11.1.2 E.M.P. fatal error: Windows system32 directory failed

Hi all

I need help... I reinstall the EPM 11.1.2 Foundation, Essbase and planning.
EPM has been successfully installed, but when I run the Configurator EMP it shows me this message:
"FATAL ERROR: Windows system32 directory failed with the message"C:\Windows\System32"not present in the path" ""

I don't know what to do... Please!

My environment is Windows server 2008 sp2

Hello

Please make sure that the variable path in your environment variables contain %SystemRoot%\system32 which, in your case, seems to be "C:\Windows\System32" and then call the config utility.
It should work correctly.

Thank you and best regards,
Vipin.

Thanks a lot DexterM for getting back to me.

I'm happy to make you and everyone (which could face the similar question) know that the problem has been resolved with the help of the HP support. It was a problem with permissions in the registry.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> SOFTWARE-> Microsoft-> Windows NT-> SvcHost

Right-click on SvcHost and select "permissions".

Administrators and users should have "full control". Restart the machine and software should install

  • error windows\system32\advpack.dll is not a valid image

I try to install Life Cam VX-5000. I get an error image DXSETup.exe - bad... It is said THAT DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\advpack.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check against your installation diskette. I'm not a programmer or anything, just an ordinary girl looking for help. Can someone walk me through what to do to solve this problem in simple terms? Thank you!

System Machanic 6 has detected that a file Advpack.dll was spyware on his deep optimization of Start Up procedure. However, Windows replaced after its deletion and I ran SM6 Pro again. This time he ignored the file.

CONCLUSION: There are maybe a program that replaces the Advpack.dll real with a fake spyware Trojan. Perhaps in one of the free SP2 packs on the internet or another program. Here again, it may be a fault with Spyware detectors.

As long as the file is replaced by Windows automatically, so there is no real problem, and we can thank God for the major spyware removal programs.

Since you don't have a Windows XP installation disk, I suggest you to arrange for a Windows XP installation disc that fits the same edition and the version installed on your machine.

  • Error Windows\system32\authui.dll = locked in a reboot loop

Two weeks ago, I installed Windows 7 on the blank hard drive to my newer computer. Initially, I could get it started off, but every day since then, I met a variety of errors, some start requiring repair and others, implying that my anti-virus [AVG 9] program was at fault. I was also unable to get my Dell 940 printer to work.

Yesterday, I uninstalled the AVG program and installed Norton 2010 program. Later, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver, but the driver would not download from Microsoft.

After the closure of the system to the normally last night, I tried to start again this morning. Once again, I have had to run through the "Startup Repair" program that has me 073b947e1 to 0 X 80000010 was in could not be read and then closed.

Restarts, I opted to run the diagnosis of memory who told me that a hardware problem had been detected, indicating that "the volume of the system on the disk was corrupt.

On reboot again, I had to again run through "Startup Repair". This time I was told that there was 'bad' and that I should try to reinstall the software of Windows 7. When I tried to do so, however, I got the error message following, which is what appears when I restart the computer.

"C:\Windows\system32\authui.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or support software provider. »

I get this error message if I try to go into safe mode or even a C prompt.

I'm not all that knowledgeable with the workings or programming, so I'm stuck.

    Hi j. Marchesani,.

    ·         Windows 7 installation succeeded on the computer?
    ·         What is a custom installation or upgrade installation that you perform on the computer?

This error message can occur if the equipment does not meet the requirements for Windows 7.

I suggest that you run chkdsk in Windows Recovery Environment [RE] that could help solve the problem.

You can access Windows RE using the Windows 7 installation disc or a previously created system repair disc.

To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.

    Insert the disc.
Restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
Choose your language settings, and then click Next.
If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
In the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt to open it.
    8. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk /F /R

    9. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts. Now run the disk check in command prompt, follow the steps below:

See link: What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7

During the installation of any external device to the computer, you can check if the device is compatible with Windows 7 or not since the windows Compatibility Center 7.

  • Media Center product error ": \Windows\System32\Mpeg2Data.ax is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

    Hello

After you follow the instructions to repair a problem as indicated in the following thread, I now have a problem with Media Center

    https://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Office/Forum/office_2010-office_install/problem-with-grooveintlresourcedll/c12778e6-4822-4cac-ad22-6e39cd4a4180

Media Center opens OK but after the start of a string of television, immediately it is running (and still running), it produces the following error

    ehexthost.exe - incorrect Image

    ---------------------------

C:\Windows\System32\Mpeg2Data.AX is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.

I tried to remove Media Center via Add or remove programs, but the problems reoccurs. No one knows how to fix?

As I said, this is a repair through the upgrade option (Win7 64 bit).

I've sorted the DotNet question using the cleaning tool to remove all traces of the previous versions, then only the latest version. Other remedies proposed in the community forums has not worked.

  • I have Vista running on my PC - in the last 3 weeks, I encountered this error: Windows\System32\napinsp.dll is not designed to run on windows...

This error occurs more than once and started several weeks ago.  I have not loaded any new program before that and tried several programs which are 'supposed to fix' dll errors (and does not).  I have re-set the computer to a date earlier when the error does not occur, and none of it worked.

    Hello

To resolve this issue, try these methods.

    Method 1:
We will first check if the same issue occurs in Mode safe or not. Configure the computer to boot, if the problem does not occur in Mode without failure.

    Step 1:

To start the computer in Mode safe following the procedure described in the link.

Start your computer in safe mode:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:
We will configure the computer to boot, if the issue occur not in Mode safe. And check if it helps.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista and Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow the "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" section in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I would say allowing you to run the auditor of file system (CFS) analyze and check if it helps.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:
If the problem persists, I suggest you analyze your computer by using the Microsoft Safety scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note:
    1) the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    2) if you run the virus scan of the program which is infected with the virus will be deleted. Therefore, reinstall the program. Also, if files and folders are affected by the virus, while they might even get deleted.

    -removed the virus checker
    -installed any software encryption
    -no special disc running utilities
    -Windows Update
    -run the command chkdsk
-clean boot (all the services package disabled).

Any suggestions as to what I can try?

Boot from the DVD Windows 8
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 8 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • can I fix this error - \windows\system32\config\system

my daughter has a compaq mini netbook... start says file is missing or damaged - \windows\system32\config\system he says that you can attempt to repair by starting windows configured using the original installation CD. I have not... How can I fix?

    Hi Tyler

You cannot download Windows Xp. However, you can try to repair your current installation by using the Recovery Console. Download the recovery from HEREConsole. Unzip the folder choose Extract the iso file to your desktop for convenience. Click HERE for the instructions to burn the iso image. You need to a blank cd. Once you've burned the image, you will need to boot from the cd.

    1. Insert the CD from Recovery Console in your CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. If you are prompted, select any options needed to start (boot) on the CD. (Usually the message will be "Press any key to boot from cd")

    2. when the text portion of Setup begins, follow the prompts. Select the repair or recovery option by pressing R.

    3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot system, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.

    4. When you are prompted, type the administrator password. If you have not set a password for the account admin simply press on enter

    5. at the Recovery Console prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after you type each line: each line must be typed exactly as it appears below.

    MD tmp

    copy c:\windows\system32\config\system c:\windows\tmp\system.bak

    copy c:\windows\system32\config\software c:\windows\tmp\software.bak

    Copy c:\windows\system32\config\sam c:\windows\tmp\sam.bak

    copy c:\windows\system32\config\security c:\windows\tmp\security.bak

  • Photosmart C4580 - fatal error during installation

Today I received my AIO printer and expected (based on all the reviews on the product), it is an easy install and Setup.  NOT THE CASE! I'm going out of my mind and got NO help from HP Technical Support on this issue, even after 2 sessions online and a phone session.  I know it's a DLL problem and a tech tried to tell me it was my installation CD and he would send me a new.

I get about 20% of the way through the installation of the software (with CD and download) and get a 'fatal error' message that says this:

I tried to uninstall, stop, and then reinstall the two albums and a download and get to every time the same exact error message.  Can someone please PLEASE help?

Waiting for an answer here, I decided to look for other threads and found an answer that worked by Andreas Rosenberg... As soon as I registered the dll mentioned below, I was able to install the software.  I just wanted to post here for other people who might have the same problem can have an answer that might work for them too!

    July 9, 2008 15:39:35 GMT unassigned
The reason for the mentioned error is a missing or invalid to Atlant record. DLL.

1.) check if ATL. DLL exists in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory. If it is missing, you must get it.

    2.) register the ATL DLL with: "start |" Run"and type"regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\atl.dll ".

Try to install the printer software again.
