ZV5000 - want to get the BIOS update but do not have Windows
Hello
just got my trusty zv5000 AMD out of the closet and intend to play with Linux on it. At the moment there no bone because the HD has not, although I noticed that the BIOS is a former F.21 and would get to you last F.35. Unfortunately, it seems that I can only do the update of the BIOS if I am running Windows.
Wondering if there is a bootable ISO or floppy image available that I can use to do the update. I prefer not to have to locate a copy of Windows, install on a new HD just to update the BIOS.
Thanks for any help on this

Thank you, I finally understood how to do the BIOS update without installing Windows:
- Copy the executable update BIOS for USB
- Connect a portable flash drive
- Power laptop and Windows 7 install cd boot
- go into the Windows Recovery Tools command prompt
- change directory to the USB player
- Run the executable file
- Utility to update the BIOS works well

I have a MBP of 2009 end. I updated the material to 8 GB of ram with an SSD of 240gig. I want to run the new OSX, but is not on the list approved for the update. Anyone know why?
It is a decision that was made by Apple. El Capitan is the newest OSX that will support a 2009 MBP.
This is not uncommon. My 2006 MBP came with Tiger, but is limited to OSX Snow Leopard.
Old hardware ends up by becoming obsolete with newer technology.
Ciao.

When I save an illustrator SVG format file, I want to get the SVG code but open Illustrator Adobe Flash Builder, I just want to open a browser, NO FLASH BUILDER, how do I do that?
You say 'illustrator opens Flash Builder'. So what is she doing?
* When you save
* When you try to open it from the inside of Illustrator (open in the file Menu)
* When you try to open it with double click
* Something else?

I try to install the two updates, they do not have continually it says error unknown 66A?
Hello
Is update fails with error code?
I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
Try a clean boot, and then try to install the updates.
How to solve problems using the boot in Vista:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: once you have completed troubleshooting, please be sure to try step 7 to reset the computer as usual.Method 2:
If it still fails, try to download and install the update manually by using the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/default.aspx
If there are still problems, install the update, reset the Windows Update components
Reset the Windows Update components: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

Satellite A300 - after the BIOS update I can not install two OS
Hello everyone:
I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300-247 with Windows Vista Home Premium.
Then I formatted it and divided the hard (320 GB) into 6 partitions and installed Windows Vista and Windows XP on drive C to drive D after having changed the SATA controller mode in the BIOS for compatibility. The computer worked well with 2 operating systems. However, when I updated the BIOS to version 1.9, two operating systems stop working and one of them can be installed: XP can be installed when SATA controller mode is placed on compatibility and Vista can be installed only when the SATA is changed to AHCI.
Is there is no explanation of what past? And can I install operating systems 2 together again?
Thank you
Hello
First of all, I doubt that this has something to do with the BIOS update. I think that after the BIOS update HARD drive mode has been changed from AHCI to compatibility and therefore the OS didn't start.
Anyway, in compatibility mode you can install Vista and XP without the SATA drivers. This should t be a problem.
But do you know the difference between compatibility and AHCI? AHCI mode is faster and therefore I would recommend this mode.
Like you said Vista you can already install in AHCI mode and for XP, you need Intel Storage Manager. This package includes the SATA drivers you need and here is a step by step guide to use these drivers:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htmLast but not least, you can install 2 OS. You can do what you want! ;)

Satellite L450D PSLY5E freeze during the BIOS update - now does not turn on
Hi guys,.
I have a Satellite L450D. I recently tried (unfortunately) update the BIOS after a clean installation, because the FN key no longer working to bring up the toolbar.
Winphlash program froze near the end and the system remained frozen for a good half-hour. The only way out was to remove the battery (as I know in any case).
Now, the system will light with battery in or out and plugged in. I guess I've damaged the hard drive or the card mother or something.
Is it possible to fix? Or is it?
Thank you very much for your help.
BTW - I know now not to update the BIOS unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary and well advised.
Joey
> I guess I've damaged the hard drive or the card mother or something.
The disk HARD isn t damage but the Rom module where the BIOS is stored was not flashed properly.
I guess that this happened because the flash procedure was interrupted.I'm not sure if this can be fixed perhaps the service guy could flash the ROM module with special disc of crisis of the BIOS.
I keep fingers crossed

Recently, my son plugged his headphones Turtle Beach X 12 in the front USB and my computer's audio input. Since he took the helmet, I have had no audio of my Logitech speakers. When I click the speaker icon to get out of trouble, I get this message: "material changes may not have been detected." When I go to my control panel to manage my audio devices, I get a message that says no audio device is installed. I tried the simple things like the removal and reinstallation of my speakers and tries a recovery to date before my son his headphones plugged the computer, but those who have not yet worked. I have to uninstall and reinstall my sound card?
Hello
Which could be necessary, but first, first try the software road. Try the steps in this tutorial and see if that solves the problem: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-7&v1h=win8tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1 .
Keep me posted and let me know how you fare.

Satellite A30 - after the BIOS update I can not install any OS
Hey everybody
I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite A30 PSA33E. I update my old BIOS and 1.7 and now I have a problem: I can not install any OS on my PC because it stops whenever I try to install. After 50 tests, I installed a Windows SP2, but my PC turns off always.
My CPU is at 100% after I launch mozilla so I guess my problem is the BIOS. I try to install v1.8 BIOS and is not working and I get an error (not compatible with the installed BIOS)
Where can I find the 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 ROM BIOS? Can someone help me please?
THXThe latest version of the BIOS should not cause this kind of thing. Have reset you the BIOS to its default settings?
Have you checked the CPU radiator for an accumulation of dust? A can of compressed Air can help remove dust through the vents.
What was the reason that you updated the BIOS, in the first place? Had previous problems with the system?

After the BIOS update DVD driver not reading not DVD - Sat A80
Hello
I have a Satellite A80-131 and after bios update (latest version 2.5) by windows update procedure, my DVD do not read DVD media more. It is possible to play CD but not a DVD media.
Can I reinstall the old bios? Can I reinstall the firmware?
Thank you
Ronai LisboaHello
Strange!
On the Toshiba driver page, you will find also 2 Firmware updates.
Check which drive you unit and try to update the firmware.
Also try installing the DVD ram driver.PS: It is not possible to roll back the BIOS or install the first version of the BIOS on the device. Only the Toshiba service partner may DOWNGRADE the BIOS
