I have a windows xp OEM SOFTWARE license key, but the drive has failed. This key will work on any XP installation disc?
due to a major problem, I have to completely remove the operating system (under license). can I still use this key to set up windows again? I have a key to the back of my sticker only computer laptop written "SOFTWARE OEM windows xp". Can I use this key with any windows xp cd? or I have to use a specific version? can u give me the link to download the specific version?
Thanks in advance
You must use the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer (or the integrated recovery system) - see you manual for more details.
The major advantage of this is that all the required drivers should be included, so that you can immediately connect to the internet and install all updates.
Reisntalling using the sysstem of correct recovery also means that you shouldn't need to use the key on your COA stiker - as key to 'master' of the manufactuerer is integrated into the system and should not require activation.

OEM license key will work with sales facility in retail Windows
Originally titled: My driver's license - which is preinstalled - will work on a new installation.
It is a long story. I have a Sony VPCEB1S0E. I got a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit preloaded on it.
Backstory:
My laptop crashed about 1 year ago. If a friend of my uncle has reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Lately, I realized that it is a Windows patched copy. It does not say it is authentic, but I think that it is loaded with a magazine or something. I used the command slui.exe 3 and entered my old key for my Home Premium edition. He said that the key that I entered belonged to another edition of Windows.
Present:
So I tried to download an iso. using the new recovery software Page. However, when I entered my old product key, it displays an error saying:
Unsupported product
The product key you have entered seems to be the software that was preinstalled on a device. Contact the manufacturer of the device for soft recovery options.
I managed to download an iso of Home Premium. file from a trusted source.
Main question:
If I reinstall a new copy of Windows Home Premium, my existing license key will work during installation?
Yes, the product key will work because it's the right 'Home Premium' edition.

My driver will not start. May not be the problem, but it started after I downloaded itunes.
Hello
You may need to uninstall iTunes to get the drive working again.
Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves the problem.
Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

5 vsphere license keys will work on vCenter 4.1?
My attempts to record the vSphere license keys 5 on vCenter 4.1 failed with the message "License not found error 5 license file.
Anyone have any idea if this is due to the difference in versions (ie the vsphere licenses 5 on vcenter 4.1)? or is it perhaps something else?
No, the keys do not work.
You must connect to Vmware and manage your license, do a downgrade. (you can do an upgrade later)
You cannot use both licenses at the same time.

Hi Steve,.
Here's an article that might help: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060
Method One
- Completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
NOTE: If you get a code 39 message, it may be that additional third-party filter drivers were added to UpperFilters and LowerFilters values in addition to Adaptec filter drivers. In this case, you can try to remove the first non-Adaptec filter drivers, filters Easy Creator by leaving in place to see if the Code 39 goes away. If you still receive an error code 39, 32 or 31, delete Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely values in the previous key.

I lost my CD of Windows XP OEM for system integrator, but still have the cd - key
Hello
My system is corrupt and I need to reinstall Windows XP Professional on my computer.
I have lost my Windows XP Professional OEM cd, if I still have the cd - key.
Anyway, or no matter what number I can contact to get a new cd or other alternatives?
Thank you very much
New CD no longer exists.
Since you still have the valid key, you need to somehow know is how to get one of these CDs. If you're lucky, you know someone who has one. It will work with your key. But it must be authentic, of course! If a friend of yours and if they give you an image .iso of it, then you must verify that these are the hash values:MD5: 9BB3CB003E2C6005FCCC28C305BE05FF
SHA1: DDA4AC450B2174CAC6C15295711330160C237418Otherwise, you will probably wind upward with a version riddled with malware (creeping on the Internet of course) and you should certainly avoid at all costs the versions of malware in prey. -
Microsoft have all Windows 7 OEM ISO downloads and buy an OEM key provider Microsoft Certified OK?
What I hear for question 1 is it a new Digital River (Microsoft ISO download service) since you can now no longer download the Iso of Windows 7 from Microsoft unless you have a retail key. Question 2 is explicit thanks.
No, there is no key only option sanctioned by Microsoft, so be prepared to find the rejected key if you try to download the ISO. The PID is actually built into the authorization key, all other sent by e-mail is meaningless
Microsoft are selling more than Windows 7, all real dealers withdrew the product.

I plan to buy enough computer parts to build a computer. I'm not a commercial Builder, I am a Home Builder. I will be able to use the Windows 7 OEM software without getting into trouble? I don't don't want to spend hundreds on computer parts and stuck without being able to install an operating system.
Although strictly speaking OEM must only be delivered system integrators, it is readily available. Why is a moot point, but as noted at various points in the creation of Microsoft privacy no details are collected to identify the user. As is the case there is no way to distinguish yourself as a user of any other owner of a computer of a small System Builder using simple OEM packs.

Original title: Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 install problem
I have a LG S1 Pro Express dual computer with vista sp2. My Bluetooth Notebook mouse 5000 can be coupled to my computer, but after pairing, it will say "Device Bluetooth HID - ready to use" and "unidentified - device failed. It then opens a window saying "problem of installing the software driver for the device - driver for this device is missing a necessary entry.» Maybe it's because the file INF was written for windows 95 or later. »
I checked some things here and read about intellipoint 7.x and installed but it still does not work. This used to work before mouse
HelloThe drivers that you try to install seems to be corrupted. Let us fisrt remove all traces of the software driver for this device in the Device Manager and then install the drivers from the manufacturer's Web site.Step 1.You can uninstall the audio drivers completely from the Device Manager and re-install from the manufacturer's Web site.
I would also recommend to check if there are Windows updates for this device.Step 2.Here is the link to download the latest drivers.

I bought a pack of Windows 7 OEM System Builder. But now I've lost my product key of the box, how can I recover it?
You can not
The key was on a COA sticker must be on a sticker that you * should * have stamped on the case of the machine.
If the OS is installed (properly with the key), you can read it using a tool such as Belarc Advisor - www.belarc.com
