YouTube search option does not

Everyone knows a problem looking for a YouTube video?  The input function does nothing, once I typed a title of the video in the search field.  Thanks for any response.

    I recently bought for laptop HP ENVY 17-n013na .  It came with Windows 8.1. I have to install Windows 7. Unfortunately, the legacy in BIOS boot option does not work for me. Here is detailed information:

    BIOS version: F.04 Rev 5.0

    I tried updating to the latest version of the BIOS on the Support site.

    To activate the option to boot legacy, I followed the following steps:

    • Entered, BIOS configuration utility
    • Go to the System Configuration
    • > Boot options
    • Changed the setting to the Legacy Support on " Enabled"
    • F10 - save changes & exit

    Now, after the restart, if I go once more, configuration of the BIOS Legacy Support is set to disabled. Whenever I have change to active BIOS, Save & Exit, it is up to the people with reduced mobility. Because of that I can't run the installer of Windows 7 DVD.

    Please provide any help & suggestions.

    I am running Windows 7 64 bit.
    Whenever I try to search that I am asked to turn on indexing, and I do.
    Because it is a recurring event, I studied further in indexing options.
    Indexing options said "indexing does not work" and and only allows me to enter the advanced options.
    Automatic troubleshooting futher gives me error measage "Windows Search service does not..." "Not fixed".
    I checked the services and tried to force start this service and get "error 3: the system cannot find the path specified."

    Can someone help me with this service?

    Security of Windows 7 is a PIA and what my problem was. "Indexing does not' and my inability to start theWindows Search service has persisted despite all these tips above and much more.

    When I went to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data and took possession of it (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/), I was able to restart the Windows Searchservice. Subsequently, indexing ran and worked.

    We need the value of the securities of the ProgramData (C:\ProgramData) directory in order to stop this _ to interfere with the installation of programs and, often, the execution of programs and services.     Although I followed other dialogues forum on the subject and tried all the suggested solutions, Windows 7 Search still does not for me. It will be as stuff in Control Panel etc, but never files and documents.

    Here's what I've done so far: -.

    1. Run the troubleshooter of Search & Indexing, say things that I can't find the files or by e-mail. It detects any problems.
    2. In Control Panel / programs and features, I checked that Windows Search is turned on. (The Indexing Service is turned off).
    3. In Control Panel / folder Options, I checked that the default values of the research are defined.
    4. I tried to rebuild the Index in Control Panel / Indexing Options.
    5. I looked for the wandering registry key mentioned here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7files/thread/cc378149-8765-498a-9480-b1b494e1a1a9 my system does not have it.
    6. I checked that the files (for example, "My Documents") have set of permissions system.
    7. I tried to switch to a different account username and research, which also do not work.
    8. I compared all the settings on my desktop PC (that has the problem) with my laptop, which is also running Windows 7 Home Edition, and on which the search works very well. They are all the same.

    What can I try?

    I worked my way through all the tips, but could not solve the problem. (I do not stop my AV - Avast - as it is also used on my laptop, which has never had a problem.) Finally I, reluctantly, created a new profile and copied all my files across, and search now works as it should.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64: search / indexing does not.

    I've seen several posts here with this problem and you have tried all of the suggestions. The problem is 'research' does not work in Explorer or the start menu.

    I have a file open, for test purposes and by looking at the file (even highlighted) and put his name in the search box and received the response "no item corresponding to your search." If I choose the "search again: [computer]" it will be after a slow search to find everything the file but not will not find him in regular or start menu search.

I see that at least someone else is a Dell machine that currently has an offer Prepackaging McAfee with its computers. I made Dell aware of this problem and I hope that this fix will work for others experience this. I have, of course, installed new security programs, and they have no impact on the indexation/research work as it should.

    You can check your language settings in your Subject: preferences page to make sure you have the correct language configuration. Go to the tab content for languages. You can also make sure that you enable spell checking in the Advanced section, under the general tab.

    Also, check your dictionaries to ensure that you have the right installed:
