10 windows on Thinkpad 10 no touchscreen or pen

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and now my touch screen and stylus don't work.

Device Manager says the devices are not connected to the system and there is an error on the Intel Serial I2C i/o controller indicating the I/O device is not configured properly or the driver configuration parameters are incorrect.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Install the platform driver package that Lenovo released yesterday.

  • DeskJet 895Cse does not install on Windows 7 ThinkPad business.

I can't get my DeskJet 895Cse to install on my ThinkPad corporate recently updated (for Windows 7). This machine is 64-bit. The company controls access to windows update - no authorized automatic connection.

I have a 32-bit personal ThinkPad that I've upgraded to windows 7 and the deskjet installed correctly by using the windows update connection.

How can I get the correct direct drivers so that I can thumbdrive load into my corporate ThinkPad?

    There are two possibilities:

    1. Go to start, devices and printers, add printer, seleect some dummy port as LPT1:, and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right.  (This is different from the normal Windows Update and may be feasible).  The list will take several minutes to update, after that, you can cancel the installation and then simply plug the USB cable to the Deskjet 895 and the pritner would install automatically.
    2. If the foregoing is blocked from another computer then visit the Microsoft Update Catalog site using IE (no other browsers not supported).  Search for Deskjet 895cse and the driver for Windows 7 64-bit is the file which is 11.6 Mb in size.

  • Two monitors L2206tm - Windows 7 - can all both touchscreen make?

I didn't realize the L2206tm is a commercial monitor and I posted about it in the forum of home monitor products, then I copy the post here. I hope you guys can help me.

I have a custom desktop computer and I recently got two HP L2206tm monitors because they were on sale. My computer running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have two monitors connected USB ports on the desktop, but if I touch one of the screen of one of them, the click or scroll or any action that happens on the other monitor. Is it possible, and if so, what is the easiest way to set up two monitors to use the touch screen feature? Is there a software to help make this process easier?

AFAIK, you can't touch on two screens in the calibration mode. In Clone mode, it works; but it's probably not what you're looking for.

    You can try the below:

Use the 'Tablet PC Settings' in the ' Control Panel/hardware.  Under 'Display Options', select a touch screen, hit calibrate, move the text to the selected touch screen while pressing on enter (incase you have extra monitors) then MOVE your mouse to this screen and click on the text.   Then calibrate the monitor and following the instructions in the calibration.  Once the first monitor is installed, follow these instructions again for each additional touch monitor.

  • Why ('ontouchstart' in the window) is false on a touchscreen tablet with Windows 8

I use Java Script to determine if my website is running on the tablet device
The device is Assus tablet with windows 8

Are you assuming that the return value is false, because it is not true? According to this, the null is returned instead of true sometimes. If false is returned in fact, then I think it's a fault with the Tablet browser. This either in the browser settings there are options to pretend the camera is something else (for testing purposes); There is no reason why they should be selected by default however.

If this was any help then please give us more details (for example, the browser you use).

Another thing is the trackpad, which for example now does not scroll with 2 fingers and other things that did before.

PROBLEM SOLVED WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN!

Go to the Device Manager and look at the Human Interface Devices. There will be some USB devices that end up being the touch screen. If you change the options of feed on those so they don't turn off to save power, the problem should be solved.

Please let me know how it works for you.

  • Windows 8 and workstations without touchscreens

Given the lack of features of Windows 8 is installed on desktop computers (not to mention, laptops) that don't have touch screens, why didn't everyone (Microsoft) offered a downgrade to 7? Without the screen touch Windows 8 is just awkward - especially, stop. I bought a P6-2350 for a customer and sooned learned that the customer really couldn't use it. Now, I'll have to buy a copy of 7 to make them happy. It is simply not true.

    Hello

Microsoft will allow users of Windows 8 Pro to downgrade their new PC to Windows 7 or even Vista, depending on the operating system of the license agreement.

Not surprisingly, users cannot downgrade to Windows XP still-used-but-slated-for-retirement.

Demotion - which allow customers to replace a newer version of Windows by an older edition without paying two copies - is only available in Windows 8 Pro.

Which corresponds to the previous practice: only Windows 7 Professional, for example, has been allocated downgrade rights.

    I hope this helps!

  • ThinkPad Tablet 2 set button pen

Hey all, I have ThinkPad Tablet 2 with the Wacom digitizer and an active stylus. The stylus a button on the side which the manual says is for screenshot. I would like to configure this button to be identical to a right mouse click on the button (I'm not a fan of the tap water then hold list drop-down functionality of the right mouse button trigger). To make this I:

    -Search 'calibrate' in Win10

-went to "calibrate the screen for pen or press ENTER.

-On the dialog box opened, I clicked on the tab 'other '.

-J' clicked on the link "Go to Pen and Touch" under "configure your pen and tap Settings in pen and touch.

-An open windows error dialog box that says:

"Tablet and pen settings is not available. For assistance, contact the manufacturer of your tablet PC. (error = 0). »

So here I am and here are my questions: why these settings are not available? Is there another way to configure the associated stylus button action? Thank you!

Problem solved. I uninstalled Windows 10 and reinstalled and the pen settings are now available and more screen auto-rotation, now working as well. I find this strange because I makes no other changes to the Tablet and I was running any other software before, during and after my first upgrade of Windows 10. I guess an update has been published or there was a quirk in my initial upgrade of Win10. In any case, all's well that ends well

  • ThinkPad Helix: Is the included pen?

    Hello

I want to buy a thinkpad propeller.

    Display technology specifications is:

    11.6 "400nit Full HD (1920 x 1080), digitizer and Pen, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 S (2 x 2 AGN), 2MP camera, camera 5MP 1080prear 1080 p

Digitizer and Pen means? The device is VAT included with a pen, or he is able to utilizeing a pen?

How can I determine if the device has a pen?

    Please help me!

If the model of your purchase is a digitizer, then it will be delivered with a stylus. The pen has a location conveniently located in the upper left corner of the portion of the slate of the machine. If the model you buy does not have a scanner, then it will ship with a pen. You can refer to the thread below for details, but what I wrote here about is the short of it.

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/X-series-Tablet-ThinkPad-laptops/can-I-add-a-pen-to-Helix-if-it-didn-t-c...

What I hear in what respect love the Pan is to love the specific pen that comes with the propeller in the box. It is pretty thin and small, so if you have big hands you will find written with her bulky. It's yours if you prefer a different pen. As long as your propeller has a digitizer, any pen should work.

  • Fingerprint reader not working not not on ThinkPad T450s on Windows 10

The reader of the FP does not work on my T450s on Windows 10, even if drivers "Synaptics PS sensors (WBF) (PID = 0017)" are correctly installed.

I can get into the Setup Windows Hello of fingerprints (screenshot below), but the reader of the FP doesn't do a thing.

Following the suggested steps in Fingerprint-support-on-Windows-10-ThinkPad-T440-and-newer does not change.

The laptop is "new" and I didn't Win 7 or 8 before to test drive the FP, but the driver is installed without any problem - so I guess this isn't a hardware problem.

    I'm happy for any suggestion.

Problem solved. Indeed, it's a hardware problem.

  • OEM of Windows 8 key does not not on touchscreens of Voltron

Windows 8 RP and CP worked great with Windows 7 display driver touch touchscreen NextWindow Voltron, but in Windows 8 for OEM, the capability is part, even after the installation of the driver. It is a touch screen in common (HP, Dell, Gateway AIOs, etc.), and as noted, he has worked with all the beta versions.  If someone knows a solution?

    Hello.

I can verify this, but for a different computer. The problem is the OEM version.

I found in the Support section:

"Windows 8 System Builder versions require certified hardware Windows 8 to activate touch."

So, there is a difference of OEM and the oder versions of retail upgrade. In reading the other posts, it seems that it is controlled by differnet, not by different versions license keys...

That the why it worked in Preview versions and work in upgrade versions too without problems, but not in OEM - he just "limited"...
