1830 power injector

Hello

I set up a schedule for a customer.

They require the APs of 1830 with power injectors.

I didn't find the injectors feeding on cisco.com

Cisco makes one? If not, is there a recommended brand?

Thanks in advance!

AIR-PWRINJ4 will support 1830.  Current consumption is for the 1830 is 16.0w and AIR-PWRINJ4 can support up to 20.0w.

Cisco makes the injectors.  The manufacturer of the brand Cisco power injectors is Phihong USA.

  • Power injector vs electrical

In the supply of electric energy to an access point (1252 or 1140), a power injector has no advantage over one local food - other electrical outlet does not need to be nearby? The power injector's disadvantages compared to local food?

    Thank you

    Paul

Right, the main advantage is that an outlet is not required next to each AP. You can also disable a PA stopping the switchport, you can have the flexibility by moving APs, etc...

As far as the AP feature is concerned, there is no advantages/disadvantages to the use or the other. Both provide complete nutrition to the AP.

  • Injector power 802.3af compliant?

I have a power injector (Cisco AIR-PWRINJ3) and I wonder if it is part of the 802.3af food standards.   I'm working on

to power a device non-cisco (give the camera) and for some reason it is not powered by the power injector.  Any ideas?

No, AIR-PWRINJ3 injector is not compatible 802.3af.  It was developed before the standard so it is based on the POE before Cisco standard being ratified.

  • C1250 AP required using POE power

    Hello

I have questions about the AP C1250.

-What are the energy needs POE for the AP and the Cisco 3560 and 4900 is the correct POE power to support?

-Also, should I get the injector of power to power the switch online usage? Another word if PoE, can I connect the Ethernet cable between the switch port directly into the Ethernet port on the AP without the power injector?

    Really enjoyed for more information.

    1250 with a single radio or 802. 11A / n and 802.11bg / n

    15.4

    1250 with two 802. 11A / n and 802.11bg / n radio *.

    18.5W

Basically you can use the 802.3af switch power to 1250, as long as you have the intention to use only 1 radio. If you did, it there would be no power injector and here for the AP could have just an ethernet cable from the ap to the switch.

However, if you plan to use two radios, power exceeds 15.4 (802.3af maximum) which means that you will need to use a special power injector for it or the power room. Otherwise, I think that there are a few switches that support this 'high power' mode, but I don't know what they are...

  • How much input power required for MX700 with two cameras.

    Hello team

Can you please give me a detail on the number of power supply input required for a MX700 with dual screen and two cameras. Is - this device is delivered with a POE injector, integrated for the touch-10?

    Concerning

    Nicolas

You can check the Cisco TelePresence MX700 & MX800 datasheet for detailed information on power requirements.

I think that the CTS-PWR-AIR-INJ5 power injector - delivered with the system default when ordered.

See the diagram below. The power injector is supplied with the device to touch 10 and installed as shown below.

    Kind regards

  • Issue of POE on a N3024

I have two N3024 switches in a stack.  The switches have been for several months.  The AP is only related in recent weeks. Originally, on the State of the power supply, the CLI show power control unit inline, unit was and two was off.  I could never find a command to turn on the monitor unit two. I have connected to the unit one POE access point. Early in the morning of March 11 the AP lost power.  Now, the State of power supply for unit one is off and I can't do any POE device to power to the top of the switch.   Y at - it a command that will turn on the monitor?  What would cause the power turn off without a few more particularly l ' turn off.  What can I do to troubleshoot?   The management mode of power was originally dynamic and I changed it to class to see if that makes a difference.

The AP voltage if I use a power injector, so I don't think that the problem is with the AP.

The status of the CLI command unit is below.

    Thank you

    Dean

    IHR_N3024PR #show power inline

    Status of the unit
    ===========

    Unit........................................... 1
    Power.......................................... Off
    Total power... 550 watts
    Threshold of power... 495 watts
    Power consumption... 0 watts
    Usage limit... 90%
    Energy saving mode... Class
Mode of detection of power... dot3af + legacy

    Unit........................................... 2

    Threshold of power... 495 watts
    Power consumption... 0 watts
    Usage limit... 90%
    Energy saving mode... Class
Mode of detection of power... dot3af + legacy

The CLI and a setting range interface execution of 'power inline never' then 'auto inline power' the power status will change to 'on' and the willingness of POE devices upward.

    Perhaps an alternative exists.

  • Guard dissociation of AP

I have an AP (1131) which keeps separate the controller. He stays alive for about 10 minutes, then it no longer works. I got tired of change to the AP, but has not made a difference. I also tried to change the port on your switch POE 500. My last effort to fix it was to put the AP on a 3550 with a power injector switch. Still no luck.

I don't understand why its doing this. I am able to connect to it and surf the internet for about 10 minutes. After that, he left the controller and just scrolls through the different colors.

Some AP's are ok but some other are not, They are same model. We run the code 6.0.199.4 on the WLC's.

You can try to update your firmware 7.0.X or 7.2.X and try?

  • Aironet 1300 - External Point to Multipoint

    Hello world

I'm looking to expand my network to cover a number of office buildings in an industrial area with a distance of 200 m max to offer 10 MB internet access service supported.

If I had to mount the Cisco Aironet 1300 on a pole with a visibility of buildings and also provide the same Cisco AP on the side of the customer, from this point to multipoint link (mounted outdoors if possible) would need no additional hardware? Other then DHCP, DNS servers, switch and router.

Audit miss me not something important!

    Kind regards

    Tom

I would recommend the 2506. The 24120 would not be a good target for this application. Such a high gain omnidirectional antenna can cause the signal of your remote sites exceeded. And Yes, the internal antennas for remote sites will be just fine. The internal antenna is strong enough and can go at least a kilometre. 200 m is cake for her.

Best practice is to use the supplied antenna cable length and do not lie down. You can definitely do what you're suggesting, but depending on your length of coaxial cable, you will lose a bit of signal in doing so.

The double-coaxial (from the bridge to the power injector) and Ethernet cables can each be up to 100 m in length, with no loss. Therefore, recommended would be:

    Antenna mounted to the mast

    Bridge mounted on mast

    <100m of="" double-coax="" (runs="">

    Power Injector (mounted inside)

    <100m of="" ethernet="" (runs="" to="" data="">

If you want to consider installation of the bridge in your pop and running the antenna cable to the top of the mast, just know what kind of loss, you'll see. Coaxing them manufacturer, Cisco or otherwise, won't say what is the dB/foot or dB/meter, so you can know exactly how much you will lose the length of the cable. I would recommend against the design however, because you might need a larger antenna that will result by distributing a noisy signal.

  • POE for the LWAPP1142N switch

  • Design of bridge of 1300 AP/change

I have a client w / a 1300 AP filled in two buildings (building A, building B).  Background - building has had Internet, building B does not.  The link was constantly going down, so it was turned off and both sites now have Internet.  From time to time, building Internet B falls down (cheaper service) and would like to resurrect the wireless for failover.  There is no documentation, and we found the Air-PWRINJ-BLR2 unit, but can not find the AP unit without mounting in attics.  What is the device that allows us to configure it?  It has a port console - also the IP address is configured on the unit seems to be on the same LAN segment in building A (192.168.10.250 & 192.168.10.251).  I would like to place both ends of the bridge (the building) wireless in a static road route and DMZ port.  How the hell do I realize that if the bridge is configured with the same LAN segments as A building?  I have a router w / ready to plug several ports.

I just need building B to be able to access the Internet via A building if their default internet goes down.

    Building a network

    192.168.10.0/24

    Building B network

    10.20.190.0/24

    Hello

Yes is the console on the power injector port, port of the console for the AP. probably the best way to recover the bridge is to connect the 1310 at a port of etherernet of portable computers and use the port console to learn the IP address of the 1310 and then manage the 1310 with the graphical interface, it can be done with the CLI , but if you have not done a wireless bridge before sticking with the GUI. Both 1310's need to be on the same subnet, it's management is not to fill. the bypass is at level 2, except if you use VIRTUAL LANs, but with routers that shouldn't be a problem. Once you have configured the root router saves the config and allows him to congigure the router no root change IP address and the Non Root role. Connect network cables to the router ports apropriate and you should be set.

That's assuming that you know the name of username/password for the AP from the default is Cisco/Cisco.

If the antennas are setting your deck should be reliable.

based on the level of the signal between the AP I would disable data rate using the flow of G data and possibley B disable the higher rates if the radio stats present of many retrys, mor at 10%.
