  • In Labview 8.5, what happens if the input signal exceeds the scope of the signal defined by the DAQ Assistant?

    Hi all

This should be a pretty simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer online and currently do not have the functionality to test this:

I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 and have a VI that imports data from sensor through the DAQ Assistant. In the configuration tab, there is a range of signal input. What happens if my sensor exceeds this range? I get a warning? The default value is the maximum (or minimum)? I was interested in writing a code to display an error that I approach the limits of this range, but did not know if I also need to include code to display an error if the scope is exceeded as well.

    Thanks for the help,

    Tristan

    Hello, Tristan,.

The behavior depends on the selected range and the device you are using.

If you are using a device with a single input range is valid, we will use this range, even if you set a smaller minimum and maximum in the DAQ Assistant.  So, if your device only supports ±10V and you set the range to ±8V, you will still continue to get valid data after your top sensor 8V until what you approach 10V.  When you reach the limit of the extent of your device, the output will be 'rail', and simply return the maximum value until the signal is less than the maximum value again.

Note: A device that is nominally ±10V usually has a go-around (such as ±10.2V) which are usually specced in the manual.

However, if you use a device with several ranges of entry then things become more complex.

NOR-DAQmx player will choose the smallest range that entirely covers the interval you choose.  For example, suppose that your device supports the following input range: ±0.2V, ±1, ±5V, ±10V and you choose 0V - 3V as the range in the DAQ assistant.  The NOR-DAQmx driver will focus on the input range and the list of the entry lines that your hardware supports and choose the smallest encompassing the entire range that you set.  This would be the ±5V, because this is the only beach that contains up to 3V.  Thus, all between ±5V input signal is returned and none outside this range will be 'rail' to the maximum or minimum value.

We do this because using small beaches make more efficient use of the resolution of the ADC.  So, we try to use the most effective range based on what you ask without picking up a range that will make you miss data.

Let me know if I can clarify it more.

  • Integration of the signal from Y1 to Y2

    Hello guys,.

I have a problem and I would like to ask your help, look, I built a VI that supposed to be able to integrate a certain value Y1 [increase] signal to another value Y2 [who]... Please see the photo.

Right now I am only able to identify the values on the axis of time and points [X] index.

The attached program, it is able to integrate some X 1 X 2 value another value (this is useless to me)

What I really want to do is to perform an integration of the signal using the y-axis, by selecting the first value [Y1] when the curve is raising and the second [Y2] value when the curve is declining

How can I do this? You guys have any ideas?

    Please help me

I have attached a diagram of what I want to do, the VI and a TXT file with data that must be integrated

    Thank you

This is because the sliders are locked to the plot. So they can only go to the values where there is a data point.  If you create an indicator of table and look at the data values are near index 106 (X 1 Index), you'll see that the intervals ranging from a few thousandths to 3, 4, 5, between the points.

You can create a free slider. It will not focus to data so the location of the cursor can be anywhere in the plot.  The increments on which depend on scale of the graph. I get = 0.002 dX and dY = 0,096 on the chart on the version I posted earlier.  I connected the slider. Bouquet to the threshold instead of 2 Y1 and it changes the area under the curve in small increments when moved up and down along the steep part of the curve, which is what I expected.

  • How to check the power of the signal to an extended airport

I have 2 Airport extreme. (new 802.11ac versions)

We're at the bottom, connected to a cable modem, and the other is implemented as an extension to the floor.

6.3.6 Airport utility I can click on a base station and place the cursor on a connected client and see the quality of the connection to this computer / iOS device.

I would like to see the quality of the signal to the base station to the floor, so I can move it around to get the best signal.

Is it possible to see this value? The only thing I can think to do is to stop the base station to the floor and move a laptop or iPhone around up there and check it is the strength of the signal and take the strongest spot is the best place to put the Extender.

    Thanks for any help.

If you point to a connection, it should show some details. Where mine says excellent.

Of course, the old utility was much more useful. It will give you signals at both ends... and you can start a second screen and put them side by side. Subsequently is not always better in Apple utilities...

If you do a google search 5.6.1 utility yosemite

You will find how to install it... work on el capo as well.

Is it possible to see this value? The only thing I can think to do is to stop the base station to the floor and move a laptop or iPhone around up there and check it is the strength of the signal and take the strongest spot is the best place to put the Extender.

The use of the office phone or laptop running a wifi Analyzer is also a very good way to do it... the signal is not different... in other words the place that is best for one device will be also the best for another... This also gives you a way to attach numbers to signal loss in any particular area.

  • Digitization and adaptation of impedance of the signal source entries

I'm trying to measure the voltage difference and the time between the two entrances of a USB-5132 digitizer. The switching interval that I try to capture is ~ 150uS and I intend to acquire ~ 25K samples (50MS/s for 500, although it is an overdose of sampling frequency). The digitizer is 1 M ohms entered and I wanted to use the 100 SMA 50 ohm cables to connect to the source of the signals which in addition to several kohm impedance. My knowledge of RF is low and I am concerned about the impedance matching between the digitizer inputs, impedance source and wiring. What kind of considerations to I need to avoid degrading the signal? The switching signal is pulse-like and is rich in harmonics and on a sample of 500K samples/s scope is represented accurately. Should what kind of considerations I do about the impedance?

    Hi William,.

There will be some problems if you try to use a source that has an impedance of several kohms. You will probably get the reflections of signals. What is the source of your signal has several kohm impedance?  I'd take a peek through the following article Developer area that describes some of the considerations when it comes from impedance matching. Specifically, I would check the last section corresponding resistive. This should give you a better idea of what to worry about your application.

  • Change the scope to the server telnet on vista home?

How can I change the scope for the Telnet Server on the local subnet only in Vista Home Premium?

I have two photos, it shows what I'm trying to replicate on XP Professional, the other shows my problem that I can not understand how more open port 23 for everyone. By clicking on the "Advanced" tab won't let me change anything either. I am logged as administrator on my own machine, but I have to be able to set up on the computer of someone else. I use my own to learn, since I created my machine as a home for Vista/Windows 7 dual pro. BTW, the icon of autocratic updates is because I did not start VIsta in some time.

    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/10736018@N05/sets/72157629201945937/

Basically, I want to limit the scope for applications of telnet entering 192.168.1.0/24 subnet only IP addresses. Any other IP address should be removed by the firewall.  I can't find a way to change things by using the built-in options. I disable the integrated thing and try to make my own? Outgoing requests to telnet on port 23 must be unrestricted.

I think he should focus on inbound and outbound rules rather than firewall traffic rules. There is a tab on the properties.

I can't use my WiFi on my laptop.  It shows that the connection is made and the signal is strong, but can not use Internet Explorer.  WiFi switch is on.  I tried the Windows button more X and that did not help.  I get an error message: the NIC "Realtek TRL8187B Wireless 802. Get the latest drivers from the support site for the computer and try to install after you remove the old drivers.

  • Where are the numbers in the scope of the RGB Parade?

I'm relatively new to the rank of speed but to understand the basics of color correction. I imported my media and shot upward with the analytical tools and none copes or waveforms have numbers on them to help me understand where the levels are in fact. There is barely any line in the graph either. I can't tell if I'm missing some sort of framework for SpeedGrade or if there is a problem with the program. Any thoughts?

Well well, the word "laptop" explained all this. Your graphics card is very capable of handling things... especially for this screen. I've seen this before where the laptop screen is semi "stripped" of things & external is 'normal '. Be grateful, you can run... my laptop say Photoshop & Lightroom handles like a breeze. Fast & furious... but... video... nada. PrPro, just the box the long, slow & s l o w e r... SG? No case at all. The program rises and scopes to display like yours, but there is no picture in the playback window. Can I use the color wheels & watch the signals carried move... and that's all.

  • App to determine the "Signal strength" airport

I have 1 Airport Extreme Base Station (5th generation) in my house.

I have a 2nd Airport Extreme Base Station (also 5th generation) in a separate building in my back yard.

The 2nd airport is connected to the airport 1 via an Ethernet Cable that runs through an underground conduit.

I'm sure I used to have an App on my iPhone that would check the 'intensity of the airport Signal' as opposed to the 'speed '.

Maybe it was on my old iPhone 4S & it was never transferred to the iPhone 6 Plus?

Whatever it is, I can't seem to find the app anywhere.

Does anyone have an idea on what this app can have been called or who made it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

iOS does not allow access to the wifi signal measures last I checked...

However, I can recommend the app Netspot (PC/Mac friendly) to measure the signal wireless throughout your home.

  • 40TL933F - lost the signal while turning on Xbox or ADSl box TV

    Hello everyone,

I just bought a 40TL933F yesterday and I watch TV via an antenna: everything is good, but when I turn my xbox or my router, the signal is lost. He then reappears when I turn my xbox.

Does anyone have an idea to explain and fix it?
    Thanks for your answers,

    Socrate25

Would it be possible that your TV will automatically switch to the channel where the Xbox is connected?

I have another TV and something similar happens to me if I turn on my blue ray player.
The TV detects the blueray drive and will automatically switch to the HDMI port where is connected the BD player.

  • Qosmio G30-220: HD-DVD via HDMI - error message Impossible to export the signal

    Hello

When I play a HD-DVD on my G30-220 LCD_panel, it works like a charm (with the Toshiba HD - DVD player software).

When I switch to dualview to export the signal through HDMI to my LCD TV (HDCP), I get an error message:

' Cannot implement the signal. Please switch to the internal display "(this is not the exact English message. I get the error message in Dutch and I've translated).

    Hello

As much as I know the dual display is not possible. Either watch you on LCD display or on the TV. The two of them at the same time will not work. Reason because it's the protection against copying, and also because of very high data transfer.

I tested it with Qosmio friends on my LCD HD-ready TV.

As I am only interested in recording TV shows, I really need find a signal through WMC. Please can someone help I think I ever recover calls promised from the technical support line. Oh, I followed all the instructions, but the analysis through Windows Media Center does not give any signal.

    ADMISI,

Exactly how do you connect your NTL cable box to your Qosmio?

  • My Toshiba 22EL833G ceases to receive the signal from my Satellite U300 - 13H

    Hello

When I connect my laptop to the TV and turn it on, I first receive signal at the entrance to loading windows, but when it comes to enetring my password, stops the TV receives the signal. I'm sure that problem comes from the TV as when you use another screen, everything is ok.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Thank you all for your time

    Hello

What password do you mean exactly?

If you think the troublemaker is your TV then you're in big trouble.
Why? Because there's not a lot of parameters that could be changed.

You must ensure that you use HDMI right channel (I assume you are using HDMI connection). From my point of view, it is one and only parameters that must be set for television.
