  For custom settings, you must use the command of PACU to be implemented, then you can use the query to get results.

  The driver can set those up with all scopes of basic, but there are many parameters that can be added or which are not available on all scopes.  For those, you will need to use the command of the USPA.

  The quick way to find the settings for the command (a good thing for all parameters) is to configure the scope manually then send PACU? : CUSTx (where x = parameter, i.e. CUST3 P3).

  Then read back the response.  The scope will show you the settings you would send to him implement the same measure.

  I am trying to make measurements of waveform of an oscilloscope Tektronix 1052 B using LabVIEW. My program is intended to be run for hours at a time, and it works perfectly as expected for the first few hours. However, I noticed that after a few hours, there are apparently random of chances that a VISA to read or write the block function will produce the error - 1073807339. After that happens once, all read or write functions also produce this same error for a while. This happens even using subVIs new driver provided by OR (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=047216EC20B66FABE0440003BA7CCD... Meanwhile if I stop the program, I can still bring up the oscilloscope in MAX and read and write commands him. The error seems to occur within a VI. I know that this is not a matter of actual timeout because I tried increasing the timeout of 30 seconds, but the error always occurs immediately as soon as the function of reading or writing block is called.

• 104mxi folder, a transfer of PC-LeCroy to Lecroy HDD using GPIB

  The difficulty to send files to the 104mxi-a lecroy.  There is a file.vi of transfer which takes a file of the scope and saves it on the PC.  I want to reverse that and send a file from the PC to HDD scope. LeCroy has a manual which mentions the TRFL command that should do it, but I think that my syntax is incorrect.

  TRFL DISK, disk, FILE,'' string goes to the vi LCWAVE write out an error.

  Try the attached vi.

  You need to replace the LCWAVE write.vi with vi of your driver if it is not already. (depends on which driver you are using, the .llb or the .lvproj).

  Quite frankly, I suggest a complete rewrite. You use stacked sequence structures, GPIB functions instead of VISA, a large number of locals, the hidden wires and structures, in a first stage. You should know that the command set varies from one provider to another and often from instrument to instrument. If you had used the instrument to the extent of tek driver, you could perhaps have an easier time to replace common functions. As it is, if you want to use the existing code, you need to replace each of your Scriptures GPIB hardcoded with writing appropriate for the LeCroy.

  As a side note, this is the kind of situation where IVI drivers would have made a big difference. If the IVI drivers exist for the two instruments, and if you used class drivers, you would have not had to change anything.

• LeCroy Waverunner 640Zi - Data Acquisition

  Hello... I'm trying to set up my oscilloscope waverunner with LabVIEW SignalExpress for data acquisition.

  I took the steps so far:

  1 pulse generator hooked to scope of signal generation

  2 USB scope to the installed computer with LabView

  3 downloaded lecroyscope driver 3.2.9 - x 64

  I turn on the scope and plug in the USB to the computer and SignalExpress begins.

  a. start by using data acquisition

  b. Add step/aquire signal / IVI aquire / IVI brought aquire

  c. create new IVI session... resources descriptor (I choose my USB device ' USB0::0x05FF:0 x 1023: 2812N61507:INSTR '), I select the right driver (lcscope), and I do not click enable simulation data, press ok
  d. I still receive configuration errors

  e. did the research... some forum said goto MAX, find drivers and uncheck the Cache and the exchange of check

  f. attempt to initialize... always get config errors.

  g. return to MAX... change to simulate with specific driver.

  h. initialization works... NO errors, BUT no data are acquired.

  Sorry to jump in if I was out of the country for a while and am still catching things in my office.

  I think you are looking for someone to say yes, "you can connect to the scope with NOR-MAX and VISA, and here's how interactive tool do"

  A few things:

  LabVIEW for XStream extended driver is the right one.  It works with all the TeledyneLeCroy Windows based scopes.

  As I see has already been noted. (I'll give Kudos soon), the scope of application must be configured to use interface USBTMC.  To do this, go to the drop down Utitlites on the scope menu and select "utilities configuration... '. "in the tabs that appear at the bottom of the screen, select the 'Remote' tab and make sure that the interface type is set to USBTMC.  This will also show you the VISA resource (I see it in the title of the image of VISA interactive tool indicated in a previous post).

  Once this field is selected, the PC should detect the USB connection and install the device. (you can see in your device manager as a Test of USB and the measurement device):

  

  Once this is done, you can then enter the NOT-MAX and it will detect and display resources.  You can now communicate with the device:

  I downloaded the instrument drivers, but when starting from the block diagram, I'm going to find the instrument Drivers and then I double click on lcwave (so I guess that the drivers are installed correctly), it shows me a few examples of VI... the problem is that when I try to run these screws in the name of resource VISA on behalf of the LeCroy is not displayed. • Error reading the attached viSA-1073807339 using Subvi, but why?

  First of all, thanks to all who respond!

  I read N9020A Agilent MXA Signal Analyzer data.  It is successful if a Subvi is used to playback VISA; otherwise "Read Error-1073807339 VISA' rears its ugly little head.»  The Agilent gives the message "REQUEST not COMPLETED" just as endearing.

  The on error-1073807339 OR Knowledge Base article talks about the need to put an end to the chain of command correctly and explains how to check it by double-clicking the control of chain of command on the front and changing the display of '-' Display Mode of the Codes.  I call the VISA Read VI in the block diagram; It does not have a chain of command of front panel control, so I don't know how to apply these tips.

  In any event using a Subvi to perform the Read VISA takes care of the problem, but I have no idea why.  The VI image that does not work is "Agilent MXA Sig Gen vi.png."  A big thank you to Mike on the Agilent forum which provided workaround.

  I found the error in Agilent MXA GIS Gen.vi.  There is typo in one of the VISA WRITE commands.  Originally, it was

  : MMEMORYATA:? "D:\TEST. PNG"

  It should be

  : MMEMORYATA? "D:\TEST. PNG' (remove: before?)

  I have connected the Ocean Optics USB4000 detector and the program worked well.

  But now it displays a Visa Write error-1073807339 of the 'Initialize.vi' & other screws that I used as it is also for driver package.

  I read the previous discussions on this error but cannot get my program to run.

  Have you unplugged the USB device and, after a few seconds, plugged in? I have USB devices work for weeks and lose their sanity. The only way to reset have disconnected them and reconnected them.

  The selection "control of the" East on the oscilloscope. in the scope, go to utilities > utility configuration... and then the Remote tab. There are several selections: 2 choices for connections LAN, LXI (VXI11) and TCPIP (ACIP), GPIB and outside.  (The ACIP choice has existed for a decade, LXI is very recent and a likely cause of the problem, given that the pilot is not completely calibrated for LXI. (Even if it is compatible).

  To connect to the scope you describe, you must use the type of connection (LXI).  When you use TCP/IP (ACIP), MAX has no way of knowing that the scope is there.  (MAX is not designed to connect with all types of instruments controlled by LAN)

  The point here is that you must use a VISA connection string that corresponds to the type of connection selected on the scope.
