• IOS 10.02: Phone/contact App suspended for a few seconds

  I'll have a problem in which whenever I go through contacts in the phone app or change any contact then iphone more 6s will hang for 2-3 seconds. I have IOS 10.0.2 will fix this problem but its not yet solved. My observation is that every time the application attempts to fetch/update of data in icloud then I'm having this problem.

  Thank you for using communities Support from Apple.  From your post, I understand that your phone app seems to become temporarily unresponsive when you edit your contacts. I'd be happy to help you!

  I have some troubleshooting I want to recommend. Before you begin, please create a backup of your iPhone, by following the steps described here: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

  Once your backup has been created, try the following steps, in order. Test after each step completed, stopping when the problem is resolved.
  

  1. Force to close the phone application, then restart it and return to the Contacts section. You can find a way to force close apps here: force a nearby app on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  2. Restart the iPhone, as detailed here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  3. Restore iPhone to factory settings, following this article: use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings

     Once the restore is complete, configure the iPhone as a new device (i.e. without using your backup, at least temporarily). You can register in iCloud iMessage, FaceTime and iTunes and the App Store using your Apple ID.

     If adding contacts does not cause the application to phone to become unresponsive, you can restore your backup by following the steps described here: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

  Yesterday, I downloaded IOS 10 for my iPhone 6.

  When I now phone calls, others cannot hear me on the phone. I can hear the person I talk to a fine, but they don't hear me. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, is it possible to fix it?

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that since the update to iOS 10, the other appellants are unable to hear you when you use your iPhone 6. Understanding can be the most important part of a phone call. I want to assure you that others are able to hear you clearly.

  I recommend first restart your iPhone. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Follow the steps below to restart, if necessary.

  1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
  3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

  If the problem persists, test the microphones on your iPhone and follow the "Get help" section in the link below.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

On previous versions of iOS, it was possible to 'own' apps that seemed to offer a space or you could try to download any movie you have not enough memory for, which would again make the space.   I see from your post that since downloading iOS 10, your iPhone isn't much space left. This is even after the removal of the hundreds of photos and other files on your device. I've just upgraded to iOS 10 myself, and I understand the importance of having enough available storage. I'm happy to help you to help you find the best resolution for this.

  Please use the article check the storage on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to see a list of your applications and how much storage each used, specifically, these sections:
  

  Use your iOS device to check its storage

  Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage management.

  You will see a list of your applications, and how much storage space each one uses. For more information about its use, tap the app in the list. Cached data and temporary data could not considered as use.

  

  Depending on the application, you may be able to delete its content, or to remove the app and all of its contents. If your device is almost full and iOS can free up space on your device, you could get a nearly full storage alert. If you see this alert, you will need to withdraw some less-used items.

  

  Use iTunes to check the storage on your iOS device

  1. Open iTunes on your computer.
  2. Connect your device to your computer.
  3. In iTunes, select your device. You will see a bar that shows how much storage your iOS content uses, divided by type of content.
  4. Move your mouse over a type of content, as well as other applications, to find more information:
     

  Here is a list of the types of content on your iOS device and what each type includes:

• Birthday calendar reproduced hundreds of times on iOS 10

  Having recently upgraded to iOS 10, I see that my calendar app has duplicated the calendar of birthdays of hundreds of times - on the Facebook group and my default calendar host group. He has also reproduced my default calendar of hundreds of times (see photos below).

  

  The default calendar House is quite easy to get rid of. I just press "Edit" and remove each one (which is annoyingly slow and tedious, but possible). However the 'Birthdays' calendars can be deleted or removed in this way. There is no option to delete or merge them.

  I have restored the iOS from my phone on iTunes, hoping he would remove (or at least merge) hundreds of Birthday calendar duplicates. However, after restoring my phone with a recent backup to iCloud software, duplicates are always there.

  Is this a bug of iOS 10? If not, is there a way to fix this?

  Here are two things to try:

  1 reset the iPhone.  Press and hold the power and home together for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

  2 is full your storage space?  Check the settings > general > storage & use iCloud > Storage manage and make sure you have absolutely not less 10% total storage of your iPhone for free.
