11i 12i fast installation - directory structures and users

Hi all

We run 11.5.9 and become just at our feet with the quick installation of 12i. We have already updated our database of 10.2.0.4.

Each of our oracle environments works on two nodes - forms/Web on W2003 and everything on HP - UX.

The HP - UX server is the DB and the demand for our Production and TEST environments - and we have two servers W2003 that make Web forms to PROD and TEST.

My questions surround the user accounts on the HP - UX server. Please keep in mind this server manages the PROD and TEST.

We have a user oracle (DBA group) and a user applmgr (PAO group) on the UNIX - these our PROD and TEST service accounts.
I'm a little confused on the quick installation instructions. It shows that it takes to all run as root - and then you can specify other users (for example, oracle and applmgr).
(1) when we ran fast installation first, he did a chown of oracle: dba at applmgr:oap on the DB oracle_home. Is - this law/make sense?

Not correct. RDBMS_ORACLE_HOME will be owned by the Oracle user.

I suggest that you set up multi-user (applmgr and oracle).

    You can use no mixing to compile BC locally. BC is SAAS - Software as a solution, and you cannot compile it and its data locally. Simple as that really.

    You can use several file extensions to include in British Colombia. A common set of community is Inc. includes, .tpl for models, for example.

    I think the essential lack of your property is your liquid not application of the BC, your use of the syntax is incorrect and you try to develop locally which you will not be able to do.

    After that transfer standby Redo logs creates primary and made to sleep on the foregoing, mentioned the directory structure and after restoring the alongwith primary db backup, that ensures the control file will not affect the journal of physics again placed watch on the above mentioned location.

    Yes, files should be created under the directory mentioned in the path of the parameters 'db_file_name_convert' and 'log_file_name_convert.

  • Directory structure

    I just created a network for Q4 version Installer.  We have developers, full and debug licenses.  DVDs were copied on the hard disk of the computer of the VLM.  When I created the Debug configuration, the installer of network reported the DVD should not be changed and copy them directly.  Once you have completed the installed network, it does not create the directory structure similar to what the help file below shows.

    I have a bunch of files that are located on a network computer that has a shared parent directory.  I need to create a shortcut to the .exe which are in each directory.  There are more than 1000 directories, so the creation of all the shortcuts by right-clicking on each one of them is out of the question.  Shortcuts created to point to the original files, even though I'm moving shortcuts to another system.  You should be able to run the exe file from the network share from any system on the network.  I use robocopy with like to copy the directory structure and all the files in each directory except the .exe due to their size.  I wish that the finished product to fit on a USB key so that I can plugin for any system and then run the program pointed to by the shortcut.  Basically, it will be a reference in offline mode that can be used on a system that is online.

    You can use this simple method that I am.


    Take backup of production with rman:

  • Installation directory is not correctly structured - Netbeans

    I installed Netbeans 7.3.1 and installed Oracle WLS 12.1.2.  I used the WLS GUI to create a domain, using the default values as my choice.  Now, when I go to Netbeans to add the WSL server, I get the message "the specified installation directory is not properly structured."  I am new to WSL, but from what I can tell, the directory structure looks like at it's good.

    I missed a step, or just what?  Any help would be appreciated.

    I just had this problem.

    The problem was that netbeans could not access the weblogic installation directory tree. Maybe that you install root or administrator for netbeans can not read the directory structure.

    The error provided by netbeans is enough wave and confussing - as usual. just a "chown-r user: *" in your weblogic installation directory should do the trick (under linux).

  • Why finder hide Documents and office files in the home directory of the user by activating iCloud drive? What about the behavior of Time Machine backup or third-party applications?

    I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.

    -J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.

    -J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.

    -This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.

    -Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?

    -Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc. It's very confusing.

    This raises several questions:

    -In the first place, why Apple hide Documents and office files in the directory? Why not view these folders in iCloud and directory?

    -Whence the iCloud folder or drive, reside actually on my hard drive?

    -What time Machine. Is it still back up my document files and folders?

    -What games third-party app mirroring backup of My Documents files and folders? They still work properly? (I use Livedrive backup and Sugarsync for files mirrored across several macs).

    -How can I understand that Apple is doing with my folders and files? Some users might be happy with the iCloud drive concept, without worrying about how it works, but I don't take chances, and I want to keep a good understanding about the functioning of my system.

    Could someone explain what is exactly happening?

    With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.

    My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.

    If you want in the Favorites, open iCloud Drive and drag them in the sidebar here.

    All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".

    ~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.

    I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.

    In Windows 7, the AllUsers folder is not a real file.

    It is a symbolic link that redirects to the C:\ProgramData folder.

    ProgramData is not hidden, by default.

    The correct syntax for the Attrib command would be,

    C:\>attrib h ProgramData

    You can view all files by going to the tab options\View Organize\Folder and research.

    In the section files and hidden files , place a check mark in the Show drives, folders and hidden files.

    Click Apply/OK.

    Hi all. I am merging two iTunes use directories of media on a much larger storage than before.

    The directory more recent, that I used on my MacBook Pro for many years, is full of AAC files.

    The directory is older, that I use for backup, is filled with many files exact same song in Apple Lossless format.

    What would be the best way to merge these two directories, paste all Apple Lossless to AAC files existing files?

    Of course, I don't want to open the directory structure down to the individual files and do it this way. I want to be able to put all the old structure on top of a more recent and have it automatically determine where to put what.

    I experimented and discovered that when the files in Lossless format paste AAC files, iTunes keeps all the metadata and uses just that the Lossless files as if they were the same.

    I have already asked the hosts to move this topic to the iTunes for the Mac community, where more experienced den iTunes users and can help you.

  • In previous versions of the CVI, use OpenFile with no path intended to look into the local path (i.e. the installation directory). Is there a way to do this in 2013 CVI?

    I use an .ini file to allow users to change the preferneces for starting the program. In the past, this file has lived in the installation directory and OpenFile could find the file cheerfully and apply preferences. In CVI 2013, the program seems to need an implicit path to the file. Is there a way to get around this?

    I use not yet CVI2013, but in any case, you can build up to a full path of a file in the folder of the application using the GetProjectDir and MakePathname commands when running.

    Your symptoms point to a Graphical Identification and Authentication (Msgina.dll) file that has been replaced by your netgear installation.  The following items describe your condition and suggest alternatives:
