You know what they say "is not a question of if, but when.  I had a redundant backup system for my files for several years now.  I have a 3 TB drive desktop and laptop that I support each other up to a 2 TB.  Recently, I upgraded my computers HD and needed to create a mirror image of the old HD.  So in a moment of weakness I formatted the external HD which put my image of mirror and is gone to work, my laptop HD, which is now my only copy at all, had a problem and all my pictures have disappeared.  I called Transcend and gave me the recovery software and I ran and more 300 000 recovered files. implemented in recup_dir 635 files.  When I called them, they said, I had to sort through them to find what I need.  I looked at my now confusing LR and it says there are almost 64 000 missing photos, not really a PIN in a haystack, but as close as I ever want to be that.  Someone has an idea or experience on how best to go about this?  I'm in trouble... Laughing out loud

Hello, nice of you to send me a message.  But I think that I have not

good to explain it.  All my photos were on an external hard drive that

has failed.  So I called the Transcend tech and they gave me the software to

the files, in fact he recovered 370 000 files and I need to sort

through them to Palm them the place to hide them in folders so that I can

recreate my LR catalog.

Yet once again, thank you so much for reaching out and have a wonderful day!
