  Of course, I'd appreciate some advice on the treatment of a keyboard device driver error.  Things were fine yesterday, but today, stop the keyboard. Keyboard displays a yellow alert with code 39.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but it will reinstall with the same alert.code.  I tried a find update but can't find anything more recent Windows.  I looked on the Lenovo download site but haven't seen a keyboard driver.  Couldn't get into safe mode, but does not have msconfig through the keyboard to the diagnostic boot insto mode screen, but the same results.  Any help is greatly appreciated... it seems it shouldn't be so difficult, and of course miss me something obvious.  Thank you

  After abandon it and post my request for help, I found the answer.  Search the Web more upturned one clue which led elsewhere... and I found that an update of Threatfire which I run didn't copy a new tfkbmon.sys of keyboard (used to help in the detection of keylogging apparently) driver in the drivers folder.  Things has worked after updating but the restart was the culprit and I forgot the programme asking to install an update earlier.  Downloaded the file from the TF community forum in the drivers folder and everything is now ready to go.  Thank you

  Today, I bought a new X201i of an online store. It was delivered with a Vista installation and a
  Windows 7 32 CD as a 'help your car kit' (Yes, the price was good.)

  To be on the safe side, while optaining a "safety training", I removed the original and installed a HD
  other hd for a test installation.

  I downloaded all the 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 (I hope) and then I did the installation.

  Everything seems to work, I see. The only thing is that there is an error meg in the
  Device Manager I do not understand.

  Under storage controllers, it will indicate:

  ! AG79FBFS IDE controller.

  When I go further this device, I can see that it says that there is no addresses of free memory for this device (or something like that.)

  I tried to remove it and restart. I tried to disable and everything seems to work well.

  (When I do that it replaces the text string before the IDE controller with a new one.)

  On this forum someone in idea what this error message mean reaaly and eventuelly how to get rid of it?

  I also installed a 3G modem (which works well), but the error was there before the modem.

  It apeared that the problem concerned only an incorrect virtual disk. It was actually not releated to the X201i at all.

  I bought a laptop Lenovo X100e used with Windows 7 Professional. It was a great computer, but when I go on the internet, it behaves as if the connection is slow or wobbly, even if the connection is fast. This is especially true of the streaming video, who stutters so much, it is virtually impossible to watch Netflix or YouTube or any other video streaming service. It is also a great computer so I really want to solve this problem, rather than buying another computer.

  I used this laptop on my network domestic WiFi so much and a direct connection with the same behavior. I diagnosed my network speed and its good, usually around 20Mps, again I tried this laptop in public places like Whole Foods, and it has the same: wobbly connection. I have an old Dell Latitude that works and it works great on the same network internet and I used my phone on my wifi at home and it works fine, so it's clearly the Lenovo.

  The network cards are 11 b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II and Realtek GBE Family Controller christophepaille. I checked the drivers for the two (using Device Manager), and they are both currently. I used the function "diagnose problems" and found nothing. I googled for problems with them and have not found much.

  There is also a Qualcom Gobi 2000 listed (it's a WAN wireless driver for Windows 7) under other devices and he says "there is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information. I tried updating the driver, but got an error message saying "Cannot find Windows driver." software for your device I have no idea if this is relevant.

  In addition, the laptop plays the video without any problem if it is a file on the local drive, such as mp4, so I don't think that the video problem is in itself. It is the general communication with a network. Again, I don't think it's a problem of wifi because I get the same behavior, even if I plug a cable network directly to my router.

  Try these steps and check:

  Method 1:

  I suggest you run a Sfc scan on the computer and check.

  a. click Start, type cmd in the Search box, right-click cmd.exe in the programs list, and then click run as administrator.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

  b. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

  CHKDSK /R

  c. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
