  Lumetri Panel/workspace in PrPro is designed as a quick Fixer & able to mainly simple elements you may need to. And it has some limitations so built-in types experienced low editor/colorist can't screw up at all times of their videos. If this tool has everything you need, so it is very convenient. You do not need to learn a lot of ranking 'thought process', just look at your scopes & your program monitor.

  If, however, you'll need to tell secondaries 'Key' on some shades at certain levels of brightness/saturation to change just THE color, hue, brightness, saturation data, or a number of other things more important to the image, then SpeedGrade would be necessary. For me, I use the Lumetri Panel on the simple things, but... as Jim pointed out, if I want to hit secondary or make major changes, I'm more the Sg. Because after I learned that the app rather... unique... minimalist... UI, I'm actually able to move quicker on things over there than in the Lumetri Panel.

  SpeedGrade is not the same as applications other colorist/ranking, didn't say the vast-toolset of determination... but link Direct saves a TON to prepare sequences & projects on XML/EDL out and return & tel. If you go to work with her, I suggest strongly to e-book by Alexis Van Hurkman "Adobe SpeedGrade."... Getting started» It is still CS6... BUT... It covers quickly and directly how SpeedGrade works and how to do things you want to do, better than anything else I've seen. The big change is in the CC versions using the Direct link that you don't have any EDL input/output, and as all the scenario changes you make through PrPro, both the chronology controllling/replacement parts of Sg is grayed out in a project of direct link (directly using a project file PrPro). The interface... different color... is almost identical to the versions CS6.

  In addition, there are some good programs on service tutorial lynda-dot-com, and some that are quite useful on SpeedGrade in AdobeTV that will give you the look more recent Sg and Di-link process. Maybe you spend a few hours in watching & playing around, but once you get this thing is pretty easy to use.

  I do not recommend having a ramp... a block of neutral gray tones will generally from left to right black (0) to white (100) that you can put on a timeline, see to the Sg, and then look at what is happening where when you change what... so that you get a feel for say overall "initial" three color wheels/luma sliders , which left elevator control, controls gain way Gamma and right hand do... and you need to see that the elevator is * not * the shadows... and then, when you change moves on the shadows, mediums and highlights and always looking three combos of luma/color controls, now what region they change? What control on how these controls affect the image data pivot controls provide?

  It sounds more complicated than it needs to use, really... you just can't guess what they are doing and being puzzled at the first/frustrated when things do not respond as you expect. A few graphics and several simple explanations & examples... and you'll be off and running.

• Color picker will not change the color correctly?

  I have a weird problem with color. When I changed the color of dark green to bright lime green on the color picker. The color picker shows the specific color I want and then I click 'OK '. It has not changed black lime green to green light... instead it shows the dull green color. It's really listen to me because I can't figured it out what wrong with it. I checked the color (RGB mode) Mode and colors... everything seems to be good for me.

  I also tested with another color, it still has the same problem. They do not show the bright color, it shows the dull color instead.

  According to the information, you're supplyng we using the screenshot, it is very clear, you're wrong, the color Mode is CMYK and non RGB just look at you screenshot and you'll see what I mean.

  The color mode of the Document in two screenshots shows CMYK.

  The color you see is planned. Change the color correctly in RGB mode and it will solve your problem.

• How the color correction?

  I have the official training book, but it's not much help with this.  All I want to do is correct color my sequence.  I selected all the clips because they are of the same lighting and camera set up.  I want to correct the colors them all at once.  So I go to effects and select "fast color corrector" and dragged to my sequence.  After doing all the clips have tab a little "FX" on them.  Then I go to the source monitor Panel and click on the control of the effects, and I see the color wheel and the controls for "fast color corrector.  But the right hand side that I see mentions the still image that was left in the source monitor before get me to that effect.  So I can color correct this alone, but the settings that I realize only applies to the still this picture.  How can I ask the fast color corrector to a sequence in the timeline?

  to apply a color correction to the entire clips or multiple clips at once, you can use an adjustment layer. How to use setting in Premiere Pro - YouTube layers so all the clips are basically the same, so you can color correct the and apply a 'look' to this adjustment layer. If some of the clips need to work extra, separated from the rest, you can always apply a color correction effect directly to this clip to adjust it.

• My monitor does suddenly not display the colors correctly, and no changes were made to all parameters.

  Suddenly, my monitor does not work properly after any problems for 2 years. The colors are off, showing no red at all.  Red looks black and all other colors are too bright.
  I the sRGB color space profile, the pilot 5.1.2001.0 Microsoft and has no updates, and the adaptor is ATI 3D RAGE LT PRO and also has no update.  No changes were made to all parameters. I tried everything I could think of!  I play games on Facebook, but has never been wrong before.  Maybe a virus?

  Thank you for your message.  Do you by chance have a way to connect your computer to another monitor?  This will eliminate the problem with the monitor.  If the red door on another computer, then we do need troubleshoot your computer.  However, if the other monitor shows, the problem could be with your monitor.

• Crazy rendering for the color correction time

  I gave a quick clip h.264 with the color corrector.  The clip is only a minute long, but the rendering time is more than 15 minutes?   Is this normal.  Final cut this would make about a minute or 2.  The file is a h.264 from 1920 x 1080 to 23.976.

  Appreciate any idea that can be offered.

  Not normal. You will need to provide an amount exhausting details about your situation and specific configuration.

  After my experience - if you have an approved graphics card and are able to engage GPU in the mercury playback engine you should decimate FCP rendering times.

  Instead of putting the description of Windows patches in downloading files installation or anything that might be called Toshiba should put a brief description of what patches do next to the fix...

  If you always run your OS updates each QFE will be downloaded automatically and will be installed on your laptop.

• I retouch and correct in PSCC, why don't windows display the colors correctly the colors?

  It is clear that this image is not converted to sRGB, reason why you get the dramatic difference. As sRGB, there would still be a small difference, but not nearly as good.

• Your comments in the action

  I performed an action in CS5 when I moved a box around a cursor image and manually, using some plug-ins, recorded values of each place. To provide feedback, before leaving each location, I had a filling of the slider box. When I run the action, however, even if it takes a few seconds all fills are shown both in the end. So, which defeated the purpose of make the fillings.

  A test, I created a stripped down action omitted what plug-ins, has simply fills down. Same result.

  What I tried:

  o put a step (for example, change colors of foreground and background) after each step filling - same result.

  When I write an interactive script, I would have the same problem but with the scripts, there is a solution.  Photshop seem to run steps and work to update the screen simultaneously to that effect the screen content appears to be trolling good Scripts and action steps.  Which may well reduce the execution time overall but its not always desirable.  In action you can slow thing by changing the action parameter pallets but who want to slow execution all the time, Action may include interactive steps turning on a dialog box like the following that the screen of the user will most likely catch any interactive approach. Maybe the using a script with the solution of script to make sure that Photoshop refreshed the screen before moving on to the next step of action will also work. Do not panic when you hear the words Photoshop Script. Of simple things like this is not difficult at all.  Open Notepad, add a line:

  App.Refresh)

  Then save as Refresh.jsx in the folder of Photoshop Presets\Scripts\ the next time you start Photoshop it will be ready for you to use in the actions.  When you want to display Photoshop to be up-to-date in a recording menu action file > Scripts > Refresh

  Hi, I have a few images that need fixed.  I wonder what tool or combination of tools you would use to calm blue.  It is very hot and cracking.  Camera guy had no idea and did not notice.

  

  It is more a problem of design of overall lighting to a camera problem, so I don't know that I blame the guy in the camera.

  I would anyway, simply use the Hue/Saturation effect, choose the blue channel and lower the saturation.

  Close all Adobe applications including Creative Cloud App running.

  Go to Documents folder and rename the folder 'Adobe' to 'Old.Adobe '.

  Launch the first after that and check if it is still the same.

  I just bought a Dell Netbook for my wife and after the opening of the Intel Graphics media accelerator control panel (driver for mobile 945 express chipset family), I tweaked the color correction to eliminate the bluish by default, BUT each time that I re boot the PC, these parameters are not re applied and I got to go again the same control panel and re still apply them (they show very well on the Panel configuration GUI just as I twisted them before the process of re - start, but they have simply not applied when the re PC starts).

• How can I make the color replacement tool works correctly?

  I want to turn black to green in a chart B & w.  Here's the chart that I start by:

  Replacement of color

  • Select the tool, color replacement (the tool replace color is part of the Brush Tool Options bar).
  • Menu, choose a brush in the options bar. Mode, as a general rule, you'll want to keep the blending mode set to color.
  • For limits, choose one of the following:

    Batch Replaces the color sampled, wherever it occurs under the pointer of.

  Contiguous Replaces colors that are contiguous with the color under the pointer.

• To tolerance, specify a small percentage to replace colors very similar to the pixel you click, or increase the percentage to replace a wider range of colors.
• To give a smooth edge areas that you correct, select anti-aliased.
• Choose the required sampling method. The available options are:

  Continues Continuous color samples, when you drag the color replacement tool.

  Once Samples of color only once, when you begin to drag the color replacement tool.

Background swatch Replaces the box containing the background color, whenever you drag the color on it replace tool.

• Choose a foreground color to use to replace the unwanted color.
• Click the color you want to replace in the image.
• Drag the image to replace the target color.

And here is the result I get:



I chose very carefully the darker more deep black as the color to be replaced and all blacks should have turned to green, but only gray pixels on the edges did it.  Oh, and here's a screenshot selected as I am, even though I have tried many different combinations:

There are means other than the color tool replacement for what you want to do, which is to add color to a drawing in black or any other color.

-First of all, use the magic wand tool to select the color (here black). You should see the "mobile dash" around the shape. Do not forget to uncheck "continuous."

-Create a new layer while keeping the active selection (new layer in the layer Panel icon)

-Menu Edition/fill selection"." Choose your destination color.

The new layer now holds your shape with the color you have chosen.

  I want to erase any correction of the colors of all components of the package, so I can start any color correction again from scratch. How can I remove all the correction of the colors of all components of the package?

  Select all clips and remove the Color Correction in video Inspector.

  PS will not work if you have applied multiple effects.
