10 windows and secret spy...

Then, this nasty rumor going that Microsoft integrated capacity snooping secret Windows 10 and just forgot to tell anyone? I loaded Win 10 for less than 48 hours and got rid of him, unfortunately he redesigned a great many things and trashed my ability to use Internet Explorer 11. Now, I think even try the new operating system was a major mistake. Stupid me...

Clean install is the only way.

  • Flash debugger needs a window of expression-spy

    Hello.

I would like to propose to the next update of (CS4 or CS5 - if she has not yet being implemented) to add a window of expression-spy.

I want to use the debugger to find a bug, inside a movieclip, which is dynamic created other clips and I want to check some variables. Using the debbuger as it is now, in this case, is almost useless: I use trace().

    I.e.

    var ny = there mmask.y - DCs [news];

I want to see the value of DCs [news] there.

In order to see, in the current debugger, I have to:

    1. check the variable 'Cur '. I.e. Cur == 5.

    2. open "this" object and find domain controllers

3 open the DCs object [5] and look at there.

It's total timewaste.... a "trace (DCs [heart] there);" command is faster - and reproducible in any re-run!...

I never used the Flash CS3/CS4 debugger, the lack of such a feature. I don't know if it exists - If this is the case, please inform me on how to do...

Add a window of variables 'watch', which will allow the expression that will update the.

It would be excellent - for debugging - rather than use "trace()" to dynamically check code and expressions, to add the string 'trace', in a window of the debbuger and whether to automatically validate each refresh (each update step / forced).

So rather than use the trace() here and there in my code, with identifiers in the chain, to know where the trace of the reference, I would use the path strings in this window of expression-Watch -organized in tabs (groups).

It would be greatIf we could use and multiple tabs - to define the groups of watch expressions. (I.e. c++, MSVC 6, had 5 tabs for another reason - and you could add more (and name)). It would be also great if these tabs and their watch phrase, could be saved in the file, in the economy - so then to restore such what, during the loading of .fla.

I hope in CS5 to add this feature.

It would be a great power for debugger Flash (substitute trace() with window tracking of the user interface of the debugger-> expressions-Watch window!) and it would be a really good reason to use - or buy Flash (instead of free applications) for this business.

    ....

BTW, also Please add the feature to save tabs Actionscript in the .fla file! ... It's annoying, I am reloading a file, .fla, having to re - define tabs Actionscripts, to continue my work every time!

PS. If this message will not be seen by the developers of Flash, please tell me where to add suggestions of aboves for future updates of Adobe Flash - or add them yourself!

  • Tabs, windows and lost after updating to Firefox and page seems gross

I don't think that you have respect for those who use Firefox. Do you understand how many of us work for the House and need this platform to work for our COMPANY? I think you play games with users, at our expense.

So furious that I must try to solve your problems when I have to work. Last night you gave me a message to try to refresh. You said that everything would be saved.

I TRUSTED YOU. Available on the page at the top has been terrible, and I don't know where my addons went. Still, it seems impractical. but at least my tabs were all there.

Today, you have LOST ALL MY TABS except the ones pinned. All the windows gone, too. I copied the sqlt places of my old Firefox Desktop data to the new folder AppData profile several times. Never worked. FF just kept coming back to show me the pinned tabs.

Really, you evaluate these things first? I want to completely delete this useless refresh and come back when things worked.
    WPA

Please, take a deep breath. Now:

There is no way one click to cancel a refresh, but here is a procedure to return to your prior to refresh the data. It takes 5 minutes, but it's perhaps faster than the recovery of individual files and load those into your new profile.

Check in the folder 'Old data Firefox' update adds a folder with a random semi name on your desktop. If there is only one, that probably has your old settings and Add-ons. If there is more than one, you'll want to work with one who has been updated recently.

Once you have identified the profile folder, that you want to restore, here is my "old profile resurrection suggested procedure:

    Overview

Here are the steps described in more detail below:

    1. Create a new Firefox profile
    2. Delete all of this profile folder
    3. Copy in all of the old profile folder

Create a new profile for Firefox (Windows)

Exit Firefox completely and start up in the Profile Manager by pasting the following text in the search box of the start menu, or the start > Run dialog box and pressing ENTER:

    firefox.exe -P

Note: any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

Click on the button create a profile, give it a name like OldSettings and skip the option to change the location of the folder. Select the new profile from the dialog box, and then start Firefox.

Open the new profile folder in Windows Explorer

Firefox in the new profile should look like a new installation of the plant. Open the troubleshooting information page by using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table, click on the view file"" button. Firefox will launch your new profile folder in Windows Explorer.

This folder open, switch back to Firefox and get out by using either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Firefox is closed, the profile folder must be front and Center, or you can activate it by using the taskbar.

Copy old data instead of new

In this new profile folder you just popped open - NOT the one on your desktop - select all content (you can use Ctrl + a) and delete (you can press Delete on the keyboard).

Leave this window open, open or switch to your folder of old data of Firefox. Consult your old profile folder. At this level, you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.

Select all (Ctrl + a) and copy (or right-click > copy or Ctrl + c).

Switch to the empty profile folder in another window and paste (or right-click > paste or Ctrl + v). This may take a few minutes because some files are large.

    Launch Firefox

Firefox should start in this 'new' profile with the old resurrected profile data. Success?

  • I had to reinstall windows and now I need to recover my bookmarks.

I just reinstalled windows and I lost the bookmarks. I had windows old folder and I read them there. I was not able to get to the app - data and by the time wherever I did, I lost the link to the path, in that these data can be.

The Firefox profile folder is here:

    • C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.

"AppData" (XP: Application data;) Mac: ~ / library. Linux: ~/.mozilla) is a hidden folder.

You must restore the places.sqlite file and the folder bookmarkbackups.
Make sure you remove existing places.sqlite - shm and files temporary places.sqlite - wal.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Question: Although my option is to show my home page at startup, Firefox still displays my my windows and tabs from last time.

    More details:
I use Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with Windows Pro 10 and Firefox v 40.0.2
I chose option to start Firefox to display my home page. Please see attached screenshot. The homepage is the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. However I tried other sites such as www.cognizant.com, www.cnn.com.

I also tried to start by selecting a blank page. Always on starting Firefox displays the windows and tabs from last time.

I also deleted the (renamed) prefs.js file and restarted firefox. This step NOT solved this problem.

    Help, please. Thank you

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them .html and .ini and .js and .txt, and you can see only a file name without file extension.
You can check the file extension (type) in the file properties in Windows Explorer via the context menu.

  • In "Général" it allows me to select ' show my windows and tabs from last time '.

In "General", "Startup", "when Firefox starts:" it does not select ' show my windows and tabs from last time. " It allows you to 'Show my home page' and 'white page '. If it is not resolved, I'm going to change browsers.

    Hello Mozilla12,

  • Install Adobe Flash Player on Windows and Internet Explorer?

Is - this now of paramount importance that Adobe Flash Player, will also be installed on Windows and Internet Explorer? After decades of semi - master the computer, I find this embarrassing question for me. Lately, Adobe Flash Player (Shockwave) has become a pariah for many due to its hostile structure and arrogance from Adobe to help! Up-to-date facilities have been substantially no problem. • 8.1 for Windows and Firefox 36.0.1 the text in the forms box has no carriage return. Earlier versions, as forms of work. Is there any solution for this?

Before this version of Firefox 36.0.1, the < textarea > HTML worked in my forms. View Cart returns. In the version of 36.0.1 that they no longer work correctly. However, when I enter a carriage return, it displays a space instead of a line break. I went to test basic textarea
    < textarea > name = cols 'comments' = 20 rows = 10 < / textarea >
to make sure that I was not introducing anything with other languages.
I use Windows Pro 8.1. I drove back to 35.0 Firefox and everything works fine. I installed 36.0.1 and it stops working.
I have access to another laptop also running the same version of windows and Firefox and it seems to be done as well strange things. I'm suspicious because I started to notice this immediately after a windows update last night. The laptop also known issues that he immediately after a windows update last night.
I still have another computer running a different version of windows and Firefox and it works very well. It seems that the issue is where there are windows Pro 8.1 and Firefox 36.0.1.
Guys do you have an idea what is happening here?
    Thank you

The current version supports the white-space for a text box property and it is possible that the Web site uses spaces: pre instead of spaces: pre wrap.
The former will prevent Firefox of text wrapping.

You can check that out in the Inspector via the context menu.

    See:

The white-space property is currently working on HTML < textarea > (bug 82711) elements.

  • Options set for the windows and tabs from last time

    Hello

I put "Options/général" to display the tabs from last time. very suddenly earlier this week Firefox (I use Version 31) stop n apparent reason and since my tabs are is no longer registered despite article in the 'general' still reading of "save windows and tabs from last time '. How can I fix this? I tried one of the suggestions - remove the tick in the box next to 'do not load the tabs until you have chosen', but this made no difference. What I need to change something in the ' subject: config ' file?

As well as to happen, my favorites have changed as well. Initially, the Bookmarks imported from Internet Explorer, and those created in Firefox was in a continuous string. There is now a separate file containing bookmarks to Internet Explorer. Is it possible to combine the two sets of bookmarks in a game as they were before?

I know that the 31 Version has been updated, but the reason that I have not updated my current setup is that whenever I update Firefox something unexpected or undesirable occurs.

It is best to not double-click the .js files: flowing through a shell script from Windows with potentially unpredictable consequences. To display as text, you can right-click > edit the .js file. (However, these files contain data which are difficult to interpret.)

When the restoration of previous Session is grayed out, it can mean that Firefox (1) already restored your previous session or Firefox (2) did not find a historic session file. In this case, it seems that the #1 is more likely.

The session history works in real time? I mean, if you right click on a link and open it in a new window, then close this window, the menu history lists it as a window, you can restore?

So if you exit Firefox and restart it upward, is the closed window still listed in the history as a window menu, you can restore?

  • Why my "display windows and tabs from last time ' does not work?

    Hi all

I used to have my settings set to "display windows and tabs from last time." For some reason, it does not. Whenever I close my tabs, Firefox warns you me I close many tabs, and when I reopen it Firefox, I only get my home page.

In the menu options, I put 'windows and tabs from last time' options, and in private life, I have "Firefox will remember history", so I do not think it is related to my settings.

I saw a thread on 'browser.sessionstore.enabled' must be true about: config, but I don't have even a name preference that says "browser.sessionstore.enabled. Maybe that's the problem? If so, I have NO IDEA how to fix this. I only am not at all computer savvy.

If someone could find a solution to this very annoying problem, I would be very grateful. If it takes a lot of work of programming/techno, please be VERY descriptive (pretend I'm a 5 year old child in giving directions).

    Thank you!

Browser.sessionstore.Enabled is no longer used, worry not if you can't find it.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not erase browsing history – which will prevent the restoration of the work session.

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, installation of software, passwords, and other specific data from Web site.

Deletion of cookies will delete all specified (selected) cookies, including cookies with an exception allowing you want to keep.

You can check the prefs of . browser.sessionstore * including browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash on the topic: config page and reset the browser.sessionstore prefs that are correct (in bold) user via the context menu in the default value to make sure that the Session Restore is enabled and functional.

  • When I have 4 or 5 tabs open, by selecting one of them often force this tab to open in a new window and close the original window

FF 32.0.1. Move between the tabs that are already open, clicking on which I opened before forced to close and open in a new window, which is a real pain. It seems to happen when I have 4 or 5 tabs open, rather than 2 or 3.

Only, this happened last week, once reinstalled a clean Windows.

I searched and found a lot of people have problems with the new windows that open when they want just a new tab, but this seems to be on the opening of the fresh rather than return to already open tabs, so I can't find the same problem I describe.

This can happen if you drag a tab slightly downwards in the browser window by clicking.

Firefox has a feature called tabs
You can detach a tab in the current window and open in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.
You can also do this via the context menu of a tab: switch to the new window
You can drag the tab to the tab bar in the original window to cancel this detachment.

  • Dual-boot Windows and Linux, but Linux has calendar, TB 31.0

I'm using Linux Mint and Windows 7 dual-boot. I have TB 31.0 installed on each operating system. TB Linux has a capacity of calendar; in Windows, there is nothing (by nothing, I mean no calendars - I can't see their properties, for example, access somehow).

I should add that Windows and Linux TB programs share the same profile folder (located on a separate partition), therefore, all of the same modules, passwords, etc.

The error console records the following:

    Timestamp: 14/08/2014-18:41:33
    Error: Components.classes['@ [cid] is undefined
    Source file: resource://calendar/modules/calUtils.jsm-> file:///P:/PortableApps/ThunderbirdPortable/Data/profile/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/calendar-js/calUtils.js
    Online: 17

There are a variety of flow on the errors related to this.

My apologies for posting this in this way; I intend to submit this via the crashreporter, but I can't get the program crash with this error earlier.

An answer to my own question: it turns out that, while sharing a profile works quite well for most of the cases, with lightning, he does not, like the extension has different versions of Linux and Windows. The problem is solved very simply: by not using is not the same profile for each version.

Glad to see that no one takes on this one (except me, of course).
