your connection to this site is not private, chrome
I was recently doing a warning when you access certain websites in Chrome. On the left side of the toolbar, I see an exclamation point, and if I click on it I saw the following message.
This began to occur on Web sites that were previously well until about 2 weeks ago. To be clear, I am not prevented access to the page. I'm using Chrome version 52.0.2743.116.
I would be grateful for any advice.
This message means that the site is just using http, https protocol.
HTTPS is an encrypted http is not connected. Google has started this warning. Many sites will https. The form went to https about a year ago or not.

How to fix "this site is not reachable" on Mac?
I have a Wordpress site that is mapped to a domain (through Network Solutions) and it does not load on my computer. It loads on other computers on my network, but not my Mac, Capitan 10.11.5.
Help, please! This is the message:
This site is not reachable
shootthecritic.com refuses to connect.
Thank you!
You, or someone else using your computer, may have hacked the system to redirect requests on some servers. The modified file is/etc/hosts.
The best way to solve the hosts file is to restore from a backup prior to the change, or copy the file unmodified from another Mac. There is sometimes a copy unmodified with the name "hosts ~ orig" next to file hosts changed on the same Mac; If so, you can copy the contents of this file in the hosts file. Ask for advice if you need it.
If you can not do everything above, please see below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:
open -e /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.
Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).
☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste in the Terminal window by pressing Command + V. I tried these instructions only with the Safari browser. If you use another browser, you may need to press the return key after pasting.
Should open a TextEdit window. At the top of the window, you should see this:
### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.##127.0.0.1 localhost255.255.255.255 broadcasthost::1 localhost
Below, you can see a few other lines. The first 9 lines should be exactly as before, except for differences in the empty space in the lines. Otherwise, you cannot use this procedure - STOP and ask for advice.
If the content of the TextEdit window is described and there are extra lines in the file, close the window, and then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):
sudo sed -i~ '10,$d' /etc/hosts
This time you will be prompted for your login password, which are not displayed when you type. Type carefully, and then press return. If you do not have a password, you will need to configure one before you can run the command. You can get a warning to be careful. Confirm. Leaving the Terminal.
If you see a message that your user name "is not in the sudoers file", then you have not logged as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.
Who will set the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old file hosts with the name ' guests ~ "in the same folder as"hosts ". You can remove the copy if you wish. Do not delete the file named "hosts".

My MacBook Pro w/retina is a matter of days. The only thing I've done until now is put a Front on it and 5 extensions on Chrome. I already use a problem while trying to open a reputable site which is our phone company. When I click on Log In, I get ' this site is not reachable... unexpectedly closed connection "."
I can't open the site in Safari, either. It opens on my laptop and my 3 iPhones using the same router.
There it is again!
I tried the things:
I unchecked all extension a
I disabled my AV
I scanned for viruses and malware
Cleaned cache in Chrome
Nothing has worked.
Suggestions please
The first step is to get rid of your software "anti-virus" without value, which can be the cause of the problem. Remove it as instructed by the developer after you back up all data. Never install something like this even once.

For awhile, I got the dialog box with «security alert "revocation information for the security for this site certificate not available.» Do you want? [Yes] [No] [View the certificate] ". » I know that many, if not all, sites are OK because I used them several times in the past.
I tried different "fixed" found by Google "revocation information" and nothing solves the problem - what is.
When I try to make various updates, not related to this problem, I can not download updates due to a security problem.
Suggestions for a computer challenged the user? Thank you.

Amplifier of Alienware graphics has never been connected. This key does not work.
Hello.
My new graphic Alienware amplifier gives the following error message when I press the FN + F1 key: 'graphic Alienware amplifier has never connected. This key is not functional. »
The GA * is * connected and * is * works very well with a keyboard and an external USB mouse plugged into it.
Two things to note:
(1) Alienware alienhead logo on the front of the General Assembly do not normally lights unless the GA is connected * after * the computer starts. It feeds again the mouse and keyboard and the fan still works be it.
(2) I do * not * have a graphics card plugged into the slot of the AG.
So I'm wondering if #2 is what causes the error and also do not have the head lights as well? This worries me a bit because it may be up to a month before I get a card to try inside the AG. I bought the new GA here from Dell.
Any thoughts or help would be very appreciated. I sent support and was told just to call support - so thought I would try the community/forums here first. Thank you.
-Jeff
It is more likely #2. Reason is that even if you have connected the GA, the computer only detects it as GA without graphics in there. Such, the computer recognizes it only as a connected via PCI - E USB hub.
I did not FN + F1 when I got my GA (do not have a desktop GPU then), but I remember acting like a variety USB hub. I think that the fan still works (as you noted), but the logo lights because Command Center detects as the GA (sorry if I'm redundant). You can disconnect the internal fan because it is only cooling inside and the PSU, which should be very well without the fan.

Original title: frustrating popup.
Help! I get the following popup:
A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer. This program does not have a valid signature that verifies its publisher
C:|Windows/System32\Macromed\Flash/FlashUtil_ActiveX.exe
Why I get this and how can I get rid of him? It won't go away if I answered 'yes' or 'no' it just keeps popping up.
Windows 8 is built with Adobe Flash Player. If you have problems to view Flash content online, run Windows Update and check if there are updates available for Flash.
You can also try the following:
Click Start, type: Internet Options
Press enter
Select the "Advanced" tab
Under reset Internet Explorer settings, click "reset".
This should restore the Internet Explorer default settings.
Or try another browser like Google Chrome.

Reinstalled Firefox. Nothing. Could not open the admin panel. Can not open with double click or right click 'open '.
Many corrections on this site show goes to the Firefox button to disable the Add-ons - I bit - however since Firefox does not start, I can't try these options.

This seems to have happened right after the last update.
I read everything I can find on this site Web and other places and can't make it work.
Can't find old Firefox on the list of programs, so impossible to uninstall old version - perhaps happen automatically with the new Firefox download?

I am running Windows 7.
I can't open the troubleshooting proposed below.
Firefox functioned well until yesterday. Sigh. Can anyone help with this? You can use one of them to start Firefox in Safe Mode:
- On Windows, hold down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox with a double click on the shortcut to the desktop Firefox
- On Mac, hold the Options key when starting Firefox
- Help > restart with disabled modules
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- 22.0 Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.
- Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep problems also create a new profile.
Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

I get this alert, I think that when I started my computer and my Wireless LAN Controller connect to the internet via my router. (I use Firefox. (I've never used Internet Explorer, so the example delivered elsewhere IE probably do not apply to me because I checked my Internet Explorer settings and proxy is already disabled) how I would eliminate the alert now?)
Hello
When exactly do you get the error message? It's 'after the computer starts upward, and before you run applications like Firefox' or "after you run an application, specifically Firefox"?
If you get the error before you run applications like Firefox, perform a clean boot and check.
To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Please note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following step 7.If you get the error after running Firefox, contact Firefox support for assistance.

ERROR: There was an error connecting to this site [ERROR:-1].
I deleted a site in site management and then I could not connect new Business Catalyst
Hi Stelios,
It is the site of the partner, and it was the last active site under your account - therefore when you delete it, you didn't is more couldn't identify, you do not have any other active site to be redirected to.
I have restored, so you should be able to post the site that your choice of Muse.
About the connection, after that you publish the site of Muse, connect to it directly by going to http://siteURL/Admin (replace siteURL with the URL that the site will be - should be like some - name.businesscatalyst.com)
There is no need to connect to http://businesscatalyst.com/admin and then navigate to the sites you post of Muse, you can simply connect to each other directly by simply adding ' / admin ' at their address (URL).

You asked Firefox to connect to www.gmail.com, but we cannot confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect safely, sites will present a reliable identification to prove that you're in the right place. However, the identity of this site cannot be verified.
What should I do?If you normally connect to this site without problems, this error can mean that someone is trying to impersonate the identity of the site, and you should not continue.
This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HST) to specify that Firefox didn't connect safely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.
www.gmail.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not approved, because no sender string has been provided.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
Well, these aren't real site certificates, they are signed by a different transmitter, apparently your VPN. In order to trust with your VPN as a certificate issuer, you need to import another certificate, the signing certificate.
In Internet Explorer, you would an expert this certificate to the REB/DER format, and then in Firefox you should be in the References, not the servers tab tab, the display of the certificate. After that, the false certificates signed JuniperSSL will be considered valid.
At least that's what's supposed to happen.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
