10.7.5 upgrade 10.9 (or higher)

Hi, I'm running on an OS X 10.7.5 and upgrade to a 10.9 or above an application I want to download. How is the best way to do it? I have 12 GB of memory.

Log in to the App Store and download 10.11.5.

Apple has removed the 10.9.5 and 10.10.5 from the App Store.

I don't want to go on the road to cloud subscription.

You are eligible for all updates Lightroom 5. The current version is 5.7.1. You will be eligible for the additional updates to 5 Lightroom that could be released. However, when Lightroom 6 came out, if you want you can buy a version upgrade that normally sells in the U.S. for $79.95.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - PSAAAE CPU upgrade

    Hi Toshiba,

I have an old * Satellite Pro A100 * _PSAAAE-type_ and I would like to upgrade the processor. I have seen that is 479, and I found that there are the Core 2 Duo on this plug. The 945GM chipset supports Core 2 Duo, but I don't know if my laptop BIOS supports these CPU.

    Someone can confirm or not?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

In General, upgrading the CPU is not recommended.
Of course, you can use the processors that are supported by the chipset, but the BIOS compatibility is another story. No one can tell if your laptop would be stable after this upgrade due to the higher heat dissipation.

But I read in this forum that some guys have upgraded the processor and the laptop still works

  • Desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8m: graphics (or other) to upgrade?

Hi all, new to the forum.

A week or two ago, I thought that I had an advance here (TAPI) on my problem, but now I can't find the thread despite several searches.  My apologies in advance if I'm posting in the right place or not by the rules of the forum. (try!)

    So here go us:

I'm not much more than a PC gamer, but there is a new game, I just _have_ to play. My machine is now four years old and has problems (I'm naïve about computers, but I strongly suspect that it is the graphics card):

    My almost-grille-pain:

    • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    • Processor core AMD FX-6100 six [3.3 GHz, 6 MB L2/8 MB of Cache L3]
    • 6 GB OF RAM
    • 1 GB DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6450 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]
    • Audio beats

    Game Minimums:

    • Windows 7 64 bit
    • Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core 2.6 GHz 4700 E
    • 4 GB of Ram
    • 1 GB ATI Radeon HD 5770, 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or better
    • Direct X Version 11
    • 45 GB of available space
    • Map its compatible DirectX

    Recommended game:

    • Windows 7 64 bit
    • 3 GHz Quad Core
    • 8 GB RAM
    • 2GB 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or better, ATI Radeon HD 7970
    • 45 GB of available space
    • Map its compatible DirectX

I got the game to run (clunkily) until the beginning of the tutorial, but I'm to the point where it's unplayable. Speed reading/erratic graphs, and my mouse pointer is invisible. An invisible pointer was tolerable for a while as I could "guesstimate" its position and eventually get to the place that I had to click, but now it doesn't work at all. Besides, it's no funny.

    Issues related to the:

    1. Is the problem of the graphics as I suspect, or is - ability that something else (or both)?
    2. An upgrade can be made at my machine at a reasonable cost (say ~ $250 or less)
    3. More information is needed?

I have the game tight until the lowest "computer application" (I don't know the tech talk) parameters, but it did not help.

For those interested, the game is 2 XCOM. I've posted on the forums of 2K and got some advice, but wanted other opinions.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Rob

I agree that your video card is the weakest component in the computer.  (There are several things to consider when you upgrade a video card: 1) power required to carry out. (2) the length of the card.  It must match with room for a good airflow). and (3) the BIOS of the motherboard.  The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is 300W.  Most of the newer video cards require at least 400W runs correctly, with the exception of some EVGA cards that State a minimum of 300W.  However, these cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released October 19, 2011.  I suggest to contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842) for help with your choice of cards.

If you need to upgrade the PSU, I highly recommend Corsair products.  I normally recommend at least 500W; 600W would be even better.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer and not a place to save money.

I think that 8 GB of memory is more than enough, and the processor is fine.  Another upgrade that would give you a major performance increase is an SSD.  Following recommendations of Crucial memory.  They make great products for OEM computers.  Also, when they recommend it they guarantee that it works.

  • Can I get a copy used XP to upgrade to Windows ME?

I inherited a computer with ME installed.

I can get the upgrade XP on Ebay to get it is feasible but want to know if the EMPLOYEE improve copies there will be problems with Microsoft. I don't want to buy a system that will not be considered legal.

First of all, you cannot be sure that even XP will work on the old ME computer.  You must inspect before you perform an upgrade.  Secondly, I highly recommend buying ANY operating system of ANY site selling at auction as counterfeits abound.  Third, I certainly would not buy a XP operating system to address used.  If the disk has been used, you can be sure that the product key has been used as well.  If so, you would not be able to activate XP once installed.

    Hello

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > see what Service Pack you have installed here and what little Vista version: 32-bit or 64-bit.

You should have had Vista SP1 installed a couple of years.

"Windows Vista Service Pack 1 five language standalone (KB936330)" 32-bit:

I just bought a desktop computer HP a6614f during Thanksgiving. I think to make the games a bit on that by replacing a better on the original GeForce 6150 SE video card. But the problem with it's low supply of office. Can someone give me please a few suggestions on the choice of the right PSU such as specific size or a model if I want to move power around 600W? The Office requires that all special size of power supply? Also, what are some decent game video cards that correspond to this desktop computer? Thank you very much

    Hi, CF

According to the specifications of the system, here are the power supply provided with the PC.

Power supply is any standard ATX PSU:
    maximum power output - 300Watts

    Integrated graphic card GeForce 6150SE

The power of the power supply depends on the Graphis card that you could be upgraded. All the high-end gaming graphics card have a specific power supply requirement. According to the requirement of the PS of the graphics card upgrade pls supply.

The dimensions or the PSU form factor that fits in the PC appears on a lablel on the power supply.

Please open the side panel of the Tower of the PC and look for on the label of the PSU form factor. Depending on the form factor of the PSU, buy the power of the power supply requires that supports PS graphics card requirement.

Graphics GeForce 9000 all recommended for gGaming. However, GeForce 9600, 9800 are the best in the business.

  • Is it possible to upgrade a dedicated GPU (R5 M335)

Does anyone have experience of a dedicated to a Dell laptop GPU upgrade?

    I have a series of 15, Dell Inspiron 5559

    16 GB OF RAM

    I7 - 6550 processor

Integrated Intel + R5 M335 Radeon graphics cards

I would like to be able to upgrade the Radeon card if possible, although a few hours Googling, it looks like it is usually quite something difficult to do with laptops, or even not at all. However, many items are several years old I wonder if having a laptop model 2016 makes things a little easier at all?

I'm not really interested in a convoluted external GPU put in place only if I can replace the internal card.

If it's possible, I guess there are limits on what kind of card I could replace by in terms of available power, the speed of the processor, the memory, the heat transfer, etc.

    Thank you very much

The only current generation of laptops that can be upgraded is desktop replacement high range fan systems that use processors of office half-bridge and PCIe (MXM) graphics cards.

Here is the service manual for your model: Inspiron 15 5000 Series Service Manual

You will find a picture of the motherboard on page 67. As you can see, the CPU or the graphics card can be used. The two are permanently soldered to the motherboard. Most laptops are fairly easy to work, but incorporate little socketed processors and MXM graphics plus. Unfortunately, this practice becomes the norm among most of the laptop manufacturers. With the exception of the Alienware 18, all Dell and Alienware product lines now use this built-in component design.

Only storage (disks) and modules of memory can be upgraded on your system.

  • EBS 11.5.9 to 12.1.1 upgrade

    Hello

We are in the process of up-gradation of ebs 11.5.9 to 12.1.1 on solaris 9. our database is 9.2.0.8. Mentioned in the document of high-gradation of oracle, we can pass directly to EBS 11.5.9 base to 12.1.1 and also mentioned to upgrade the database to 10.2.0.2 atleast, for this we must apply cu2 on 11.5.9.

can upgrade us oracle 9.2.0.8 for 11.1.0.7 database directly.
as we have just completed rapidwiz installation phase.

can anyone provide clear DB 9.2.0.8 to 11.1.0.7 upgrade steps during the high-gradation of EBS 11.5.9 to 12.1.1

    Thank you
    Jean Philippe

According to the upgrade doc (guidelines preparation of database for an E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Upgrade [761570.1 ID]), the upgrade paths that are available are (A path or path B), then I think you need to upgrade to 10 gr 2 as stated in the RFSO. Once you have completed the update of R12, you can improve the R12 to 11 GR 1 material/11 GR 2.

  • is firefox 16 the last ff for microsoft xp sp3?

    V16.0.2 FF (nonrepeating not v18 or v20)
several plugins (some classics, see below) and additional components (noscript, etc..)

    problems
    (1) cannot upgrade v16 to v18 or any more recent version;
    Download and install v18 and restart ff does not have any change, if not reset all options and parameters; I have tried several times in the month;
    (2) Although the automatic checking of new versions is unchecked, to launch it often starts in default mode (all resets, history delete by default start page, etc.) as if being a standalone upgrade/renewal to a higher version;

    Could not find any documentation or contribution, if not for xp sp1 or 2 v12 - 13;

    theory

    solution
    What are the solutions?
If the above mentioned theory is true, what can I do?
at what point is ff OS?

Thank you to all the foxes

No, Firefox is still supported on WinXP SP3.

If Firefox pass by itself or by the use of help > about Firefox, it is best to download and install the latest version of your self. My advice is to uninstall the old version before installing the new version, but do not select the option in the routine of uninstall to remove the customizations and data of Firefox. By default Firefox keeps all your data and customizations, and the new version will automatically collect your data and your customizations.

  • Example: Pavilion a230n: replace the CD rom drive in Hp Pavilion a230n

I just saved a Paviliona230n to a sad end. He dumped the parts of the body, but I had an old Millennium that I could upgrade to XP or higher. I put two Cd-rom drives in and may not know how to do it without removing the AMD CPU and fan - something I am unwilling to do without instructions.

Are they cut down and how I unplug safely so I can insert the CD rom drives.

I guess I'd the drive readable than plugging in the cable (top) master and the rewritable as the slave.  OR?

I think I already exaggerated the bit of memory because the machine seems to have an a GB of memory and I put both of them in. Seems to work.

Then I need to get drivers especially for the ethernet connection.

More important is the method to remove the block of memory to AMD. Of course, I don't want to mess that up.

Just for interest: the hard drive with the millennial system OP is flaky. I think it was the program, but when I tried to install XP as an 'upgrade' (to save the programs and files) it has failed twice. Only when I did a full install worked.

Then I'll have to check the integrity of the player itself and I doubt that my disk wipe dbam (boot and nuke) work on it. He also did a great job on checking the hard drive before installing anything. It was not recognized by Millennium.

    TIA

I also have a blog, google more on plants. The plants were at the beginning of this need to find a computer equipped with a 3.5 inch diskettes. Years ago I had an excellent program of Gardenware (plus 250.00) to create labels. I made a library of 600 point of my plants with descriptions.

Win 3.1 now. I can't even install it again because it is the innovative and he needs a key to unlocking that the company no longer for older versions. Nothing else can read or open the backup disk library... so I downloaded a Viewer freefile and hope that it will work on this subject. I hope on the XP version. If this isn't the case, I'll have to install a floppy drive on one of my computers in Win 7.

I found this to be beyond comprehension. If you're selling a car, you have to keep the parts for it. I don't see that the developer of this program may not have kept the unlock codes for all older versions. Certainly don't makes me want to buy their NEW release for 199.00.

If this Viewer freefile unfold all I can do is get a mobile 3.5 floppy drive with a USB port and plug it into another computer of Nurserymans to see if the new version can read.

HP Envy 15-j001sr (E3Y72EA): in RAID or AHCI mode? I buy this laptop and planning to upgrade to SSD.
Upgrade advice will be highly appreciated.
What is better: to clone the HDD SSD before initial start-up
Or install Windows8 first, bring a USB recovery set, then make Windows8 recovery after the installation of the Virgin SSD in?
Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hello

It uses a single disc HARD must be the AHCI mode:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03846066

You can configure it as you want, including create whole recovery dics and THEN clone the disk SSD. After that trade them. This will save time and you can be sure that the rollback/uninstallation less pain if necessary.

  • Administrator user accounts: how to move my administrator account to the elevated privileges?

How to upgrade my account administrator high?

There is no 'high' administrator account (except perhaps the top and you should never use for day-to-day administrative tasks - activate only when there is NO other choice).  You can have special rights granted in a standard user, but an administrator has all.  An administrator in Vista is not all rights and access as we did in XP and that is just the way Vista was designed - it's more control over permissions.

What specifically do you want to do that you can't because you don't are not "high"?

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry OS Version availability of the PhoneListener and the IPA PhoneLog

My company has just heard of available developer program the API object are currently available in the Blackberry operating system / JDE / API for application, we would like to develop and online documentation indicates that they have been available since V operating system 4.0.0 / JDE / API. I am writing to verify that this is indeed the case that these APIs is available in other than V 5.0.0 and upward, the latest version of the software.

I just want to check that these APIs is available, for example for all versions of OS and all versions of device Blackberry, without restriction, since V4.0.0, such that implies the message that I received from the developer program (one RIM named Mike Kirkup) over the weekend.

For example, I think that we develop in the Office of a device Blackberry Curve running V4.3 or V4.4 OS; are these these APIs (PhoneListener and PhoneLog) available for this device and this version of the operating system?  Of course, we will expand the OS and devices supported for our application, but we must start somewhere and hoped someone could verify exactly what OS / SDE / versions of the API have these APIs specific to them, and if there are restrictions on device for them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Bill Mertka

    Hello and welcome.

If you heard of Mike Kirkup, you can believe it.  He is a good guy.

And if, as you have seen, the docs say

    "Since x.x.x JDE.

    or

    "Since the BlackBerry API x.x.x"

x.x.x then identifies the level that the feature was introduced.

Moreover, there is no OS 4.4 and the 8300 curves initially provided with 4.2.2 and can be upgraded to 4.5, which later are equipped as standard.

As a simple rule, all screen color BlackBerry devices are or can be upgraded 4.0 or higher.  All trackball devices have 4.2 or higher.  Thus, any application that is running with 4.0 can run on almost any device that's out there.  I say any device out there, but I'm sure someone will say they know of a very old BB always in service...
