Yes it is possible. Also very difficult and if you want a 1 TB SSD very very expensive.

    If you encounter the problem of BlackBerry App World update, then please try this:

    On your home screen the unit go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry App world in this list.

    KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

     

    Once deleted perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery whiel your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return. Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and navigate to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download and download the latest version available for your device.

    After I updated my BlackBerry App World to 3.1.4.25 version, the BB App World installed applications list is empty but I can always use them. Tried resets to 3 or more soft, uninstall and re-install BB App World, try using the desktop software and synchronization of media, but the list is still empty. Now, maybe it's not a problem but it's still boring, that I will not be able to know when new updates are available for my apps unless I have all uninstall and re - install again, I guess that. If someone else has had the same problem or everyone has set this thing yet?

    I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

    3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

    If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

    There was a very recent update to AppWorld itself, which could be called for upgrading.

    After update my App World to 4.0.0.63 the icon is missing on my homescreen. I have no hidden icons and have reset the default layout in the options if nothing appears in the records.   • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ID App world update and battery life

    Hello

    Yesterday, I received a message saying I needed to update my blackberry app world to integrate a Blackberry ID in the new version.  After completing the update, my battery life has been significantly reduced.

    My normal operation autonomy is about 24 to 32 hours.  I got the phone on the charger overnight and after cutting the cord this morning, 4 hours later, I'm at 40% battery, where I should be 90-95%.

    I have not done other updates since the Blackberry ID push, and normally my data usage is low. (IE, less than 300 MB per month)

    You ask what are my options in this case.  I guess I'll have to work on the resettlement of the application through my Blackberry Desktop manager, but I was wondering if there is something I can do in the immediate future.  I've done several soft resets, and it did not help.  I'll do a hard reset (remove battery) and try that.

    I've updated my BB today including AppWorld apps.  Now, I get the following error whenever I try to use App world. "Eception exception: java.langNullPointerException".

    I started using the Application loader in Desktop Manager earlier and keep gettign to Task 4 when the BB crashes and then restarts with the same error message.

    Any ideas on why and especially how I can sort?

    I got a new update last night; This update (automatically) updated the OS on my BB and then updated applications.  It took a time of looooooooonnnng, but now everything works fine.

    I think that your device operating system may be corrupted. You can try the following:

    1. Backup cell phone: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB12487
    2. Backup 3rd party applications: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-back-up-3rd-party-applications-53201/
    3. Perform a new installation of your operating system: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320

    You can restore the 3rd party applications using Add/Remove program and accessing the file alx for step 2: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15172

    Try to install app world now.

    Could have happened to several things:

    (1) the proponent has misidentified something and the AppWorld catalog is messed up now

    (2) RIM has made a mistake and the AppWorld catalog is messed up now

    (3) there may be some technical problem that it blocks

    (4) I don't know there is more...

    As to your question:

    It is impossible for anyone here to know the answer to this. What I suggest is that you contact the developer of the app and report it. They have a different channel in RIM thanks to which they can increase getting AppWorld corrected to properly distribute their application.

    If you want to degenerate into RIM, you through your formal support channel - your carrier.

If I go to App world it askes me to upgrade for me to use it. then e click on upgrade and just need me to Blackberry App World on my native browser. there I can download app and games and so on, but there is no function upgrade.     So I did the app world update, now it doesn't work at all. battery pull, resettled, traction battery (UNIT of BRICK) uninstalled, reinstall the system.

    solved! Just remove app world, after reloading all software for the second time and never reinstall again.

  • Update Windows Reboot Loop

    Recently, I get these pop-ups Windows Update indicating that I have to restart my computer.  I checked to see what updates are being installed, but Windows Update won't disclose.  I spoke with my system administrator, and we discovered that an update KB3033929 was the culprit.  From what we have studied, it was supposed to be update KB3035131 installed before KB3033929... KB3035131 never installed while KB3033929 was.

    I went and removed Windows Update KB3033929 and restarted.  When I open Windows Update, my intention was to manually install the update KB3035131 first, and then reinstall KB3033929 according to the Security Bulletin (which I believe you have published).  However, I performed the following tasks in Windows Update with the respective results:

    • Click on "Check for updates": Windows Update displays the window "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because you must first restart the computer so that a previous installation can be completed."
    • Clicking on the link 'View update history': no display update history.
      • Click on the link "Installed updates" and sought KB3033929... confirmed it has been deleted.
    • Final check of updates: yesterday (22/12/2015) at 14:19
    • Updates have been installed: 12 17, 2015 at 08:50 (down).  View update history (which I already did in the previous step).

    There is another thing that causes this infinite loop?  I thought that getting rid of the KB3033929 update would solve the problem... it didn't.  Please indicate how I can install updates again without having to restart again and again and again.  It is disturbing for my ability to get my things done on the job.  I need to be able to specifically support KB3035131 update successfully before you reinstall KB3033929 as directed by your security Bulletin.

    UPDATE: I had an online chat with a Microsoft representative who was very helpful.  She told me that the next step was to do the following (from a link, she sent me... the solution was provided by "kieferschild"):

    • Click / tap on the Start button and type "regedit" in the search box to launch the Registry Editor tool.
    • In the left pane with the directory tree, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> software-> Microsoft-> Windows-> CurrentVersion->->-> RebootRequired AutoUpdate WindowsUpdate
      • If this key is displayed (i.e., not deleted, data displayed when you select this key), then that indicates that it is corrupted as Windows Update is supposed to automatically remove the key at the end of the updates of Windows.  Delete this key.
    • Close regedit and reboot the system.

    After you complete these steps, I was able to get out successfully the updates available from the link "Check for Updates".  Given that KB3033929 was on the list, but not KB3035131, I checked all the world updates except for KB3033929 for download.  PC restarted when Windows Update completed downloads, and now I have this infinite loop with the update Windows restart process.

    I can understand the problem you are having, but App World update will not update BlackBerry Protect unless we do. So for your first problem that you are unable to see your apps to install on ' My World ' you can try this:

    On your device > Open App World > go to MY world >

    • Hold down the ALT key and type the RST
    • Close App World
    • Then perform a battery pull reboot as this device while is powered on remove waiting battery for a min. and then reinsert it wait until the device take a long restart your computer.

    KB24714 : how to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World.

    Now open App World > go to My World > see if your installed applications appear.

    Regarding your second issue updated BBM, please hold, I see you mentioned your carrier like Airtel so if you are of the India then now BBM7 is not officially released for the India, so no need to update unless you get the notification from app world for this update.
