  • Satellite 5205-S505 - how to remove the battery with the damaged battery latch?

I try to set aside my laptop (satellite 5205-s505) today. But I found that the release latch was damaged somehow. What can I do?

My seriously damaged lcd. I have method to close the LCD to save energy (just use external moniter)?

This battery is a very good question. I think you're the first person who asked it.
If you cannot remove the only way is, I think, to disassemble the entire laptop and somehow free battery.

When you use the external monitor, you have to use the FN + F5 key combination and switch to an external monitor only. Portable computer's LCD will be OFF.
You can also check the Advanced display settings. Usually, you can also find settings to define where should be the office.
    Check it out!

  • Latitude 10 - How to remove the battery

I'm new to this community and using a tablet. My 10 Latitude happened last week, as well as my two spare batteries. (I vacation where there is no power.) But I can't remove the existing battery. The switch moves to half way and the battery didn't budge.

Any ideas what I need to do?

Sorted! I emailed support and they gave me the best phone number to call. After talking to three different people (if you ever ring, make sure that you have your service in front of you and you know the phonetic alphabet.) You don't have to repeat everything again and again repeat.)

Anyway, after finally making contact with the correct service, there was no problem and I have been informed that a technician would be out to repair my tablet. The next day the technician rang, made an appointment and confirmed my address. The next day (today), he was there (he came from a city 1.5 hours away from mine) and the locking system was replaced in less than half an hour.

Now, it's the bit that someone else with a sticky Latitude 10 battery latch will need to know. Between us, the technician and I worked that the best way to release the battery should push as far as it would go with one finger and then get the other thumb into the void. From there, it is "relatively" easy to slip the plug back and exit will appear automatically the battery.

In other words, do not use tools to try to move the latch.

Well, it is a job with both hands and it is not convenient, but at least I know there is no chance I'll lose or damage my battery in transit AND I can change my battery when I need to.

    Thank you, Dell.

    Hello

    Follow these steps: -.

    BE VERY CAREFUL!

Before you begin any Setup or uninstall procedure:

1 shut down the computer. If you do not know if the

computer is turned off or in hibernation, turn on the computer.

and then stop it through the operating system.

    2. disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer.

    3. disconnect the power cord.

    4. remove the battery by following these steps:

    a. turn the computer upside down with the front

    towards you.

    b. drag and hold the 1 battery release latch to the left.

(Disengage the front edge of the battery of)

    the computer).

    c. lift the front edge of the battery 2 and bring her back.

    d. remove the battery.

Reverse the above procedure to install the battery.

  • Envy 15 Notebook PC: Remove the battery

    Hello

I Envy 15 laptop and I'm having a hard time finding how to remove the battery. I sometimes develop the machine freezes and I need a way to power down without waiting for the battery to run out. I remove the back of the box of the computer very well, but it seems no way to remove the battery. One site (a review of the urge) says that there is a special tool to use but did not describe the tool or how it might be used. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

The battery is not removable on the Envy 15 series because they are bolted to the floor on the controller.

To perform a hard reset, turn off the power, unplug the power adapter, and then hold down the power and buttons of beats for 8 to 10 seconds.

  • How can I remove the battery? Can not find the "door"!

I'm looking at the t-shirt and I can't get the battery door to open. My phone is non-repsonsive. ICAN can't turn it on and covered troubleshooting said remove the battery and put it back in. I can't figure out how to open this device and take out the battery. Thepictire is not useful at all.

To remove the battery cover, the best thing to do is to try to put your fingernail between the cover and the screen on top (I usually do it between the fingerprint reader and the corner of the phone). Once you get a loose corner, it is easy to remove the rest of the cover.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to restart the Blackberry Torch 9810 without remove the battery and reinsert again?

    Hello

Can anyone help on this issue

I want to restart the unit without removing the battery and reinsert again.

Y at - it an option

Yes.  It's easier with your blowtorch laid flat on a desk (etc.)

On the QWERTY keyboard, press and hold ALT, and then press right SHIFT and DELETE keys at the same time. Until the red light appears, then release all keys.  This restarts your device and works on all devices with a standard QWERTY keyboard.  There are also applications 3rd party who will accomplish the same thing, but I think it works for me.  I hope this helps. ~ ecm

  • Satellite C650D-006 - how to maximize the battery life?

I have just bought a laptop C650D/006 and I was wondering what is the best way to maximize the battery life. In other words, if I use it with the power cable plugged AC will be keeping the battery installed the result of all the time a decrease in the battery or it does not make a difference?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

You can maximize the life of the dough if you always remove the battery if you n t necessary e.g. in the House where you can work with AC/DC adapter.
In addition, the battery must always be fully charged and be invoiced if it s empty.

Moreover, I found a very interesting article for you in the section fair questions:

  • Portege Z930: How to keep the battery alive as long as possible?

    Hello

Got a Portege Z930 recently, I do not know how to manage the recharge of the battery in order to maintain 'live' as long as possible.

I'm mainly using computer at home, to leave the battery and then recharge, but I'm not sure it's a good idea. I had an A-200 before satellite, also use it at home and keep connected all the time; After a few years, the battery capacity decreases

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    > after a few years, the battery capacity decreases

It's nothing unusual after a few years of any battery would start to lose performance.
Generally speaking after 500 times charge cycles the battery begins to lose clean performance.

Of course you can remove the battery and could use the laptop only connected to the power adapter, but in this case, the laptop would shut down when making connection interrupted.

To extend the battery work, you will need to calibrate the battery from time to time.
To calibrate the battery, you must discharge the battery until it is completely empty. Then connect the power adapter and charge the battery up to full charge. Repeat this procedure two or three times in the line.

    Greetings.
