Envy 15 Notebook PC: Remove the battery
Hello
I Envy 15 laptop and I'm having a hard time finding how to remove the battery. I sometimes develop the machine freezes and I need a way to power down without waiting for the battery to run out. I remove the back of the box of the computer very well, but it seems no way to remove the battery. One site (a review of the urge) says that there is a special tool to use but did not describe the tool or how it might be used. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Ben
The battery is not removable on the Envy 15 series because they are bolted to the floor on the controller.
To perform a hard reset, turn off the power, unplug the power adapter, and then hold down the power and buttons of beats for 8 to 10 seconds.

Hello
You would not void the warranty by removing the battery - if you use mainly the laptop with the power adapter is connected, I suggest you drain the battery to about 40% before you remove and store in a cool if that's what you want.

I have a HP 355 g2 I have running on the network. Then I remove the battery?
Hello
It is fine to remove the battery and run the notebook only on the sector.
If you do not want to do (and you have a reliable power supply ) drain the battery at 40% charge, then remove it and store it in a cool place.
Then, once a month, reinsert the battery, turn the machine on and let the battery fully charge. Unplug the AC adapter and let the unit run until you start getting a "low battery" warning Completely load it again, then let the battery drain to about 40%. Shut down the laptop, remove the battery and store it separately in a cool place. Repeat this procedure each month will help you keep your battery in good condition.

Satellite C660D - 10 d will not start unless I have remove the battery and reinsert
Present a strange problem that I can't solve.
Brand new, open all laptop worked perfectly.
Turned off normally and left it overnight with the power supply connected.
Next day morning pushed the button market / stop the portable green power on but light did not start.
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds does nothing.
I remove the battery for 10 seconds and put again and then you press the power button and you get a full boot up normally.
Everything on it works perfectly, you can restart the laptop without problem, you can even turn off then turn on half an hour later with no problems.
This problem occurs only when it is off and that the power is plugged in for several hours.
Back to toshiba warranty, I've attached a note explaining the problem and even returned what he locked up so he wouldn't turn until they removed the battery.
10 days later they returned it saying that the intensively checked the laptop and found no abnormalities.
I plugged the battery and pressed the power button / stop and the same question once again outside of this period, that the fan runs for 2 seconds then turns off, I removed and re inserted the battery about 15 times before it started normally.
Last night went out as normal and this morning the question of the standard of don't turn is not on at all.
Just to clarify him when the power supply is left connected overnight or for several hours so that the system is power off the laptop does not start, the Green led lights, no fans spin, no sign of life. One way to start is to remove the battery for 10 seconds.
I've been on toshiba again and said that if I return it a second time and they can't find a fault that I would have to pay £80 for it returned. I recorded the fault to prove that they is a fault but they seem not interested in that.
Up to now, the bios has been updated, reinstalled windows, I can't replace drive HARD or RAM that the warranty will be voided. However issue and im 90% that this is a motherboard.
All the ideas that I'm completely stuck on this one!
Sorry to hear you I have a problem with your laptop.
Problem you have is certainly hardware related issue and it should be solved by Toshiba.
In my opinion you should not spend money for new parts, trying to solve this problem.Laptop warranty valid and should be set the laptop for free.

Satellite A55-S1065 - after removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
So, something happened yesterday, and it seems to me that it is very strange.
I have a portable Satellite A55-S1065. And while I was with power point, the
computer crashes. In the midst of my confusion, I decided to delete
the battery just to make him stop.So I did it and plugged it again
and I tried to turn on the computer. Now, the bios ask me a password,
but I've no idea what password it is that. Can someone help me solve this problem?
IM really desperate to find a solution to this since this computer contain
many of my works.Thank you very much.
> After removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
I know it may seem silly now, but I never heard of something like that. I use laptop for a long time and I had the experience with many others and strange question, but something like that, never.Problem is that we are dealing here in the public forum and BIOS password is a very sensitive area and very important security feature, so we can not write here about some illegal ways how you can remove the BIOS password.
If there is no way to start your laptop, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
I'm sorry. :( -
Satellite A200: Should I remove the battery when working on the power supply
Hello
I've been running an A200 machine for the last 2 months, bought as a desktop replacement in order to fit in my small apartment. I realize now that I never ued work on battery - it is always powered on sector. Since this is unlikely to change, should I remove the battery? Deing battery degrades remaining in the machine while it is continusouly by the industry feeding, or does it not matter?
Thank you very much in advance for your reviews.
GW.
You can remove it, but it should not be done. For me, it's stupid to remove the battery and let the dust make the battery place dirty. The batteries we use today are very good and Scott wrote the electronic power supply just to check if the battery is full and care the battery and the battery capacity.

Satellite A500-1GL: it is advisable to remove the battery when you use the network
I know this is a silly question but its actually something I know not so thought I would ask.
I almost always plug my laptop into the supply line (satellite a500 1gl)

Or is it really advisable to remove the battery when you use the network?
I didn't know if the battery should always be in place.
Thanks for your help
