ProcessScheduler. I would like to know if someone has already faced similar problems.

    Run the following SQL query to your OPRID:

    SELECT A.CLASSID, PSPRCSPRFL A.OVRDOUTDEST, PSOPRDEFN B WHERE B.PRCSPRFLCLS = A.CLASSID AND B.OPRID = '';

    Make sure that OVRDOUTDEST = 1.

    If it's 0 then you have to fix your configuration profile of the process as follows:

    -Main menu > PeopleTools > Security > list permission > CLASSID research (white list) back to top query

    -Go to the process tab

    -Click on "process the profile permissions

    S ' ensure that 'substitute an output Destination' is checked. Click OK, and then save.

    This should solve your problem.

  • You cannot change the permissions of the user

    Hi guys,.

    I have a MacBook Air, which started with the 10.11.4 2014 loading screen and would be turned off once the progress bar moves to halfway.

    I ran MRI what diagnosis came thin and storage said it was a software error.

    I removed the SSD drive and placed in a basket so I can see the SSD on my iMac. He goes (to the Mac OS Extended format) and I can see the folder of the user, but under "Sharing and permissions", she says that I can read only. In most cases I would be directly click on the padlock on the bottom right, change the privileges and choose "apply to included items", but it is all grayed out.

    I ran and fixed the permissions through terminal (since I can do is no longer on the disk utility). No idea how to get around this problem? There are files on the SSD drive which unfortunately were not backed up.

    Note: I also tried to run BatChmod but it has not fixed either.

    Any ideas?

    Your help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Repairing permissions has no effect on your Home folder.

    Reset permissions on your folder. Boot from your recovery partition now command-keys R in the menu utilities launch Terminal. In the Terminal, type: resetpassword , then press return.  (Note: you won't be reset password)

    Click the icon for the hard drive of your Mac at the top. In the drop down menu below, select your home folder. At the bottom of the window restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Then, click on the Reset button. When the prompt returns to the command line, you can leave out Terminal.

  • You cannot change the E-mail address associated with Apple ID

    I followed all the instructions to change the e-mail address associated with my Apple ID, including the signature of all THE browsers and devices that have previously been signed to my Apple accounts (icloud, itunes, etc.).  I also deleted my ID apple from my iPhone / iPad. The Apple ID page 'manage' I select "edit", "Change my e-mail address", and then I type in my new address, select 'continue' and screen dial just keeps turning and gets stuck.  I tried to use a new address "icloud.com", but that did not work.  Then I tried to use a new address "outlook.com", and that did not work; the dial at the same screen keeps turning but going nowhere.  Very frustrating.  Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    I'm not sure what you are trying to do but you can not change the address to iCloud and you are never offered any opportunity to do so.
