• HP Touchsmart 310 Black Screen

  I have a HP Touchsmart 310. Yesterday when I turned it on, I got the HP logo, and then the screen went black. I followed the steps of troubleshooting on other items of forum and reinstall the CPU and RAM. I got the video until I went to bed. When I woke up, the screen was black. I turned it off, turned it back, and the screen is still black. The power led is lit in blue, not flashing. I can hear the computer starts, but I don't see anything.

  I also tried to remove, press the power button / stop for five seconds, plug back. Still no display.

  I also tried hitting F10 to enter the BIOS, F5, the whole sequence to reset the BIOS by default. That no longer works.

• 3007WFP-HC does not work above 1280 x 800

  I'm putting in place two of these monitors but cannot get above resolution 1280 x 800. When I go to set my screen resolution, I have the opportunity to go up to 2560 x 1600, but when I select anything above 1280 x 800, monitors just flash of color bars.

  I use a NVidia NVS 310, two DisplayPort / Dual-Link DVI-D adaptersand two cables Dual - Link DVI - D (Dell NG032 to be exact). I installed the driver for the monitor (R222148). And verified that I have the latest driver for my video card is installed.

  Out of curiosity, I tried to use a DVI Single-Link cable and my screen resolution options changed so they maxed out at 1280 x 800. In addition, another strange thing is that, despite the possibility of going up to 2560 x 1600, the "recommended" tag is 1280 x 800.

  * The only resolutions supported by this nine year old monitor is 1280 x 800 or 2560 x 1600
  * Computer and/or video card with a DisplayPort on or Mini-DisplayPort will do only 1280 x 800, using any combination of wiring for the DVI converter 3007WFP-HC-D DL in the port
  * All HDCP content do it 1280 x 800
  * For 2560 x 1600, computer and/or video cards on the port and the cable should be DL DVI - D

  Even if the NVS 310 supports the conversion of DP adapter DVI - D DL, the 3007WFP-HC does not work. You need to remove the NVS 310 and install a video card with DVI - D DL dual output port.

• macOS Sierra intermittently detects only 2nd screen at 800 x 600 when you reconnect

  At work, I use a mid 2014 MacBook Pro retina 15 inch connected to two screens Thunderbolt.  One of the screens Thunderbolt is chained to each other through stroke, and then connect to with love at first sight.

  Normally throughout my day I disconnect and using my computer laptop away from my desk, but when I go back to my office, I usually use my MBP with the lid closed and just use both screens Thunderbolt.

  Despite this historically configuration works fine, after a senior officer to macOS Sierra 10.12 I met a problem when my laptop wakes up after his Thunderbolt poster.

  A screen will boot correctly at 2560 x 1440, but another display will not work at 800 x 600.  If I try and manually adjust the settings of resolution for screens, I can only select 800 x 600 for posting done.

  The MBP has two ports Thunderbolt, and if I change the port on which the pair of screens is two connected, the forced swaps of 800 x 600 monitor.  Anyway, once the problem starts, I'm stuck with an abnormal low resolution screens.

  If I disconnect the two screens, one of them, then reconnect their power cycle, I still have the issue.

  If I open or close the lid of the MBP, screen MBP works at normal resolution, but I still have the issue.

  The only solution I've found now is to restart my MBP.  Then the screens work normally.

  So far, this question seems intermittent, but I met it 4 times this week since the upgrade.

  Apple has my MBP 2012 to replace the logic board.  I received an email saying they fix the video problem but they want $310 to repair my wifi and a problem with my LCD.  I had no other problems with my laptop except those relating directly to the logic board.  Can someone explain what problems I have noticed with the wifi and LCD?  I was without my laptop for a while so I was happy to finally it gives back, and instead received an email saying more things broke.

• FireWire 800, USB 3.0

  I have an older iMac that has a Firewire 800 port and no USB 3.0.

  I would like to use the Firewire 800 port and convert it into a USB 3.0 with some sort of connection.

  This way I can take advantage of the most recent items USB 3.0...

  doubt firewire800 is slower then usb3, but many usb3 devices would probably work with just more slow usb2

  I hope that you deleted the files of the application, rather than by going to the library in the Finder (which is risky).

  Libraries usually get significant because the import settings are defined to create optimized media automatically during import. The second reason is that rendering files accumulate over time. Both optimized and restore files can be deleted safely.

  If you already have trashed your optimized and make files, look inside the bin to see if it needs to be empty.

• Canon MX 310 connected but do not print and shows not connected

  updated iMac os x el capitan (10.11.4) and now impossible to print with Canon pixma MX 310 - get the message not connected while it appears in my dock and shows point to print failed.  The error log is full of messages and doesn't help me at all.

  Unfortunately, Canon did not write all the drivers for v10.11 compatibility El Capitan. See here.
