• Gradient limit appears printed, but not on the PDF?

  Hey guys! Hope you can help me with this.

  I export a PDF from InDesign. The PDF looks fine, but when I print it seems as if a degraded border has a stroke applied. In InDesign, I confirmed that the race is 0, but I still get a slight black line when printing. In addition, it seems only to print our high quality color printer - when I print from an old black and white there is no line. Can anyone think why this might be?

  I can also confirm the problem here on my printer Adobe PostScript 3, using Acrobat 7, 8 and 9. The problem goes away if I turn on the option 'Print as Image' in the Acrobat Advanced Print dialog box. If your black and white printer is not a PostScript device, it is actually doing the same thing. (Note that I do not mean 'Print as Image' as a good solution because it can change the color output, may take long time to print, and if you send the file to someone else to production, it might be difficult to guarantee that they will do the same.)

  The line occurs on the lower edge of a raster image that was created by the flattening of transparencies Adobe to simulate your gradient in a 1.3 PDF (flattened). I would say either try PDF 1.4 or higher. If it is not acceptable for some reason, I would suggest making sure that gradient background will completely to the bottom of the page AND the gradient fade to something else than white (for example, 0 C, 0.5 M, 1.0Y, 0 K). If all goes well, which results in the raster image created by flattening to extend completely to the bottom of the page and put the mean line off the page...

  We have just received our Laser Jet printer and tried to print a PDF document that has a barcode in the lower left corner. The document print very well however the barcode area is empty and the numbers under the barcode are printed.

  How can I get the barcode to the printer?

  If you are unable to work on them, you can try to repair your Acrobat once and then see how it goes.

  Launch Acrobat > place you help > Repair Installation

  Were you able to save the PDF file, or it caused problems?

  If there is no error message or or any other invites all by doing one of the functions, please update on the same.

• Printer print is no longer the entire page, margin is 2inches

  Hello my printer now has a margin at the top of about 2 inches! In other words, that it cuts the bottom of documents. Help!

  Thank you for your advice, however, although I was able to make suggestions, copies, I just printed are still the same, a margin of 2 inches at the top, truncating the bottom

I also downloaded the file and tried to print from a pdf file, changed from landscape to portrait and even changed the size to 85%, and the result was that the margin was even greater at the top! So next time, I'll try to do the above 100% setting but this is a work around and not a solution. That being said, if it works I'll be happy that I need this document today! But in the future, I want to have this problem. Get frustrated and ready to buy another brand of printer.

  OK I figured it! Someone prolly my child has changed the format of legal paper! Gee whiz. It's corrected now.

• HP 990 cm print is no longer the color since the upgrade to the new iMac with Mountain Lion

  Have an older CV (990c, m series) which worked fine on my iMac Leopard PPC (X.5.8) running.

  Since the upgrade to the new Intel iMac running Mountain Lion (the most recent software upgrades / w X.8.2) this printer will print only in black and white, despite having new color and cartridges inkjet black installed - even the test pattern that prints automatically when I changed the print cartridges only in B & W.

  The detailed print dialog box that appears when I try to print a color page does not include the usual option to print in color.

  I think that HP is no longer provides this older printer drivers but guess they are in the software updates in Mac OS.

  Someone has an idea how I can fix it, or is it just time to recycle this printer and buy a new one?

  Please try to repair Acrobat DC, because this will open Acrobat > help > Repair Installation.

  After repairing, restart the computer and then try to create pdf.

  The PDF explaining compatible printers for hp printer control app includes the 8500 a, which is confusing. The House eprint & biz will scan the glass, not the adf, which can be useful. Thank you.

• Links not transmitted to the PDF in RH7

  I have 4 Webhelp projects that generate PDF files. RH7 is supposed to keep hyperlinks in the PDF file and it did on the first volume I have converted and compiled. But the second volume is only keeps does not links, even if I have to "Add links to PDF" and "Retain hypertext links" checked in the verified Documentation Print Panel. Once the PDF file generated none of the links that are not actually the work of path. In the first draft all links between the subjects work very well... in this case, they do not. The two projects are the same age, created in RH5. This is simple text (Manual of compliance) with nothing strange. The links were all created with drag-and-drop.

  My only suggestion would be to try others and see what you get. Which might reveal something that might help to understand the issue of the #2 Volume.

  In addition, you could try of generating a Doc printed in Word first, then convert PDF Word.

  I suspect a form any corruption in #2, and you can try to create a new replacement project and re-import everything, but it would be a last resort thing.

  Looks like you somehow accidentally active the option print to file in the Advanced Options print dialogue. Uncheck that and this problem should go away.

  Printing takes a long time to get through.

  JPEG - normal queue and printing of print.

  Reinstalled all the software and printer cleared by unplugging all cables.
