YouTube video not scalling properly on android

I have YouTube videos in our publication. Seems the right size on ios. but on android it is not bringing scale to fit frame.

Folio built in Indd. Youtube embed html in setting place.

Why it would not work on android devices?

Hi again and sorry for the delay in responding back.

I could reproduce this on an Android phone, but I managed to test another method (thanks Bob Bringhurst) which seems to offer the best results:

Create a frame with the video dimensions target, select the image and copy only the URL of the video from embed code and paste it into the URL of the overlays Panel field. Example: http://www.youtube.com/embed/QV1UZ-88HeE?rel=0. In the overlays Panel, select Auto Play.

When you open the article, you will see a video correctly to scale.

  • YouTube is not working properly in any browser

Recently, I replaced the card mother and CPU on my PC (ASUS Sabertooth Z77, Intel i7 3770 K) and completely reinstalled Windows 7, 64-bit. I use Google Chrome for web browsing, and for some time, everything worked fine. Then I had to install the "other browsers" version of Flash and videos YouTube has become incredibly glitchy. always live one of three mistakes:

    1. Randomly to restart.
    2. Randomly turn green, emit loud cracks (like a CD skipping bad player) and go in small increments until the video ends. Recommended videos appear as usual.
    3. Randomly get stuck buffering, then view recommended videos and replay the key as if the video was made.

Things, I tried to solve this problem, in no particular order:

    1. Restarting my PC.
    2. Reinstalling Flash.
    3. Uninstalling Flash and let the built-in version Chrome resume again.
    4. Deactivation of various combinations of Flash in chrome://plugins.
    5. Relocation of Chrome.
    6. Using Internet Explorer.
    7. Clear browsing data Flash Player.
    8. Remove the Flash Player Cache.
    9. Disabling hardware acceleration of Flash.

NONE of these things helped my problem. The only thing that has temporarily alleviated the problems to reinstall windows again (Yes, I reinstalled completely Windows to try to solve this problem). And then a Steam game, I installed downloaded Flash without me realizing it and the problem has started again. I don't want to reinstall Windows again.

The only indication that I see a problem, is that Flash tells me that I have a 32 bit OS when I have a 64 bit OS, but I don't think that that is a problem. Chrome, Flash, etc. are all up to date.

Because I often relax with YouTube videos, my PC is actually useless because of this problem. It's really, really frustrating. Can someone help me?

Edit: I opted in the trial of HTML 5 for YouTube and the problem seems to occur not on the videos using HTML5, but it cannot be used on videos with ads, even with the ad block (I normally disabled on YouTube anyway). I also tried disabling my firewall when a friend suggested this, which did not help either.

Hello, I got all the such same symptoms mentioned in this thread for 10.x and 11.x.

I have also written about this before in a different thread:
    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4744449#4744449

After the days of testing, I tracked down the problem to be Comodo firewall:

    Firewall - t87120.0.html https://forums.Comodo.com/bug-reports-CIS/Flash-Player-playback-issues-caused-by-Comodo-fi

I had to completely uninstall the program before Flash 10.3.183.25 would work properly without these, indeed, strange freezes. «the video image just freezes and video sound stops or has excerpts of crackling or distorted casual»

Now I can finally watch flash on Youtube and Vimeo videos. And I activated the hardware acceleration.

11.x Flash also works a lot better after that I removed the Comodo.

  • YouTube is not working properly

Lately when I go on Youtube I am obliged to m.youtube which gives me a list of videos to choose. My browser opens in RealVideo, which I do not want to use. I use to be able to go directly to youtube and view them there. I have no problem in Internet Explorer. Is there a way I can go directly to youtube instead of m.youtube?
    Thank you

  • Firefox plays Youtube videos not, please help?

Simple question, yet nothing I've tried has worked. The video is just a black rectangle on the page. It happens with all the videos on Youtube.

I had version 12 of Firefox and it has not worked, put at 13, still does not. I do not have real player installed, I downgraded Flash 10 something points, disabled the flash Shockwave and still they won't play! SE ticked off and sick of having to use IE.

    Someone help me please?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Try to "disable hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.

  • Content YouTube Embed not scaling properly...

I don't really know what is happening with that. I've done several times before, so I think that this may be linked to the latest version...

I use a YouTube embed tag in HTML content on a personalized page to play streaming video in an article. We will design for iPhone 4, so the file source ID is 649 x 960.

Being that this is a portrait phone app, I've got the embed tag, put in place in the center of the screen 640 x 360. However, when loading the video, it seems that's climbed to double the size! The upper left quadrant of the Red play of YouTube icon is in the lower right of my HTML content area. If I hit play - he even played that way, unless I have turn my screen and allow him to play fullscreen, landscape.

I've got about 15 videos in my application of ExxonMobil I had done it exactly the same way and they work perfectly. I even tried to copy one of the MS app and paste in the current application, I'm developing, but in vain. It has the same problem of scaling.

Can you please look into this and see if it's a bug?

    Thank you

    Tommy

Thank you Nathan and Christopher... My standard method of using object > content HTML Embed and pasting a tag Embed w / custom dimensions would generate the right frame, but has been poorly scaling the content.  The second method listed in the thread suggested Christophe worked correctly:

Create a frame with the video dimensions target, select the image and copy only the URL of the video from embed code and paste it into the Webcontent: URL of the overlays Panel field. Example:http://www.youtube.com/embed/QV1UZ-88HeE?rel=0. In the overlays Panel, select Auto Play.

  • after update of 33.0.2 html 5 for youtube is not working properly... its glitter...

Help, please... I don't want to use flash player,

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver.

  • Youtube videos do not work.

    Hello

Some of the YouTube videos (not all) do not work for me. videos currently does not work, it's just an empty space.

    I have Firefox 16.0.2
I also have Flash 11.4 (was 11.3 and both did not work well)
I also get off at 10.2 and it did not help ether.
I also turn Firefox mode safe mode with all Addons/Extensions disabled and did not help also.
I also installed the latest version of Realplayer.
I tried to turn on/off Hardware Accelerator.

    whenever I have try a solution I hit Ctrl + F5.

my current theme is the default value.

I just tried to reset to factory settings Firefox, and that did NOT solve the problem.

All the videos that don't work on Firefox work on IE9 on the same PC at the same time without problems.

The fact that you get mixed results is a little confusing. Are you using the trial of YouTube HTML5? If so, maybe HTML5 videos work but Flash videos do not work.

One thing you might not have tried is to disable the new mode protected in Flash 11.3 +, which is not compatible with some add-ons. See this article from Adobe support under the heading of 'Last resort' for the steps: Adobe Forums: how to fix protected Flash Player for Firefox mode?

  • Videos YouTube does not properly play on android Tablet

    Hello world

I have some problems showing a youtube video in my folio (on an android tablet, load up using the content viewer).

    --------

    (A) integrate the html code and place it as webcontent

    AND

    (B) by using a hyperlink to show directly on YouTube

    I get the same result:

I only hear the sound, but I don't see anything but a black screen in the window where the video should be!

    ---------

All those out there who can give me a clue?

    Thanks for any help

    Tatjana

The video will appear if you hit the "fullscreen" button any player you're using. You can add a tap + icon full screen to allow users to know who is what they have to do to see the video. It kinda a boring experience, but so far it's the only way I found to keep videos in folios android until they allow video coverage online.

  • Videos YouTube do not play in Safari

When you try to watch a Youtube video in Safari 10.0, I get an error message that says: "your browser does not currently recognize the video formats available.»  Lower than that, it shows: "Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video."  When I click on the FAQ page, it shows Safari as one of the browsers supported.  The same video will play in Google Chrome.  I tried to empty the Safari cache and restart the computer, but do not claim.

I have exactly the same problem. In fact, I discovered he's trying to play one of the Apple own videos on their YouTube channel.  My YouTube account is set up properly to handle HTML5 video - always worked before this last update.

  • Freeze YouTube videos in full screen with Firefox, but not other browsers.

I had a hard time watching YouTube videos in Firefox in recent weeks. Basically, the video does not start and if I keep using small video player it works fine. But if I click on full screen, the video stops for a few seconds, then catch up and repeat this operation until the end of the video. However the sound plays always continuously throughout the video, even though the image is frozen. I don't have this problem in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, and it only happens on one of the three computers that I use Firefox on. I ran Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Kaspersky Internet Security, and Windows Defender full scans, so I'm fairly certain that it is not malware or a virus that is causing the problem.
I also tried the following without result: reset Firefox, Firefox run in SafeMode with no addons, reinstalling Firefox (more an another clean reinstall), reinstall Flash player

I can't understand what is wrong, and Firefox is my favorite browser, so any help would be appreciated.

Before restarting my OS in safe mode, I checked to see if I still had the problem and now he is gone magically. I did no change at all since yesterday when it was not working properly and now it's fine. Kind of strange. anyway thanks for your help, that's why I love Mozilla so.

  • All Youtube videos will not load

All Youtube videos on the site and those shipped about 2 months ago, stopped loading. I would just get a black screen on Youtube.com and a white space on an embedded video. I didn't take the Firefox settings.

I have all the latest plugins, including Adobe Flash Player, etc.. Videos work properly on IE 9, with the settings and plugins by default.

If you use extensions (Tools > Modules > Extension) as NoScript , Adblock Plus or Block Flash that can block content, and then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Problem with Windows Media Player: "Server execution failed" and "files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly.

I have a problem with Windows Media Player on laptop Lenovo G780. My laptop is under warranty (bought a month ago), but technical support Lenovo told me that the Windows Media Player program is not covered by the warranty.

    And this is a problem:

When I click on Windows Media Player - to about 0.1 sec I see it opens and closes the window and nothing happens.

When I select a mp3 or wmv file and right-click with the option open with Windows Media Player - I get a message: "Server execution failed" - I checked that all services with 'Media' in the name are running.

When I select a mp3 or wmv file and right-click with the open option with Windows Media Center - Windows Media Center opens with the message: "the files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly.

I tried to turn / WMP and WMC - did not help
Tried to run as administrator - did not help
I don't see something suspicious under events

    What can I do else?

I had the same problem and then by chance, I tried a video on YouTube and it worked for me. Here's how I went on this issue and solved my problem:

    1. go to the computer, then OS (C).
    2. you will need to open Program Files (x 86) and Program Files.
    3. go to Windows Media Player in Program Files (x 86) and open the folder.  Then, remove the wmplayer file.  You may need to work around the error TrustedInstaller.  I'll tell you that, in a moment.
    4. in Program Files, go to the same folder for Windows Media Player and select the same file again. Wmplayer.  Copy the file in another window open.  Copy ensures that if the question comes up again you can at least try to fix it again.
This should be the end of your problem.  If you need to circumvent the TrustedInstaller question is how:
    1. right click on wmplayer and select Properties > Security > advanced > owner > Edit > other users and groups.
    2. Enter your username and then click on check names.  Click OK.
    3. close the dialog boxes as he has requested.
    4. open again the properties and click Security.  Select your username from the list and click on edit.  From there, select full control.
This should give you full control over the removal of the original file for WMP and easily allow you to copy the other files (x 86) programs.
Please let me know how it goes for your problem.
  • YouTube videos does not correctly, pixelated

    Hello

Since I installed the new version of flash, I noticed a few videos on youtube does not properly. Videos appear very pixelated with many green/purple artifacts throughout. It affects maybe 10 to 20% of videos, and they seem to mostly older. HD etc. everything is fine. I have not encountered the problem on other sites still, but I don't frequent them very often.

Here is an example screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/apPzW.jpg

I tested on my other computer and it seems fine.

    I use:

    Win7 Pro 64-bit

Browser Chrome (tested in IE 32 bits, same problem)

    Intel i3 w / integrated graphics

    WIN 10,1,53,64 flash player version

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

This means that your graphic/video/display card or its drivers don't fully supported GPU hardware acceleration.  You can check if a new device driver is available which has better support for hardware acceleration, but she's working for now, better leave you it alone.

  • After the last update of Firefox, youtube videos do not play. The answers I've found are not relevant or too complicated.

After the last update of Firefox, youtube videos do not play. The answers I've found are not relevant or too complicated.

Hi Cbella, YouTube is generally used with an HTML5 player, who is a player who does not use a plugin video in MP4 format (for example, it does not use the Flash plugin).

Now, I based this assertion on Windows, Mac may vary.

Could you do two tests for me?

    Test #1:

To verify which player you see (which does work), try a right click or Ctrl + click on the YouTube Player and check the "context menu" that rises. If it's the Flash, there will be a menu short, referring to the Flash on the last line. If you do not see that, if you get a regular menu of Firefox, it's probably the HTML5 player.

    Are what player you?

    Test #2:

If you open the following test page, which videos to play?

    http://www.quirksmode.org/HTML5/tests/video.html

    • The video "H.264/MP4" play?
    • The video "WebM" play?

    Thank you.

Also, you can check if your Flash plugin is up to date? You can use the site Mozilla Plugin check for this (please ignore the other plug-ins page wants you to update at the moment avoid making the situation more complicated):
