  Did you know that it's a job for parts of authorized service provider ? If you wish, for the RAM, try it please:

  1. turn off the computer. If you don't know if the computer is off or in hibernation, turn on the computer and then stop it through the operating system.
  2. remove power from the computer by disconnecting the power cord from the computer.
  3. disconnect all external devices from the computer.
  4. remove the battery (see battery on page 27).
  5. remove the optical drive (see optical drive on page 28).
  6. remove the bottom cover (see low cover on page 31).

  DIY will void the warranty.

  Yes, it is easy to remove the cover of the memory at the bottom of the unit.
  I don't think that a single screw covers the memory slot cover. Remove this screw and use something thin and flat to remove the cover

  I guess you have a Z1100 Aspire:

  1. Back cover separated from the upper right corner (B).
  2. Move along the edge of the back cover in a counterclockwise until cover is separate from the flange.
  3. Lift rear cover (C) up to that slot machines (D) are clear of the motherboard connectors, as shown in.
     Be careful when you lift or remove the rear cover to prevent damage to the TV tuner connector.
  4. Remove the back cover.
