Someone knows how can I fix?  I can't download anything because of this error, I tried a system restore, but that did not work.  Any help would be great.

Click Start, click computer.  Then click on your system (probably C:\) drive and when it opens, you should see a folder named Windows.  This is the folder I'm talking about.

Is what program this?  I don't think I've seen a program that automatically and without offering alternatives downloads in C:\Windows\TEMP never - even in the days of DOS.  Are you sure that this program is safe and compatible with your system and the version of Vista?

    I hope this helps.

  • I get an error, access denied to the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp

Original title: access denied to the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp

    Hello

I have a problem with the Windows 7 C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp temp folder. Sort randomly, I lose access to this folder, in the sense that if I open a cmd terminal and I try to cd to that folder, it gives an access denied error (at least that I start cmd as administrator). I noticed in the list of permissions on this folder does not appear the SYSTEM. I read somewhere that this is the problem, so I added back, and then it worked. Unfortunately it disappears every day the list of permissions, and I have to put in place every day which is annoying. Do you know what could cause this problem? How can I see which changes these permissions?

    Hi Razvan,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community

According the information you have provided, I understand that you found error access denied when using certain commands to the command prompt. I will certainly help you in this matter.

    1. have you logged as administrator?

    2. do you have an antivirus software installed?

Some commands that you run at a command prompt, you need the administrative privileges for the good functioning of Windows.

  • I have a problem with c:\users\myname\appdata\local\temp.

    Hello

    c:\users\myname\appdata\local\temp

I plan to delete ALL/SOME of the files that are in this directory (NOT the files).  One of my applications is broken, and I suspect that it continues in this way due to a forced down while running.

I read on another thread that is not a good idea to touch the contents of this file, in particular the FOLDERS that are in this folder. Apparently, it causes problems for other applications. http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-files/deleted-files-in-userappdatalocaltemp-downloads/9dca1f8b-9d37-4a46-a0af-e1fce2662718

I will only delete FILES after a certain date and WILL NOT affect the files.

What do you think. This will cause me any grief?

    OK, back again.

I solved my problem of system by doing a restore of the factory system.

I got good advice on the above question, and there is no problem with the deletion of everything in this folder. This is something I do on a regular basis as the maintenance of the system.

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the startup message. As I understand it, you get an error message "Run DLL there was a problem starting C:\users\Maureen\AppData\Local\Temp\ the specified module could not be found" when starting.

I need to ask you a question to help you best.

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Method 1: Try to start your system in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

Method 2 : If the question does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

    (Moved to programs)

    Hi Elise,.

The Temp folder in the location you can get the error is temporary. It stores temporary data when you access a Web site or when you download a file. You can delete this folder. Select all the files in the Temp folder and delete it.

Let us try to check if you are facing this problem because of any third-party application. Attempt to start the clean boot of your computer state. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
