  I have a new SRW2016 and after updating from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 firmware I get an error trying to connect.  I use Firefox with IETab and the error message is:

  I tried to use Internet Explorer, but the status bar displays "error on page".

  Well, I was about to do the update with hypertermial/xmodem, when I thought I should check the browser interface.  And now, it's working now (even if it's really slow).

• Port Mirroring mit SRW2016

  Liebe Foren-user,

  ICH möchte like einen Port Switch SRW2016 "monitors" (second later mirror-Port). Dazu habe ich einen Rechner mit und tcpdump aufgesetzt, diesen a debian Port einen angeschlossen (den probe-Port). As soon as ich über das Web Interface Linksys-switches switch unter meines-> Port Mirroring den mirror-Port auf den spiegeln tired (both Directions) Port probe, ist tot practical der probe-Port. ICH kann vom Debian-Rechner aus nichts mehr pingen (auch nicht den Linksys Switch), er kriegt keinen release DCHP mehr und er ist auch nicht mehr aus dem Netzwerk reached normal. Konnte damit ich ja notfalls leben, however scheint überhaupt kein mehr auf dem probe-Port anzukommen traffic. Tcpdump shows mir keinen traffic one.

  I have recently bought me a SRW2016 to secure my network with VLAN. But my problem is, I have about 0 experience on how to set up.

  I painted a picture of how I wan't the network to look like.

  What I want is:
  VLAN2 = workstations, etc..
  vlan3 = wifi, xbox, etc.
  vlan4 = development

  Gateway is also running bind9/dns and the DHCP server on the network
  Gateway supports 802. 1 q on two NICS

  It's a basic configuration.

  You dedicate each port on the SRW one VLAN specific. You configure this port access mode and make it member of this VLAN specific. All traffic on this port will be up next to this VLAN.

  The port for the 802. 1 q, gateway is configured in trunk mode. Member of all do your VLAN. All the VLAN except the default VLAN will be 802. 1 q tagged. The default VLAN will remain untagged. Configure your gateway in the same way.

  That should do it. Make sure that your gateway is running a DHCP server for each of your VLANs, if you want to use the DHCP protocol and make sure that each VLAN contains a single IP subnet.

• Problems with SRW2048 and SRW2016

  We have sold dozens or even hundreds of SRW2016 16 port switches and a few SRW2048 units.  For the money, they seem like a lot of things, but from a reliability point of view, we are at our wit's end.

  We're constantly visits on-site to see that all network problems because these units are dead.

  We do not yet have one of these units in service which has not been replaced at this stage.

  It now lasts for a year or two, but as an example;  Monday, we made 2 visits on-site and found 2 dead switch SRW2016 separate clients to the point where only the ports 7,8,15 and 16 would be illuminated.

  Yesterday, we had another problem of frantic network with a SRW2048 to another customer where we could only transfer data at about 78 KB/sec on any network port.  Even if I prefer to use the latest firmware on these switches, the upgrade has not helped at all.  We were forced to replace the switch entirely.  It was our 4' th 48-port switch Linksys that failed last year.

  We have new SRW2048 and SRW2016 units and use them to replace these bad units, but it becomes uncontrollable.

  It's not like these switches are in difficult environments, the controlled environment rooms are more and still die.

  Just curious if it's just our bad luck or if it is a subscription issue too with all the world?

  Well, what I've seen before - on the SRW2048 specifically - your problem, it's that they are managed switches that have a default IP address assigned to them (192.168.1.254 I think). The problem arises when you have a managed switch on the network because they have the two 192.168.1.254 - and if you understand ARP, then you can see the problem. The two switches are trying to find the mac address of 192.168.1.254 and they respond together, add to this PLEASE, and you have one heck of a loop and a mess. A quick opening of Wireshark and you will see that almost all traffic is consumed with ARP queries for these IP addresses.

  To take care of this, simply reassign the IP addresses of switches so that they are not the same, and you should be all set.

  ICH sitze just an meinem first Projekt mit Diadem 2015 (64-bit): die Uberarbeitung einer representation design von measurement mit einem report. First wurden die Daten einfach in eine Aufenthaltsraume.man report-Datei eingespeist, ich lasse jetzt alles über ein Script ruler und befullen. Dear sind ein paar questions aufgetreten, die durch die ich Hilfe und nicht abgegeben kann (oder ich bin zu doof?) examples.

  Mein problem Mitarbeiter sich folgendermassen dar:

  ICH use ein selbstgeschriebenes um zu suchen und ins Datenportal zu charge measurement use.

  Die Suche nach Kanalgruppen (eSearchChannelGroup) works procedures Datafinder before gut. DAS verschieben der Daten geladenen ins Datenportal und dem upload einer Kanalgruppen mit ihren Akbulak geht auch.

  Doch wenn ich nun eine ebony weiter nach Kanalen (eSearchChannel) suchen und steige Creek, there are problem. Also die Suchergebnisse, die mir im Navigator displaying werden sind i.O.. Doch wenn sharp results ins nun Datenportal loading werden, wird für alle channels (results) nur eine Kanalgruppe erzeugt d.h. alle channels (aus different measurements) werden in eine Kanalgruppe gesteckt.

  BSP. :

  2 measurements to 15 channels

  Nun zwei Kanalgruppen erzeugt werden, die Friday 15 channels beinhalten sollen.

  Momentan wird mir nur eine Kanalgruppe erzeugt mit 30 Kanalen und mit dem Kanalgruppenname der first measurement.
