  Not as inept that I thought I was.  Had to go to the Manager of the office, is go to Options in the toolbar, you click 'Connection settings' and chose USB option and detect and now everything works fine.

  I just upgraded my old Torch 9860 to a Q10 and am completely happy with Q10, with the exception that I can't get link BB to work on my PC. When I went through the initial configuration of link pages, it gets stuck on page 3, complaining that my BB ID is not associated with a device of BB 10. Its the same ID on my 9860 and it works very well on my Q10, but Link can not manage it. Any suggestions?

  I just put the last updated OS10.1 on my Q10 (10.1.0.4181) and link BB now runs like a dream, with none of the previous problems recognizing my BB ID. seems to have solved my problems in one fell swoop.

  Would you consider investing in an external USB drive and use it as your backup media.  This will work part-time full support until CD as the only hold about 700 MB of data and your hard drive is perhaps in a fit of 250 GB, what amounts to a large number of CD on current prices an external drive will pay for itself within a very short time and you are mucking around with several CD
