Hi experts,
I install software from the Oracle 11 g 2 of 32-bit Redhat Linux 5.5. but when I start the installation of Oracle on a mode graphic I found bad graphics on Redhat Linux.

Please suggest any Linux RPM making my own graphics window meaner Redhat and I can easily install Oracle.

Hi all
I've been struggling with the installation of Oracle 11 g (11.1.0.6) database on Redhat Linux (4.1.2 - 14) for the last 2 days. The area most struggle is to install required on a Linux RPM packages. I'm really running out of ideas to install by downloading the RPMs right on the internet.
Somehow, I managed to installed most of them but could not download and install below good packets under Linux.

And also, I got error in the log Wizard Setup below information.

Problem: The system doesn't have the required swap space.

But, my machine is the high range (hard disk 1 to and 8 GB of RAM) and here is the configuration.

Hi all
I can't open the PDF files in adobe reader 9.5.1 under Redhat Linux 64 bit. all I get is a black screen. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Kind regards
Gary.
Hi all
I found the solution to display a composed PDF-Redhat Linux PDF portfolios.
Use the (Evince - Document Viweer) native PDF Viewer. In the left panel, where it shows generally "miniature" - select "Accessories" in the dropdown menu drop-down. This will show you all the embeded PDF files. Just double click to view.
Kind regards

Hello
I tried to install OBIEE 11.1.1.7 / 11.1.1.6 (tried both versions) Redhat linux 6.5. But the prior step fails with the message:
Checking operating system certification:
Expected result: a 6-oracle, oracle 5, 6, company - 5.4, company-4, company-5, redhat - 5.4, redhat-4, redhat-5, SuSE 10, SuSE 11
Actual result: redhat-Red
Verification: the result of this review is: failure of < < < <
But WHEREAS, when we check the OBIEE compatibility matrix, cleary mentions the support of OBIEE 11 g with Redhat Linux 6 (level 1 + updated to date)
When I tried to ignore this warning and proceed with the installation, during the configuration phase, Create Domain step breaks down and I'm not able to go further.
Waiting for pointers to solve the problem.
Thank you

10g database on linux 32-bit to 64-bit migration, linux on 11g
Hi Hussein:
Just wanted to get your opinion and any potential risk involved in performing the migration and upgrade in this way. I had to make sure that this process is working 100% without any problems. That's what I intend to do.
Old 32-bit server Linux
1 install 32 bit 11 g on the server
2. switch to the 10 g Database 11 g database level
3 stop the database
New server: Linux 64-bit
1 copy the init.ora, control files and data files to the new server.
2. start the database in upgrade mode and run the utlirp.sql script
3. Once done stop the database
4. start the database in normal mode and run the utlrp.sql script.
5. fill the clone.
Best regards
BalaBanan
Please see (Note: 579234.1 - how to check if the Olap Option has been used recently) in order to check whether the OLAP is used or not. If not, then I think that you can Sketch this step - you can connect an SR to confirm this with the support of the Oracle.
Kind regards

I would like to buy a server TS140. Can I run/install RedHat Linux on this server?
Red Hat is not an operating system with support for the TS140... which means that Lenovo has no drivers, etc. for devices for Red Hat. It will probably run if you have the right drivers.
