  • Configuration failed somehow... may be an error ORA-00955

I try to install vcloud Director.  I get to the configuration and to tell him what IP addresses to use, where the db server is, the service name, user name, password, keystore, etc. etc.

He starts to set up and then wrote:

Configuration failed somehow; the Director of Cloud service will not start.

Before, I was getting an error with an ORA-00955 event id which apparently means that the table already exists.  I looked in the newspapers and it seems that he was trying to create a table called CATALOG.  I'm a total Oracle newb, so I don't know if I'm on that or not.

In any case, I have tried to look in the logs of other errors, but have not really found anything.  I'm no longer error ORA-00955, but I not did something to correct this error, either.  I tried to create a new database, but also to get the same results (first the Oracle error and then just a generic).

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

It seems that you have already some paintings created from your previous attempts to run the script configures. The best way would be to remove the user from the oracle and recreate the user vcloud and restart the configuration script. The best way to create a database for vcloud described the following KB:

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1025768

If this is not enough, then attach the logs to the file ' / opt/vmware/logs "here,.

Because of not enough RAM ? I * 3.45 GB of RAM and 30 GB available in my hard dur.* Oracle XE is running by taking the 500 MB of RAM. As soon as I start my m/c, I'm trying to implement SOA server, but he died by throwing over the mistakes.

I can send you described the papers if you wish.

    Really appreciate your help.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jyothi
I think the problem is maybe too long Classpath. I compared your entries to adminserver.log and mine, specially the variables file approx. We're like "java.class.path". The value of this on my side is like 2200 characters and the last entry is "xqrl.jar". But on your side, it's like 6600 characters. You can find "xqrl.jar" and see the entries after that. He had many entries of your c:\Jwhich\build\lib\jwhich.jar;c:\jyothi_workspace slots. Now big question why do you have these entries. What is 'jyothi_workspace' have. If possible, check your files setDomainEnv and setSOADomainEnv to these entries and for the moment to remove those.

You can restore the changes you did as "/" to "------" etc. Or just create new domain. Area just to help Wizard Config. Do not install anything. If possible, send your phone number to my email ID. I'll quickly call you by phone.

I suppose that, if classpath is too long it is not load all the modules, I guess that since the classpath.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that your firewall and SElinux is enabled. You can turn them off and try again. If the retry fails, you must restart the configuration.

In the case of restarting the configuration, you may need to remove the previous domain and proceeding under the following link:

  • 15-4010nr spectrum: spectrum 15-4010nr Thunderbolt Firmware Configuration failed

Theres a post existing on the use of this http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/thunderbolt-spectre/td-p/2248647/page/6 configuration utility

Essentially, it allows to run unlicensed thunderbolt devices, which is apparently the Apple Firewire adapter Thunderbolt that I am using.

The configuration utility itself is here - ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61501-62000/sp61579.exe

Instructions for using it are here - http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03725328#SpectreConfiguring

When I run this utility on a whole new 8.1 Windows Installer (fully updated), it does not work and so prevents me from using my port thunderbolt in the way that I want. I need to know how to get the utility to run and/or modify the registry to create the same changes. When I run currently, I get the error output below.

Ive tried running it in each mode of compatibility offered, it still fails every time.

Ive been fighting with this machine for over a week now, and I finally found the solution yesterday only to find out that it does not work. I need someone to HP to tell me how I can run my Thunderbolt "unlicensed" device that should not be up to HP in the first place.

For some reason the configuration utility is not compatible with windows 8.1 Although it works with win8. I'm not an expert but my experience almost everything that works on win8 also works on the 8.1, so clearly HP must update this utility to work with 8.1. I imagine that this will be an easy fix. While youre at it, make it work with windows 10 as well.

I can then try is upgrading to 8.1 after running the win8 utility, under the assumption that the change of firmware is reported in 8.1. If it works, its possible it would be deferred to win10 as well. Of course, a new installation would not work but should upgrade.

Assuming that works, the main limitation is that you can not have a clean install of 8.1 or 10 and use your port thunderbolt to its full potential. I think its ridiculous that HP is thunderbolt devices can be used and which can not. If one does not work because of material or other compatibility issues major, then it works simply. Theres no reason to exclude hundreds, or even thousands of other devices that probably work fine, just because there may be some who don't.

HP considring went from love at first sight, I doubt this will ever addressed. I just hope the people who do not have to scour the web for a week just to find a glimmer of hope to get their devices working experience this problem in the future.

Has no preconditions 11.2 Oracle database Client

There seems to be a problem with Oracle 11 g R2 universal install (YES) detect the configuration of the server that requires administrative action, C$ to create.

Start to--> settings--> panel-->--> computer management administration tools

Expand 'Shared folders' then right click on "Actions" and select "new file sharing."

    Define share C$ as follows

    Folder to share: C:\

    Share name: C$

Once this is done YES detects the configuration of controls of pre-installation without any problem (at least in Windows XP Pro SP3)

Once installed, you can delete the C share $

  • Network infrastructure configuration failed

    Hi all experts,

We are passing from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4 to clusterware. Upgrade went smooth but he showed mistakes that the Oracle cluster verification utility has failed and configure oracle grid infrastructure for a cluster failed. I checked crs newspaper and everything, but it doesn't show any errors. Can someone tell me where is the location of the logs CVU utility? I'd appreciate your feedback.

CVU trace files are created in theCV_HOME/cv/directory of newspapers

    Hi all

I have the problem mentioned below.

Some time ago, I installed Oracle 11 g RAC. As long as this installation failed, I removed at home of the grid and home of the database using 'rm', rather than uninstalling as uninstall failed during execution. Now, when I do a new installation of Oracle 11 g RAC, I get the response below when running from $GRID_HOME/root.sh:

    [code]

    [root@racnode2 oracle] # /u02/app/11.2.0/grid/root.sh

Run the script root.sh from Oracle 11 g...

The following environment variables are defined as:

    ORACLE_OWNER = grid

    ORACLE_HOME = /u02/app/11.2.0/grid

    Hi snowflake, '

Since u removed directories using the "rm" command, it removes only the installed files. There are some entries will be in/etc/oracle, / etc/inittab and some symlinks in /etc/rc.d (1,2,3,4,5,6) files. You must manually but carefully remove these entries, then force kill any crs, jar css process and reboot the machine. so no crs, css he's start at the start of the process. And then repeat the fresh install.

  • The planning configuration fails on the new server of Db.

    Hi guys,.

I want to reconfigure my EPM 113 system on new computer server Db, but with the old databases, (restored from the old machine to Db)
All components have been configured well, except for planning.

    Here's the scenario,
I have 3 of the system,
    A: EPM 11.1.1.3
    B: SQL server 2005
    C: SQL server 2008

Now I want to upgrade DB to import all the basics when re configuring EPM system with system 'C', then 'B' 'C'
All components have been configured correctly but at configuration time of the workspace in the configurator to connect to the base is oriented planning database.
so I changed my workspace database and configured it get successfully but after I tried to configure the planning he get failed.

any idea? Did I miss a step?

You know that 11.1.1.3 is not supported with SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 supports the 11.1.1.4

    See you soon

  • Oracle 11G Configuration problem

    Hi all
I am installing Oracle Forms and reports 11 g [11.1.2].

I installed Oracle 11 g, getting a problem when configuring it.

INST-07249: year Unexpected error occurred during validation of Middleware location home
INST-07286: specified Oracle Middleware locationdoes House has no version 10.3.5 WebLogic server. Then by configuring the weblogic server will fail if the version is incorrect

WLS 10.3.5 were installed, and I can access the admin console.
I did checked for version WLS in its registry file created during installation of WLS to confirm its version number.

I used the same location House middle ware that I used to install the WLS.

Please can you get me some information to overcome this problem?

    Hi rafik,.

Port 5556 is used by the Manager of nodes. Simply stop Node in your Windows Services Manager and click on 'Retry' market area to create. It should work. If you have already left the Setup Wizard before running it again, make sure to Node Manager is stopped before you try.

The problem is that the Oracle Fusion Middleware Installer is smart enough to know that Node Manager is already listening on port 5556, so he's trying to start again on that port node management. This is a problem since the installer of Forms 11 g 1 matter :)

    Thank you
