13D-4100cto: migration of oem software

I had on my old HP dv4 OEM of Cyberlink media suite 10.  I just bought a x 360 Sepectre and tried to install Cyberlink and he couldn't because it can be installed on a HP computer.  Why he thinks that my HP is not an HP computer?  What can I do to install it on my new?

Thanks for the education.

I know that you are not wanting to go back to Windows 8. 1 - the information I provided is only for the Applications (ie the OEM software) & drivers (which may be missing after the upgrade).

The FIPS AppDrv disk is your own back up of these applications you can do when you purchased your PC.

The eRecovery media will contain your full operating system (IE Windows 8.1).

  • Windows 7 Pro OEM software on a new system of charging

In an effort to fix my computer, I recently bought and installed 7 Pro OEM software. All went well for about 2 weeks and then the motherboard failed. I built a new computer and want to install the software OEM Pro 7 on it. Will Microsoft be enable / allow it makes me? Who should I contact?

Well Microsoft's policy is that an OEM license is tied to the first motherboard on which it is installed. You can try to install it and then reactivate over the telephone, some guests had the chance to get reactivated:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • Windows 7 OEM Software

I plan to buy enough computer parts to build a computer. I'm not a commercial Builder, I am a Home Builder. I will be able to use the Windows 7 OEM software without getting into trouble? I don't don't want to spend hundreds on computer parts and stuck without being able to install an operating system.

Although strictly speaking OEM must only be delivered system integrators, it is readily available. Why is a moot point, but as noted at various points in the creation of Microsoft privacy no details are collected to identify the user. As is the case there is no way to distinguish yourself as a user of any other owner of a computer of a small System Builder using simple OEM packs.

What is the best way to migrate your Adobe software on another computer?

Install the software, does not migrate/transfer it.  If you need to download links for the software and see you not in your Adobe account online, just determine what applications or Suites is necessary and it might be possible to provide links.

  • I have a windows xp OEM SOFTWARE license key, but the drive has failed. This key will work on any XP installation disc?

due to a major problem, I have to completely remove the operating system (under license). can I still use this key to set up windows again? I have a key to the back of my sticker only computer laptop written "SOFTWARE OEM windows xp". Can I use this key with any windows xp cd? or I have to use a specific version? can u give me the link to download the specific version?

    Thanks in advance

You must use the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer (or the integrated recovery system) - see you manual for more details.

The major advantage of this is that all the required drivers should be included, so that you can immediately connect to the internet and install all updates.

Reisntalling using the sysstem of correct recovery also means that you shouldn't need to use the key on your COA stiker - as key to 'master' of the manufactuerer is integrated into the system and should not require activation.

  • Can I do a clean install of Windows 8 (without the DELL OEM software)?

    Hi people,

I just bought a DELL Inspiron 17R laptop computer which came with Windows 8. I want to install an aftermarket SSD and do a clean install of Windows 8 on the SSD without all the stuff extra DELL piles on the computer in their factory. However, the laptop does not come with any media of Windows 8. My other options (copy windows divide in the SSD or use Windows backup and restore), both result in installing Windows 8 with a lot of software DELL.

DELL said that they do not have the installation of Windows 8 media and I need to contact Microsoft to get it. Any ideas on how I can go about this? I'm happy to pay a nominal fee for the discs, but having already an OEM of Windows 8 installation, I want to avoid going to the shops and buy a new license.

    Any ideas are much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Chris

Unfortunately, your only option is to create a disk backup and restore using recovery tools provided by Dell and use it to reinstall Windows 8. This is especially true because you run Windows 8, which are not available elsewhere.

    or

    SSD of cloning:

You can clone the installation for the SSD, provided that the SSD is large enough to accommodate the installation to be cloned.

    See

http://www.ssdfreaks.com/content/664/how-to-clone-HDD-to-SSD-with-Windows-7s-own-software or (easier) use a copy of the trial of Acronis True Image Home.

Note that, immediately after cloning, you must stop and unplug the original installation. The disc can be reconnected once the DSS started successfully.

Make sure you have the product keys (and the media) for any application that you have installed.

Also is your XP product key even readable on the sticker?
