Zoom on a timeline / sequence

in first pro cc 2014 you can zoom in on a timeline / sequence by pressing alt and scroll with a scroll wheel and it zooms just where is your mouse pointer.

but in first pro cc 2015 it just zoomed in on a random place not where is the coursor.

someone at - it similar problems with first 2015?

PS: I'm on windows 10

Hello

So far, there is no such issue being reported and I'm also not able to reproduce this on my end.

He works in first Pro CC2015.2 exactly in the same way, as he used to work in first Pro CC2014.

I suggest you to try a new project and check, if it is specific to a project.

Thank you

  • Missing timeline/sequence

Hello.  I recently started to use the first Pro CC after having been a previous user of CS.  After spending some time working on my first project in CC (and savings at regular intervals), I closed the project and returned it the next day.  When I did, the timeline / sequence window was completely empty, it seems that all my work was lost.  I saw at least another person posting a similar topic here, but would welcome any ideas of how I might be able to get that back.  Maybe missing me something, as I haven't used Premier Pro for a while.  Is this a known issue?

    Thank you very much

In fact, I managed to solve the problem by opening one of the versions of the automatically saved project and going in the AutoSave folder!  Thanks for your reply though!

  • Timeline/sequence missing after update

    Hello

I just my CC Pro first update to the latest version couple Twitter.com. After update, when I tried to
go to the project, I work for a few weeks, I couldn't find some of the sequence/timeline

After that I opened the project. I keep backups every few hours then tried to open the previous backups, but these sequences are just like

they never existed! It's really scary because all my efforts for the past weeks disappeared. As I'm on a Mac,
I tried to use Time Machine to return to the ex version and found all my timeline/sequence are always there in my

project. I wonder if this is a bug in the latest version, I guess I'll stick to the version ex for awhile anyway.

  • Zoom and follow a sequence UHD?

I'm pretty new to this kind of editing, although I have a pretty good base level of understanding of the PrP a simple editing and workflow.  I have a UHD sequence that is quite long (an hour, material of conference) and there is generally more than necessary field.  Ideally, I tries to take on a crop of 2880 x 1620 that I and follow the speaker, then convert them to 1080.  I don't understand how to follow the speaker (at least I think I do), then I thought to apply the proposal of path to a new publication that is the appropriate size.  However, it seems that you cannot anchor a window of composition for movement track data, so I think that my idea about how to do this is not the typical workflow?

I tried searching for something similar, but all examples are for something different, so I have not the right words for this process.  Obviously, any help is much appreciated!

An hour long shot is kind of nuts and monitoring results will be for the most part useless. If your speaker forward and backward on the scene and he turns his body and he moves closer and further away from the camera, and the most stable thing, that you can follow is its size, then you will have problems whenever a hand passes or he turns. You talk also about some non-standard image sizes. Here's what I would do and it won't probably involve AE at all.

Import you long hour clip in Premiere Pro and take note of the pace. Create a new sequence that is HD standard and match the frame rate. When you drag your images in a Premiere Pro sequence it will ask you to match the settings for the video. Don't, don't. Now open the video effects Panel Viewer, select the handles in Premiere Pro Control Panel program, and then set a keyframe for the position and scale. Move the clip in the right position and resize if she understands what you want to include. Copy both the scale and position of the keyframes. Scrub now down the timeline and when you feel the need to change the view and position scale stick then go down to the place where you want to move the camera and slide the blow to its new position. Do this several times, you don't have to work in real time, and then select all the keyframes in the timeline panel and facilitated easy use. Now you can scrub through your shot of long hours and see how the movements work and make adjustments. That's all there is to it. You're going to do in about 1/10 the time it would take you just get the follow-up in AE and you won't have to find a way to fix all the errors of follow-up. PZ EZ...

    Here's how:

    1. Select the image in the scenario.
    2. Go to your effect control panel.
    3. Turn down the triangle next to "movement".
    4. Drag the box where it says '100' to the left until you see the whole picture.

If you do not plan to animate the scale, position or rotation of the image there is an easier method. Select the image, then right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Mac OS) and > scale to the size of the image

  • How to get the sequences to be visible in the timeline

Footage on the timeline are somehow not appearing, I don't remember something I shouldn't have, then what should I do to correct the changes and reset the default settings? Preview of the timeline screen is simply blak for the scroll bar hovering in the clip

It looks like your images are trimmed to be one frame in duration. Your sequence also shows a duration of 1 master and the playhead is at 00:01 - which means that the playhead is at the end of the sequence, and by design, black list. I think that if you select the program monitor or timeline panel and save an image, you will see the image. And if you zoom in the timeline, you'll see a single track to lasting 1-framework element.

'Window' and then down to "Timeline" should do.

  • Zoom in on the timeline

When I use the + or = keys on the Mac to zoom in the timeline, it increases the height of each track. This is the normal behavior I thought you could use these shortcuts instead of use the action of horizontal scrolling with the mouse?

You hold the command key pressed when you use the = or? You are now the SHIFT key when you use?

To zoom in or out on the timeline, simply use the keys (= zoom in, zoom out) without pressing a modifier key.

  • How do I Zoom in on a dynamically linked sequence of images first?

I did a sequence of still images in first, for an animation in stop motion that I'm working on. I shot the images at high resolution so that I would have a lot of pixels to work with when it came time for the zoom and pan, etc., without loss of image quality. I want to start the sequence totally a zoom out and zoom in on a particular area. When I presented the first sequence, I changed the scale of each image to 37.3%, so that the entire image appears.

    Pr 1.png

I can't zoom in on the image in the first sequence, because the zoom key frame will not be postponed several images. So I dragged the sequence in After Effects (thus creating a dynamic link), where I planned to do all my zoom and panning effects. However, in After Effects the scale suddenly is more 37.3%, but 100%, which means that if I Zoom in on a particular area, I get that grain, as if I had to by zooming in on an image low resolution.

    AE 1.png

To try to work around this problem, I returned to first and put all images to 100% wide, cut a large part of the image outside of the display area. First, I was at least still able to return to the position of one side to the other and see the parts of the image that were cut. However, when I go back to After Effects and try to return to the position of one side to the other, or the scale of the image, the sides are cut. The file of the image itself has been preserved not, apparently. I can only see what was in the first display area.

    Screen Shot 2014-01-21 at 8.23.41 PM.png

So this is my problem with zoom / pan through a sequence of animation image in first / After Effects. Help, please!

You do this by creating the sequence in Premiere Pro, to the same size as your image, which allows for the report to the screen, of course. I guess that you don't shoot 16:9 images, but you might have.

If you nest this long sequence in a sequence of normal size, like 1920 X 1080 or 1280 X 720, then you will have to scale down to fit. From there you can scale this back to 100% without any loss.

  • Find a Clip on the Timeline in a sequence

I have little 80-100 clips in a sequence and want to find quickly when, in a sequence, the clip is.  Say this is clip MVI_1570.  I would like to locate it and replace it with a better clip.  Of course I can rub it slowly through the sequence of 90 minutes, but I was wondering if the Organization had a search function for sequences (as it does in the project and effects tabs/monitors).  And I recognize that pieces of MVI_1570, for example, can appear several times in the sequence and I want to reported to each occurrence.

Search for the clip in the project Bin Panel and occurrences of the element in the timeline (sequence) will be shown in the whirlwind to the bottom of the triangle next to the small monitor.

Click on one and need you to the occurrence of the element.

  • Somehow, I managed to compress my sequence bar...

I was working on the creation of a title. In the middle of it, something to happen, and all the files that were in the bar in the sequence has become compressed. I don't know how this happened or how to cancel it. It's put an end to my progress and I can't get anything done now. I tried to open a different project and the bar of the sequence has been very well. When I went to open one I had worked in, it was always the same thing. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

If per Tablet tell you zoomed in from outside, go to Edit/shortcuts and type 'zoom' in the search window. This will show you the keys to zoom in the timeline, thus making each clip appear larger.

  • Markers and comments on does not above timeline

I've done a few markers with comments. If I Zoom in the timeline comments generally appear above the timeline. Now it does not. Someone knows how to fix this?

Here is a screenshot of what I have

    Here's what I have.

No comment does actually appear above the timeline for me.

Double-click the marker and make sure the setting is greater than zero.

  • Mixture of 1080 p and 4K on the same Timeline

If I have a timeline 1080 (16:9) and then slide a clip of 4K on this subject, the 4K clip appears to be almost twice the size as the clips in 1080.  I have to go to effects Control - Motion (or double click on the item in the program monitor) to obtain the bounding... which allows me to reduce the image to fit the 16:9 format correctly.  Conversely, if the timeline was initially installed for 4K clips and a clip of 1080 fell into the timeline, it seems about half size in the program monitor.

If my original video clip on the timeline is still 1080-16:9, is there a setting in Premiere Pro that allows to detect and properly size (to fit the 1080 - 16:9) clips of 4K or will, I need to reduce the size of each clip 4K manually.  I know that 4K is 4096 x 2160 and 1080 is 1920 X 1080 but can Premiere Pro who recognize and reduces the footprint of the clip in a timeline/sequence of 1080 previously defined 4K.

(Of course when ALL the clips on the timeline are 4K or ALL clips are 1080, the sizing problem does not exist.  The problem happens when I mix the two.

First Pro CC 2015.2 version, Windows 7 Professional

    One way to do it:

In your current project, select all of your source of 4K in the project Panel clips and once selected, go to the menu Clip > video Options > and select the frame.

Now they are all sized to the chronology of the HD.

If you want this behavior on future projects, go to Preferences > general and check "Default scale to frame size".

Another way is to leave the default scale to the size of the frame not controlled and when to place 4K clips on a timeline HD, control (on the right) click on the clip and choose the value size of the frame.

The difference is that with scale to the size of the image, material 4K watch scale 100% when filling out the HD picture, then with the value to the size of the image, the clip shows scale of 50% - which is much more useful, if you plan to enlarge or to reposition the image.
