C1250 AP required using POE power

Hello

I have questions about the AP C1250.

-What are the energy needs POE for the AP and the Cisco 3560 and 4900 is the correct POE power to support?

-Also, should I get the injector of power to power the switch online usage? Another word if PoE, can I connect the Ethernet cable between the switch port directly into the Ethernet port on the AP without the power injector?

Really enjoyed for more information.

1250 with a single radio or 802. 11A / n and 802.11bg / n

15.4

1250 with two 802. 11A / n and 802.11bg / n radio *.

18.5W

Basically you can use the 802.3af switch power to 1250, as long as you have the intention to use only 1 radio. If you did, it there would be no power injector and here for the AP could have just an ethernet cable from the ap to the switch.

However, if you plan to use two radios, power exceeds 15.4 (802.3af maximum) which means that you will need to use a special power injector for it or the power room. Otherwise, I think that there are a few switches that support this 'high power' mode, but I don't know what they are...

I went to record a live concert, and I need to use a single interface to record the members of the group with microphones near directly to a computer and another interface running for my model of Macbook 4.1 end of 2007, to get signals from the map of the House.

When I plug my converter USB 3.0 AD / DA in my Macbook 4,1 - the computer sends immediately a window indicating to me to "reboot" the computer using the power button / stop. Ideas or comments about why this happens?

I read on this forum that USB ports should work with retroactive effect, or accept USB 3.0 devices, but just use a speed 2.0?

    Thank you.

It could be that it is a requirement of your converter AD / DA she needs to be present at a properly accessible to the OS X when startup sequence it is plugged into a USB2 port.

Its also interesting to note that, well that peripheral USB3 can be plugged into the USB2 ports... it could be that your device may not work properly unless it is used with a port USB3... for reasons of bandwidth or even certain types of power supply.

    But to be sure...

Which converter AD / DA are you using?

  • SG300 - 28 p: POE power drops every few minutes

    Hi all

We have a SG300 - 28 p which, at intervals between 5 and 30 minutes or more, lower power to all its ports POE-powered and then immediately restores power. Switch logs nothing when this happens other than to record that the ports went down and back up, even with debug logging enabled. Non - POE ports are not affected.

When the problem started there were only four POE devices on the switch and we are far under our power budget. (During the test, I added a fifth device, see below.)

Not all combinations of devices cause the drops occur - specifically, it seems that having devices on ports next to each other causing the drops. When the drops occur, absent the increment of POE devices all counters. I noticed this thread earlier here seemed similar:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/thread/2165089

but in this case, he got no power at all in the adjacent configurations, instead of having to drop all the several minutes.

I have the 1.2.2.7.6 ready to go new firmware, I will update this when I get a chance to test it. Unfortunately, it's a switch of production, but it's a with relatively few devices to it so far. If need be, I have a sf300 - 48P I can exchange this sg300 ENJOI trials.

Hi Rich, reference this photo I just drew is a rough interpretation of how a switch 24 ports has guts. Each + block represents a processor. The numbers below represent the port Bank that corresponds to the transformer. Of course, MODULE POE is clearly identified. Each module 12 POE ports for services.

I think you have a completely different question. If the POE works for 5 to 30 minutes, it can be a problem of layer 1 (bad son) or a different, perhaps material condition being disturbed. If the switch is at fault, it seems more likely to be defective to a unit of buggy.  I did a lot of research on the operation of the switch ASIC, transformer and modules of POE in the cohesion.

Quite frankly, I think you should go to the 1.2.7.76 firmware, factory reset the device and test all the ports you want using the same equipment. If maintaining the POE fall every 5 to 30 minutes and you are absolutely positive, that it is not a question of layer 1 or a configuration problem on your products, can I just replace the switch.

    Hey Buddy,

You can use another power supply if it has the same (19V) voltage and intensity or higher (3. 42A or later).

So, it seems that the Kensington diet should work properly! :)

  • Can I use a power supply from 14 to 15 volts DC with my computer

so I bought a p2-1013 desktop computer it has an apxd1-dm, the card mother itx micro with a continuous supply, integrated on the map.

in the description it says it needs a 19 v dc power, but I think that the jury needs 12v and 5v to operate so the provision would naturally be able to offer both voltages to 14-15 volts.

    my questions are so

    1. the Council use something higher to 12v or need something more?

    2. is the continuous converter designed to not be able to correct the fluctuations of tension? (PWM with no correcton feedback)

    3. does anyone think this will work?

probably a rather strange question, its for a school project.

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

    1. the Council use something higher to 12v or need something more?

No, the Council should not should eat something higher to 12volts. Common computer voltages are 12v, 5v, 3.3V and lower for the processor and the memory.

    2. is the continuous converter designed to not be able to correct the fluctuations of tension? (PWM with no correcton feedback)

The computer is basically a laptop computer in a matter of funds. Any laptop I've owned uses a power supply AC/DC with an output of 18.5 to 19 volts DC @ about 3.5 amps.  This configuration is tested... it is known to work. The section of DC-DC on board probably includes dividers voltage and voltage regulators for most of the functions with PWM for the CPU and memory circuits.

    3. does anyone think this will work?

Honestly, I don't think you'll have a bit of luck you try to run the computer on 14-15 volts DC.

  • Can you have SMU 1062 q turn on without using the power button

I use a q SMU-1062 for a test project that will take place inside a protective case.  The power button on the chassis will be covered by a plate on the protective case that make it boring and difficult to switch on using the power button on the chassis.  The chassis will be plugged into a power strip of travel - lite which is mounted in the case.  Is it possible that I can have the power to frame on when I turn on the power strip?

I found another route.  In the controller BIOS, I changed the parameters of loss of AC power to TURN on after that AC is returned.  This allows me to use the power strip in my configuration to control the electric network distributed to the controller.  The following steps will describe how I got this.

    1. Power of the SMU-8115 controller.

    2. A message will appear on your screen, press to enter SETUP

    3. Select 'Remove' (quickly, because you don't have a lot of time before the window disappears and the controller continues to load normally.)

    4. This will open the main Menu of the BIOS

    5. Select the Advanced tab (use the arrow keys to highlight the selections and the different tabs, select a setting change with 'enter'

    6. Select > Configuration power and rest

    7. Change the configuration to power on when power is restored.

The controller can be normally close by using the start menu, and "shut down".

Start button / stop of the chassis is still capable of turning the power on to the controller, but now when I shut off the AC power strip and then return power, get the controller chassis.
