Canon MX 310 connected but do not print and shows not connected

updated iMac os x el capitan (10.11.4) and now impossible to print with Canon pixma MX 310 - get the message not connected while it appears in my dock and shows point to print failed.  The error log is full of messages and doesn't help me at all.

How can I get my Canon printer/scanner is working again.

Unfortunately, Canon did not write all the drivers for v10.11 compatibility El Capitan. See here.

But what you can do is to try a reset. Make sure that the printer is turned on.

Open System Preferences > Printers and Scanners and select the print tab.

Right click or control your printer on the left, then click on: reset the printing system

When she did try printing.

I want my wireless printer to work on my macbook, but I can't. I tried setting up on the HP utility to connect with the router as the mac and printer on but it does not work! It indicates that the download was successful, but the device was not reachable. I don't really know where to go from here and any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey @miriamnimmo,

Welcome to the Forums of HP, I would be happy to help you! I understand that you have the printer set up on your network, but the software says that the device is not accessible. Sometimes the IPv6 may interfere with the connection, and I suggest we disable that before anything else. On the fornt of the printer Panel, scroll down to and then select Wireless. In the wireless Menu, select Advanced settings, then IPv6 and.

Now we are going to let the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router), then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. When you say 'LAN', are you referring to the network or you try to share the printer on the network?

How is the printer connected? (Ethernet/WiFi)

If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

HP has several Officejet Pro 8600 series.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

In addition, if you are still having problems try the steps in this guide, HP printers - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 7).

  • Canon Pixma iP1500 printer and it connect not gives an error code 20

I have a canon Pixma iP1500 printer and it does not connect gives an error code 20?

    Hello

    1. If it works much earlier?

    2. did you make any changes before this problem?

    3. What is the exact message you received?

I suggest to go through these steps and check.

    Method 1:

This is due to the UAC. Disable UAC will help because UAC prompts the user the permission to continue, the time required to get the question and answer that cause the printer to turn it off.

If you do not want to activate UAC you can call EnablePrinter when the capture of the EnablePre() event generated by the driver.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

    Method 2:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/printer-problems-in-Windows

    Method 3:

Uninstall the printer driver, download the latest driver on the manufacturer's website, install on your computer and check.

Step 1: you can download the latest driver from the link below http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_ip_series/pixma_ip1500#DriversAndSoftware

Step 2: Uninstall the device from Device Manager driver.

    a. right-click on the icon my computer

    b. Select manage from the menu.

    c. Select Device Manager in system tools that are listed in the resulting display.

    d. right-click on the device.

    e. click on the driver tab.

    f. click on uninstall.

    g. restart the computer

Step 3: Installed the downloaded printer driver and check out them.

  • HP Laserjet M452dn: M452dn Ethernet connected but do not print

    Win10 Pro x 64.

Printer connects / impressions via USB but not via a direct Ethernet connection or through router.  Connection to printer Ethernet is not but installation disc is located by HP print and Scan by IP addfress doctor. Doctor says software not installed then DLs and installs the software - but still does not print.  Uninstalled and did the all over again: ditto. If again, doctor without uninstalling it (still) says not installed software - although it said it was installed before I ran it again.

Router/printer Ethernet connection is good (fire port on) and the IP displayed on the printer screen, so I guess that the connection of the cable Ethernet/is OK. Network/print sharing enabled residential group. Utility of Windows/HP ID troubleshooting any problems.

    Something else I could try.

    Thank you

    Monk

Hello @Hmonk the printer has two ways to be connected but we really recommend use one at a time if you are going to perform a network first installation you want to make sure that you have an IP address from the printer connect the network cable to the printer room will get internet brand of course, on the port on the back of the printer when you have connected cable has a green and the orange light and then go to the menu reports on the printer and print a configuration report right on the 1st page under product settings, you will find IPV4 you must subsequently make the installation at this time where everything you want to make sure, is that the IP address of its different then 0.0.0.0 or 169.254.XXX.XXX since these combinations indicates that the printer its does not properly connect to the network

  • C6150 connected but does not print

Printer fine until 2 weeks ago. Will not print. Uninstalled then reinstalled complete software and drivers from the HP site.  Connected to the wireless access point - can see both the printer and the laptop. Said diagnosis connected page, shows wireless details.  Cannot print the test page or download the exe from the HP utility to find the problem.  I also have HP all in one driver.  Don't know what the problem is.  Product HP screen printer is connected (get the big green check mark) and shows ink levels, etc.  I'm on W8 - is this a windows problem? Should I upgrade to W8.1? Or I think once again uninstall and start again.

Well that's working and really do not know why, but I think it has to do with Norton, I got a problem to update.  I couldn't run same HP exe files. I was finally able to use the diagnosis exe and it worked finally.

I again that the IP address has been correct and everything was good. Somehow interrupted all Norton!
