  You must use 10g to 11g is not yet certified with R12 - using the 10.1.2 OracleAS forms and builders reports with Oracle Applications Release 12 [444248.1 ID]

• APEX with R12 e-business integration

  In Oracle apps 11.5.10.2, we have developed a few pages in APEX (version4.0) and integrated into e-business (i.e. access pages of the apex of the responsibility of e-business-> menu-> function)
  
  now, we are trying to upgrade to R12 Oracle applications, where mod_plsql is no longer supported.
  
  I wanted to know what is the best option and the simple to integrate the apex with e-business pages? and the details of how integrate.
  
  1 http server separated with mod_plsql
  2 apex listner (AL)
  
  in the second option, we can install AL on tech-stack even as e-business or do we install on separate tech-battery?

  Hi Kamal,

  I think that the steps that you need to configure the integration are correct. Use of the gateway FND simply install the patch and then call the GWY.jsp of the function of the form with the profile that contains the URL of the Apex. With R12, you must use a jsp page to call Apex mod_plsql is not supported. Still, you need a listener OSH or separate Apex in support of mod_plsql for installation of the Apex.

• Need help - connection problem with R12.1.1 (Vision) on Windows 2008 R2 (Datacenter)

  (1) we made a fresh install of R12.1.1 (Vision) on Windows Server 2008 R2 for demonstration purposes at the senior management and upgrade planning. Running on 11.5.10.2.
  (2) installation went fine. We follow all the necessary prerequisites for installation.
  (3) after the installation, we did run autoconfig for DB as well as the APPlication and started services.
  (4) we are able to see the page of connection, but not able to connect using generic accounts of OPERATIONS/WELCOME or SYSADMIN/SYSADMIN.
  (5) send the document screenshot and a newspaper for your perusal. Please provide your e-mail id. Not able to attach here.
  
  Please help us with diagnosis and solution.

  In addition to the large post Hussein snoussi . You can follow:

  NLS is not software that is a patch which means after installing EBS as you mention only available American English. For example, you live in Turkey and you need for Turkish language also for your EBS. You must follow:

  1. first of all, download NLS language of electronic delivery partners
  2. Download this zip on your EBS Server
  3. unzip the file and edit the files allowed user applmgr (say your user applmgr is applprod)
  4 before start NLS don't forget your character set Db should support NLS partners (in this example of Turkish language, do not forget this please)
  5. open the screen of your handler applications Oracle's EBS license your OAM Language(here its turkish) using:

  Oracle Applications Manager > License Manager > languages > French)

  6 log in as user applmgr soruce env file, then run utulity adadmin

  Choose:
  4. maintain Appl menu. database of entities

  then

  * 3. Maintain the multilingual tables *.

  7. when that is done that close your application services, run adadmin and take your system in maintenance mode

  8. go to the directory of NLS related patch and run adpatch utuiliy and begin to patch

  That's all

  If you need to apply an other NLS (for example Romanian), you follow the same steps before applying Romanian NLS patch

• Discover 11g with R12

  We have installed on RHEL 5 and integrated to the EBS R12 discoverer 11g.

  When we try to open any liability to EBS report the plu discoverer and discoverer opens fine.

  But when we open any form of R12 and then try to open the discoverer he is suspended.

  The question is only when we have java installed 7.5 on the server of R12.

  For java 6 no problem.

  The java console displays error below.

  As you know, I'm doing this upgrade. Now my current situation will be R12.1.1 with 10.2.0.5.
  If I want to improve my database of EBS 11 basic GR 1 material can I use 11 GR 1 material provided with R12.1.1 the installation of upgrade codes chart.
  
  I mean I want to follow the steps described in the doc
  Interoperability Notes E-Business Suite R12 with Oracle Database 11 GR 1 (11.1.0) material [ID 735276.1]
  point 10 of section 1. It will be ok.

  You must follow all the steps under "Section 1: upgrade a R12 database to Oracle Database 11g Release 1 (11.1.0).

  Please note that GR 11, 2 is certified with Oracle Apps R12, then I would tell you to go with 11 GR 2 instead of 11 GR 1 material

  We are in the process of upgrading R12.1.3 with 11.2.0.4, R12.2.5 database with 12.1.0.2 Applications database. I'm a little confused about the process to upgrade the database as part of the upgrade to 12.2.

  In accordance with the note "guidelines preparation of database for an E-Business Suite Release 12.2 Upgrade (Doc ID 1349240.1)", I'm reviewing step 2

  Upgrading to the last group of patches (conditional) database
  Customers currently on 11.2.0.3 or 12.1.0.1 must now move to the 11.2.0.4 or 12.1.0.2 within the upgrade 12.2 following the documented process in the appropriate Interoperability Notes (see the References section below). It is highly recommended clients on previous patchsets to the upgrade database to the last.
  
  Complete all steps in interoperability Notes except the following:

  • Check the versions of the software
    • R12 to 12.1.0.2 upgrades (12 c) must apply the 16289505 patch and patch 8796558interoperability *.
    • 11i upgrades to 12.1.0.2 (12 c) must apply the patch of interoperability 16289505 as well as other pre-required patches listed in the 11i Interoperability Notes (My Oracle Support Knowledge Document 1524399.1in the References section below) *.
  • Step 'Run patch post-installation instructions' under 'Database Upgrade' in Section 1
  • Apply patch ECX post-implementation level (in the Notes of interoperability R12/11 GR 2)
  • Recreate the grants and synonyms
  • Restart the application server process
  • Apply the Oracle human resources (HRMS) patch 7721754 (11 I only)
  • Select the database Vault
  • Synchronize the views of Workflow
    • Note that this step must be completed after the 12.2.0 upgrade and application of the last ORS 12.2 when all services are up to such noted in last step be

  This stage supposed to complete interoperability for 12.1.0.2 with R12.1.3? Am I wrong?

  As I'm not going to bring up the applications before upgrade R12.2, that I have to perform interoperability for 12.1.3 or can I perform the steps of interoperability for 12.1,0.2 with 12.2?

• EBS R12.1.3 on the 12 c RAC database

  We are running EBS version 12.1.3 on RAC cluster for node 3 11 GR 2 and works well. We are currently working on upgrading our RAC database to 12 c.

  Looking at the Oracle support, I can see there are notes related to stamps of interoperability thus recommended on 12 c init parameters.

  I can't find any other relevant document where there are performance problems and possible solutions.

  I'm sure that the people would have taken this path... ghoulish someone please provide input as to what measures we should take to make sure that we don't encounter unforeseen problems.

  I need some suggestion. I demanded to clone my database of production on a completely new test server. for this, I know that I demanded to prepare the new test server for ebs r12. for exp rpm installation package, the core of installation parameters create group users and os etc...

  My confusion is that ' forced to install java manually when you copy the database on an entirely new test server (1st time on this server direct cloning) "

  According to my java knowledge already bundle with r12 and request not to install manually when we install r12 1st time on a new server. But what in the case of cloning.

  Please please suggest me right path. I have to do the cloning so client-side I m nervous. Please help me...

  It's just a matter of preparing the server, with all prerequisites them and perform cloning immediately. You should not install java separately when you make a clone on a new server.
